QOTW--I am not a sports person, but my husband is a die hard Ravens fan. Football is a whole family affair with the inlaws.
I am checking in 31+4 today with a little girl! She is still growing perfect and the next appointment isn't until the 12th which will be about 2.5 weeks since my last but they said that should be ok and then I will start going each week for cervix checks. Can't believe I am so close to the finish line!!
QOTW: I am from Knoxville, TN so we are big UT fans and this year we are going to be cheering on the Steelers since they just picked up the quarterback from UT that graduated last year. Other than that we have really only been big football fans for the past couple of years haha

31 weeks here, I can't even believe how fast it's flying. I'm feeling good, just major pressure down there. I have an appointment this week to talk delivery with my doctor, we had a tough delivery with my daughter (post partum hemorrhaging) so we're going to talk options if there's something we can do to prevent it this time. Curious what she says, I know it may just happen but I'm definitely open if there's something I can do on my end.
I did just order some raspberry leaf tea, heard that helps delivery a bit, anyone know more or drinking it as well?
QOTW Packers and Brewers. Born and raised in WI and while I could take sports or leave them, my husband is the guy who will wear the same socks every game that they win, and stands the entire game. Actually got kicked out of the Atlanta/Packers game with his brother last year because they were a little too... spirited...
QOTW: We are huge Redskins fans in our house. We already have enough onesies to last little man through 9months. We already have a plan in place to be at my mom's house for the first game the weekend after he arrives.

AFM, I'm 28w4d today. I feel like hands/feet swelling is slowly getting worse, but if that's all I have to deal with that's fine. No braxton hicks contractions yet (that I know of). I was browsing the "What to expect..." book and read that really strong ones can cause vomiting. Which, you know, is great to read when you're someone with an intense fear of getting sick.
We have our second labor/birth class this evening. I left the last class feeling informed, but freaked out bc like... this is really happening!
QOTW: I literally follow no sports teams, haha. Go sports! Do the thing! Make the points!

So yeah, I am 38 weeks + 3 days and basically, this means its my last week without a baby! I am scheduled to go into the hospital Sunday evening for cervidil, with the pitocin induction to begin Monday morning! I have 1 more appointment, tomorrow morning, with my OB before it all happens.
It's been a crazy few days- we've been stuck inside with Harvey-related weather (but nothing like Houston is experiencing). It was our last full weekend without a baby, so we packed, caught up on some shows, etc. It still feels surreal to think I could be holding my baby this time next week.
Best wishes to everyone else here!
DH & I both 34.

@joslynj11 It's really going to start speeding up for us now! So happy to hear that everything is perfect with baby girl.
@Polythene Pam I know that pressure feeling that you are talking about. Let us know how the tea goes! I have read that it helps tone the uterus as well.
@latershrader I am so excited for you! You are going to do amazing, and can't wait to hear your birth story!
@LeFemmeViolette I hope your birth class goes well! I frequently get BH contractions but so far no nausea. They are much more intense the last week though. Crossing my fingers that you don't experience any nausea.
@omarismyhomeboy ahhh you are almost there, this is all so exciting! Definitely ready for the Harvey fiasco to be over with. I'm glad you guys are safe!
AFM - 32w3d with baby girl. I'm in Houston so we are experiencing Harvey. Thankfully we don't have interior flooding (just a few ceiling leaks), but we have been stuck in our house for a few days due to flooding. We are so lucky to not be going through what so many others are right now, and I can't help but get emotional when I think about it. Once the water recedes a bit I'm going to try and get out and help as much as I can. The hospital district is flooded right now, so all appointments are cancelled until further notice.
QOTW- I'm not good with sports lol. I guess the Texans are my team so go football!

@lefemmeviolette if it makes you feel any better, I made it through vomit free! I was super nervous about that too! It's most common for it to happen through transition. I'm pretty sure I didn't vomit because my labor went quite quickly... I went from 1cm to 5cm in about 2 hours and then 2 hours labor I was ready to push!
@chocolateislife stay safe!
Thinking of all the Texas mamas out there! Stay safe!
@ChocolateIsLife - we're in Houston too.... so sad. I'm glad to hear you haven't been flooded. We too have been fortunate to stay dry, we feel very blessed.
@omarismyhomeboy - so exciting you're so close. Hope all goes well for you, and that the cabin fever due to weather doesn't bother too much.
@LeFemmeViolette - I am someone who made it vomit free as you know. Knowing how we are, I think you'll be just fine, but totally appreciate the anxiety surrounding it!

