Tuesday Ticker Change 9/5

Your "ticker change day" is the day you switch over to being another full week pregnant (ie: 5 weeks instead of 4 weeks and 6 days).

If your EDD is 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, or 5/29, this is for you!

1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?

2.  How are you feeling?

3.  Any appointments coming up?

4.  Rants/raves/questions?

5.  GTKY: What is your dream vacation?

    1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?
6 weeks! Baby is the size of a pea (so I won't be eating peas this week lol)

    2.  How are you feeling?
The nausea is coming... I feel it. Cramping, which is most likely gas pains, but is still freaking me out.

    3.  Any appointments coming up?
Two more weeks. The wait is killing me!

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
I started gagging at the bus stop this morning and would really appreciate my stomach not showing it's contents to the neighborhood at 6:55am... or ever.

    5.  GTKY: What is your dream vacation?
Italy or Greece. I really can't decide between the two. They both look so picturesque. I want to do all the sight seeing!!

6 weeks. Sweat pea, or Maine blueberry...
    2.  How are you feeling?
I feel good, just tired with some back pain. I have a chiro apt next Wed that I'm looking forward to.
    3.  Any appointments coming up?
9/11.. not sure if it'll be just blood or an ultrasound too...cant remember from last time.
    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
Not really. So far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed I'm blessed with no MS again.
    5.  GTKY: What is your dream vacation?
Ha...we were supposed to go to Australia in April for our 10 year anniversary, so yeah...that'll be in my mind for a while....
  • 1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?
    6 weeks, sweet pea

    2.  How are you feeling?
Tired and nauseous. I never had MS with my first, so I'm not sure if this nausea is the start of it, but I hope not!

    3.  Any appointments coming up?
    Not until 9/28

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
Jist that I don't feel like doing a damn thing haha I am behind on all the regular house stuff and in a perfect world I'd just lay on the couch watching Netflix! But my toddler and work wouldn't appreciate that too much so I'll just complain instead haha

    5.  GTKY: What is your dream vacation?
Greece, Ireland and Spain are my top 3! I'd love to make an epic trip out of that one day

  • 1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?  6 weeks, sweat pea

    2.  How are you feeling?
not great. The nausea and dry heaving started this weekend and if I sit down, I feel exhausted and fall asleep. My boobs don't hurt as much as they did, but I'm still pretty bloated.

    3.  Any appointments coming up?
9/18 is my first appointment. I am very anxious for it to be here.

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
rant- it was hard to hide my nausea and not drinking this weekend with the people we were out of town with. Luckily my bff and her husband helped us out, since we told them that I am pregnant. I'm worried about getting through lunch and dinner today. It's my birthday and we always go out to lunch for birthdays and we are meeting my mom for dinner tonight. I just hope the nausea stays manageable. Rave- we had a really fun weekend overall and it was nice to have a lot of time with my bff. Questions- when are you telling your parents?  I want to wait until after my appointment, but I feel like I will have a hard time keeping it from my mom for two more weeks.

    5.  GTKY: What is your dream vacation?
definitely a hut over the water in Bora Bora or Tahiti.
  • 1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?
6 weeks. Baby is the size of a 6-32 screw.

    2.  How are you feeling?
Nauseated. It's so bad that I make myself extra food cause I know half is about to come back up.

    3.  Any appointments coming up? Second ultrasound Friday!

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
Heartburn and nausea are kicking my butt. Only time I'm not nauseated is when I'm sleeping!

    5.  GTKY: What is your dream vacation?
Germany! Took german in high school....sucked at it but have wanted to go there since.

    BFP: 8.16.17 Heartbeat: 9.8.17 EDD: 5.1.18
  • @mileswithmyles we're telling my parents this weekend because my mom is coming over to stay with us and there's no way she won't figure it out. The bloat is so bad I look several months pregnant and it's pretty hard to hide. This is the longest out of 3 pregnancies that we've waited to tell then.

    1.  How far along are you?  How big is baby?
    6 weeks, sweet pea

    2.  How are you feeling?
Exhausted and nauseous. I've thrown up at least once most days lately and staying awake until I get off work at 3 am has been nearly impossible. Only other major complaint is the bloat because my pants won't buttton.

    3.  Any appointments coming up?
    Not until 10/4.

    4.  Rants/raves/questions?
With the help of a lot of medicine I'm finally getting over bronchitis after almost 3 weeks! Also nervous to tell my parents and the in laws about the baby this week as they were all very outspoken about us not having a third.

    5.  GTKY: What is your
    dream vacation?
Definitely somewhere tropical like The US Virgin Islands or be able to spend a few weeks exploring Costa Rica.
  • @mileswithmyles, I'm not a Tuesday ticker, so technically I guess I'm lurking   My thoughts are this: most people want to wait until later because something might go wrong and they don't want to have to explain to a lot of people about it.  Is your mom someone you would tell and want to support you if something does go wrong?  Then I say tell her.  I'm not super close to my mom, so I'm going to wait a few more weeks to tell her and the rest of our families, but I've already told three of my sisters because we're all very close and I know I would need their support in that time. HTH!

  • @mileswithmyles happy birthday!!!

As for telling parents, I actually told mine a few days before I told DH. They came over to see the bathroom we re-did and I showed my mom a BFP I had stashed in there, telling her it was my biggest renovation.
Usually I don't tell my parents until later - around 10/12 weeks. I love them and they're amazing, but their generation lacks a filter so I usually don't care to hear their comments. They were actually really receptive and supportive, this time.

  • Thanks ladies.  @sandbar517, my mom and I are really close, TW- but she doesn't know about my other loss, mostly because it happened so quick that I just decided it wasn't worth telling her that I was pregnant and that I am not anymore -end TW.  We told her at around 8 weeks last time, but I had already had an appointment.  We will see how tonight goes.  I may just tell her because I hate keeping secrets.
