@orbmaker I feel you on getting all the peaks in you can!  I've already had 3 ultrasounds lol

    1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 9 - size of a pecan!

    2. How are you feeling? Less sick this week.  I'm nervous that I'm getting lulled into a false belief that the worst of MS is over and maybe next week it will be back with a vengeance.

    3. Any appointments next week? Nope.  Which is sort of a first for me.  Now that I'm with an OB instead of an RE I'm not so heavily monitored.  It's nice (cheaper, less time spent at offices), but I'm also bummed that I wont get another US for a long time.

    4. Rants, raves, questions? Just happy that today is Friday.  I really, really appreciate relaxing on the weekends.

    5. GTKY- What was your first job? First government taxes official sort of job was working for Michael's.  I loved getting art supplies for discount.

    9 weeks - a grape, an olive
    2. How are you feeling?
I'm a broken record. Still nauseous (with windows of reprieve). But now I have this strong gag reflex that's caused some unannounced dry heaving.
    3. Any appointments next week?
Nope - nothing until 12 weeks now.
    4. Rants, raves, questions?
I want coffee!!! My stomach has churned at the thought since I got my BFP.
    5. GTKY- What was your first job?
I picked berries on a small farm at 14 years old. These sweet old people would hire young teens and we mostly ate them and threw bad ones at each other. I feel horrible now but it was so fun at the time.

    1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
    13 weeks... a lemon.

    2. How are you feeling?
Today, for the first time in a week I don't feel like crap which is really nice actually. I think I had some kind of summer cold coupled with throwing up 3-4 times a day since last Friday. I still have no solution for this headache but I'll take the good day with a headache.

    3. Any appointments next week?
My next appointment is the 31st. Nothing too exciting though. We will see if they do another ultrasound or try the Doppler.

    4. Rants, raves, questions?
Today is the last day of MH's big training deal at work for the year. So I survive one more 12 hour day with a toddler and things go back to normal until he has to travel for work or something.
Anyone have any ideas for entertaining an energetic 2 year old inside when it's 100'+ outside? I'm running out of ideas and a bored 2 year old is a recipe for disaster.

    5. GTKY- What was your first job?
Besides babysitting?? I worked at American Eagle forever. Haha. But I had some great, cheap clothes.

@orbmaker I am doing the NIPT because my doctor told me that he considers it significantly more accurate than the NT/blood test. I would rather be prepared.

@antoto I love Fridays. And hate Mondays. I know you teach art, but do you still do art for yourself??

@StephBrim24 I know the feeling. I love coffee and it has been a really long 10 weeks since I got my BFP and figured out why I didn't want coffee.

@riansmommie yay for lessening symptoms! Every little bit helps!

@megpeg my dad was a farmer so I think that's a pretty cool first job.

@amberunwin Give me all the carbs--cheeseburgers, pizza and tacos are on the list today. Haha. But if there are veggies on any of those then it's healthy right?

@mdfarmchick I do randomly, but not consistently or often.  Probably a pretty common occurrence when you join your passion with work.  That passion starts to feel like work.

@antoto I majored in art in college but haven't finished my degree yet. So I still get ridiculously happy when I get to play with anything art related. Eventually I want to finish my degree in Graphic Design and photography.

@crossfitbabybump coffee unless, like me, you have an aversion to it. Otherwise my doctor gave me a list of preapproved things to take and I'm pretty sure milk of magnesia was on there. You can also try Metamucil. I tried that when I was PP last time and it and I don't get along but it might work for you. I had a lot of trouble getting it down.

@mdfarmchick - thank you! Coffee has been an aversion for me which sucks because I miss it so much but it makes me still want to puke :(

I am going to try fiber one bars again. if not, maybe Metamucil!

@crossfitbabybump do you still work for PNC?  That's where I work! :)

  • Options

@LaurenAnn0405 - Unfortunately no, I moved to Minnesota and there aren't any out here :(

BUT.. my husband and I's long term goal is to move back to Indiana and I would definitely apply for PNC again! :)

  • Options
@crossfitbabybump I've worked here for 7 years, ever since I graduated (I did an extra 2.5 years of college because I changed my major the last semester of my senior year, not my smartest choice) and I've really liked it for the most part.  I work in a branch so of course we get our share of rude/annoying people but in general its been good.  They actually just updated their FMLA policy and now we get 16 paid weeks off!  I think coming back is a good goal :)
  • Options

@LaurenAnn0405 - HOLY CRAP! 16 weeks!? Do you mind me asking at what paid percent? The bank I work for now does 6 weeks @ 70% but I legally get 12 weeks, the rest I would have to use PTO or no pay at all.

What do you do at your branch? I was a teller at mine but now I work in the Operations Department and am the fraud specialist so when we move back, I'd like to do something in that field, or their accounting department! :)

@orbmaker, I worked at a record store during college.  It was the absolute most fun job ever.  I have so many awesome memories!

    1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby?  I'm late posting, but I'm due 3/30 and so I  am 9+5 I think, today.  I just had my first appointment last week and finally have a due date!!!

    2. How are you feeling? Like poop.  Still a lot of nausea, plus a wicked cough/cold hat won't go away.

    3. Any appointments next week? Just had one Thursday!  I had an ulstrasound and did all the bloodwork.  I also just took the Panorama test and am awaiting results.

    4. Rants, raves, questions?  I've been straddling both the Match and April groups all this time because I didn't know my official due date but knew it was somewhere on the cusp.  I'm not sure where to call home.  Hopefully it's okeydokey for me to hang.

    5. GTKY- What was your first job?  I was a grocery store checker in high school.  I loved that job! All my friends worked there.

@crossfitbabybump it's 16 weeks at 100% - just last year they upgraded the parental leave policy and now moms and dads both get 6 weeks of "bonding time" that can be taken any time in full week increments throughout the child's first year.  The policy used to be (for mom's at least) 6 weeks paid, up to 7 more weeks unpaid, one of the 7 weeks could be substituted in with the 1 week "bonding time" so you'd essentially get 7 paid weeks and 6 unpaid weeks.  Now along with the 6 weeks of bonding time they upped the paid week amount from 6 weeks to 10 and then the additional 6 on top of that.  I had my last baby in 2015 and they updated that in 2016 so I was a little salty about that but now it's all good.

I started out as a teller, then I became teller supervisor, and now I'm a universal banker which basically means I can work on either the platform side or the teller side.  I saw from your other TW post that you're in Reg E so I can understand how you're a fraud specialist!  I've never worked anywhere but in retail but I hear some back office positions allow you to work from home so that might be something I look into... :)