latershrader - Good Luck! Hope it's a quick induction, a quick delivery, and a speedy recovery! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it is won't be a c section!
LeFemmeViolette - if it helps, I didn't get sick with my daughter. Hope it doesn't happen with you!
@omarismyhomeboy - Good Luck! Hope you have a quick delivery and speedy recovery!
ChocolateIsLife - I hope you guys stay safe and dry! And be careful - I know you wanna go out there and help but you have to make sure you stay safe, for you and the baby's sake!
@JWatt5 - He's too adorable!
AFM, I am 31 weeks today, only 8 weeks left - oh boy! I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and got a chance to speak with my ob on my delivery options. Basically, we will plan a c section in case I need it but the plan is to push to week 39. My ob doesn't recommend a vaginal delivery if only 1 is head down. So I don't know if I should hope for both to be head down for a possible vaginal delivery? I kind of like the idea of having a planned delivery but at the same time, getting cut open freaks me out, particularly since I have never had a single surgery or procedure that required me to go under the knife. Plus all the stories I've heard about the pain post - c section makes me anxious. It's also possible that the first would be vaginal, and the 2nd would be c section. That would be the worst possible scenario, in my opinion. I guess I'm glad I have 8 weeks to think about it ...
QOTW: I'm not a sportsy person but dh is more of a baseball guy. Luckily, his team is out of the running for the world series and soon it will all come to close! (He yells at the tv a lot)

@hopeby2015 with my twins one was breech and one was head down. They were both head down at 36 weeks then B flipped back to breech at 37 weeks. I was hoping for a vaginal but like you absolutely did not want a double whammy. So we ended up with an elective c-section. There is some pain but it really isn't that bad. They should have you on good pain control in the hospital and send you home with plenty of meds. The key is just staying on top of your meds, even if you feel good. feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.
@LeFemmeViolette my hands swelled with the twins and with this pregnancy. I did not have foot swelling till after my c-section but I know plenty of moms who have had swollen feet during their pregnancies. you are not alone.

TTC for 8 years.
Started in 2008 with timed intercourse, ovulation testing, no official monitoring.
OB-GYN recommended Clomid and timed intercourse, attempted for 6 straight months.
First surgery June 2009 (OB-GYN): diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and large hydrosalpinx on right tube.
Second surgery (July 2009, RE performed this): Right tube had to be removed, lots of adhesions removed.
Attempted "trying on our own" as per RE recommendations, unsuccessful 5-6 months.
HSG performed December 2009: left tube open.
February 2010: started Femara and timed intercourse, attempted 6 months, no BFPs.
Took a break for a while.
January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI.
Took 2012-2014 off due to depression and frustration (side note: did complete grad school to become a nurse practitioner- great distraction).
2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF.
September 2015: Started first official IVF cycle, cancelled in October due to large cyst on left ovary.
October 2015: started on birth control for 2 months.
December 2015: attempted to start another IVF cycle, cysts on both ovaries on initial ultrasound, left was huge, cancelled to aspirated cyst.
January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed.
March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again.
April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted.
May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity.
Sept-Oct 2016: Attempted fourth IVF cycle, very successful, cyst still on left but we ignored. 7 mature "great looking" eggs retrieved, 4 mature embryos made it to day 5 transfer. Transfer aborted due to large amount of endometriosis fluid in uterus.
FET of 2 embryos completed on 12/12/16.

Also, went in for a dental appt today and mentioned i was having jaw pain to which they said: "Yeah, that can happen in pregnancy due to swelling." Lol. So yeah, water retention seems to be something my body is getting reeeeally good at.

Doctor-wise, had a horror show of a 3 hour glucose test this week. First off, walked back to get the first draw, there's an open cup of urine from someone's drug test just sitting out on the table, which had me gagging (if I'd had time to reschedule, I would've, but I have no other available dates). Then the guy spent 10 minutes digging through my arm with the needle, flatly refusing to go in through my hand like I asked after the second try, and did that for every draw, then I passed out after the one-hour draw. So yeah, raging disaster lol. It really does baffle me that that's the best test we can come up with for GD, putting our bodies through that kind of shock treatment. Checkup on Friday, so hopefully at least the results come back clean.
@LeFemmeViolette I am definitely swollen, and it gets worse with heat and humidity (one of the reasons I'm looking forward to fall). I usually wear my engagement ring and wedding band as a set, but they won't both fit my finger at the same time anymore, and sometimes even one at at time won't fit or will hurt if it's really hot out. And my feet, forget it. I have sausage toes, lol. We've had a break lately from the heat and humidity here, and it's been amazing, but today is humid again and I can already feel my hands swelling.
QOTW: We don't really follow sports. DH plays fantasy football, but not seriously. We'll go to games once in a while because we like the stadium experience, but I usually skip football games because I hate being out in the cold.

I'm off the the hospital in a few hours. Today has certainly been an emotional rollercoaster. @latershrader So excited for you to meet your little one! Best wishes to you for a safe and speedy delivery!
@omarismyhomeboy I'll be rooting for you tomorrow.
@ChocolateIsLife Thinking of you throughout this Harvey crap and hoping you and your family stay safe.
AFM, 36+2 with my little girl. Feeling OK but starting to get uncomfortable. The pressure down there is periodically pretty intense. Had an OB Appt and ultrasound and everything looks good. The estimate was her weighing in at 6 lbs 3 oz (64th percentile), and we confirmed she's head down. Unfortunately her favorite spot is with her butt is jammed right into my ribcage, so that gets rough and squashes my stomach and diaphragm.
QOTW: I'm a diehard Colts fan. DH didn't really have an NFL allegiance when I met him, but I converted him quickly.
Bonus: thought you all might get a kick out of my little angel flipping off the camera during Wednesday's ultrasound. Looks like she takes after her momma already....
