Honestly I am wondering if there is some misunderstanding here. I don't think anyone has said you can/should only post about the "assigned" topics. If you have a discussion to start that is not covered elsewhere, people can and do start new discussions without getting flamed by the board. And I'm geussing that a good number of questions (on the weekly questions thread) could become their own thread if they're not already covered ad nauseum elsewhere. But ZOMG nausea and hey y'all I had an ultrasound? Other threads have definitely got those bad boys covered.

There's a thread about telling other kids and some people posted about how it shouldn't be it's own thread, then about how it should be renamed to be more general. It just seemed a bit much to be, but that thread did stick around.

@irenejean ah ok, I haven't even read that one because I am not anywhere close to ready to tell my kids, but that does seem like a good topic for its own thread to me too.

Now because the oil refineries in Houston had to be shut down, everyone in our area is freaking out about the gas stations.  We have a lot running out of gas and the lines are super long.  It doesn't take much to make people panic.

@julzy @sapphires-and-diamonds   I still have 2 pregnancy tests from my son in my underwear drawer.  He just turned 4 2 weeks ago, haha.  I currently have like 5 still in the bathroom from this one, lol  :o

I have two on the ledge in my bathroom! I like looking at them for some reassurance.  :)

@JJMNO1616  me too  ETA: weird. My comment got cut off.   Basically I said its a reminder from baby saying "I'm here!" so we it doesn't feel real yet  :)

That thread started out by asking, "How should *I* tell *my* kid."  It was eventually changed to talk about generally telling other kids.
