MBF- DH wrecked his work vehicle Friday and they are removing him from his CDL driver position. We just spent so much money earlier this year for him to get his CDL license, now he won't even be using it for his job. Plus he is going to have to take a pay cut that we can't afford.
Magnificent- DH is ok even though he wrecked pretty badly. The fact that he is getting to keep any position there just to keep this job (carries my insurance now!) is pretty amazing.

I am miserable. My sore throat is pretty much gone but the congestion and runny nose and sneezing and fatigue that replaced it are brutal.
Buuut magnificent is that DH made dinner last night because I'm sick (we usually do more elaborate dinners on Sundays and initially I was going to help). Also, when DH cooks, particularly more elaborate meals, he makes a huuuuge mess (which he generally leaves). And getting him to do dishes is like pulling teeth. But last night, at like 8:30 at night, he washed allll the dinner dishes plus all the other dishes in the sink. (He's also notorious for promising to do the dishes, waiting until it's late, and then saying, "I'll do them tomorrow.") So basically this was a miracle.

@ktcakes87 that happened to my DH too but he lost his job completely. It sucks. So sorry.
MBF: my almost 4 year has been waking up multiple times a night...whyyyy
magnificient: during his 4 am wake up when I was about to lose my cool, he gave me a big hug and kiss and said I love you mommy and rolled over and went back to sleep. He's been forgiven.
@breezybee oh love the gif! DH and I are big horror movie fans.
This ties into my Magnificent Monday which is that I just bought tickets to an always-sells-out, only-happens-every-few-years event where a small group of people are allowed to tour the camp where they filmed all the "Friday the 13th" movies. The grounds are off-limits otherwise. I knew tix were going on sale this week but no one knew which day or what time, so all I could do was stalk my email and hope I was lucky enough to get in there before it sold out. I am soooo relieved that I managed to get tickets, and that we're officially going! It's perfect timing before baby and everything, and I'm just so happy right now.
Monday BF though is that I was similarly stalking a glider I love on Babies R Us which has been out of stock. It came back in stock recently and is on sale -- so I went to purchase this morning and got through all the payment process pages, but when I hit "complete purchase," instead of getting a confirmation I received a message saying the glider was now out of stock. WTF?
@ktcakes87 sory about your husband's accident. At least he's ok, that's the most important thing!
My husband has been checked for sleep apnea. He doesn't have it. He just went out this weekend and drank whiskey and smoked hella cigarettes while watching the fight Saturday night and it's going to be messing up his throat all week now. He's been sentenced to a week of couchbed surfing until it clears up. And then he complains about it. Uuummm...sorry bro, your 6 month pregnant with twins wife is not going to sleep on a fucking couchbed because you decided to smoke hella cigs this weekend. Nice try, buddy.
@MJDsquared I hope you're feeling better soon! Your husband and my husband sound like the same person in regards to dishes/chores in general. "I'll do it later" is his favorite phrase. "Later" generally turns into tomorrow.
@ktcakes87 I'm glad your husband is Okay. Hoping the new position works for your family.
My MBF is that our internet has been out all day and it's rainy so I'm bored. I know this is a first world problem and all, but we recently gave up cable so without internet I can't watch tv. I've basically burned through our entire data plan using my phone all morning. Oops.
Magnificent: we were on vacation part of last week and my husband had the whole week off. Those two things combined made for some bad eating habits and laziness over the last week or so. It feels good to get back into a routine today with him back to work and me back to cooking mostly healthy food. Also he helped clean the house yesterday and I love a clean house!!
@ktcakes87 I am so sorry about DH's accident. Accidents in work vehicles are terrifying. I'm so glad they're working with him to keep his job, but I am sorry about the pay cut.
@MJDsquared Sorry you're feeling sick, but YAY for DH helping out!
@Kaylawing My H is very similar in the "I'll do it later" mantra, except sometimes it becomes "you'll do it later..."
My MBF is Hurricane/Tropical Storm/all Around A Hole Harvey has made a mess of my state. (Magnificent Monday is I live in Dallas, four hours away, and my family who live in the area are all safe.) My sister's apartment has power and working water, but has been cut off from everything else because the only road in or out is completely flooded. My aunt's house, where several other family members went to escape the storm, actually took on about an inch of water yesterday. Everyone is OK, and they have a second story to go to, but it's just such a nightmare. Watching the images on the screen and knowing my family is down there is just a lot to take in. The worst is that while I'd love to go assist in the rescue efforts, I can't because of the pregnancy. It just hurts to be unable to help.

My MBF is that it took me SIX HOURS yesterday to compile names and addresses and emails for my baby showers. Apparently everyone I know has moved since my wedding several years ago, how dare they?
Magnificent: I had a bunch of errands to run at Target/Wally World yesterday and the aforementioned task of the baby shower lists made that not possible... which might have been a MBF except... I realized last night that it was the day before schools here started! Those stores would have been a madhouse! I'm calling that divine intervention for sparing my hormonal self from the chaos that is angry mobs fighting over graphing calculators. Praise!
@elcd458 My step-mom decided to send evites for the baby shower, because it was "just easier"... which means I now do not have snail mail addresses for everyone for thank you cards. Future you will thank you for organizing addresses now! Future me is already slightly miffed at having to try and pull them together when I get my thank you cards done sometime this fall.
@kyrwyn Buy the thank you cards before the shower and hand everyone at the party a blank envelope. They fill out their name and address and put them in a hat for a raffle. Easy game to play and then you have to address exactly zero thank you cards!!!
I worked all day today and then have to go back tonight because I couldn't find anyone to cover the nursery for tonight's meeting, so guess it's me. Sometimes being the organizer is a real bitch.
@kyrwyn I've been to a baby shower where they provided a basket of blank envelopes at the entrance of the baby shower (the seating assignment table I think) and asked each guest to fill out their address on an envelope. It had a cute sign with it- sample that I found on pinterest in spoiler.
Bitchfest- sitting at dinner with a friend and her other friend shows up and she is my age and has none of her life together despite having a daughter. All she is doing is complaining about having her and her love life even tho she has no job no license and barley has a spot to stay. I give advice but just gets me that she complains about having her daughter when ive had losses and struggling to get this one out alive.
Magnificently my daughter finally moved out of my pelvis so she is no longer kicking me in my cervix causing pinching pain in my vag area and i have a doctors appointment Tuesday since mynkidney issues showed back up lol. Had a fabulous weekend as well :-)
My bitchfest is simply titled "Monday...". Lots of silly things happened today but the best of all was that I had an OB appointment, and I spilled my full urine sample cup allllll over (the toilet, the floor, my underwear). So I spent probably 5minutes 1) cleaning up the mess 2) trying to squeeze another sample of urine out 3) trying to figure out what to do with my drenched underwear.
So I threw my underwear away, now I'm underwear-less in a dress. Try to explain this to the OB when she wants to lift your dress up for the heartbeat sonogram. Hilarious... Can't wait for tomorrow.
Magnificent Monday: someone was selling cupcakes at work and I didn't have any money and a coworker insisted on buying one "for the baby". The baby did not argue with this logic!
Magnificent Monday for me because I got free lunch bc it is my birthday week and bc my co-worker told me the ladies in my dept want to have a little luncheon for me to celebrate the baby. So sweet!

Magnificent: Everything looked great at today's fetal echo. Big sigh of relief. And they rechecked the ventricle sizes, and he's still normal. Bigger sigh of relief.
MBF: My extended family is so full of (totally unnecessary and spurious-claims-ish) drama right now -- of the too triggery and too awful to discuss on internet forums type -- and I am freaking exhausted from trying to be a responsible adult about things while also growing a tiny human. DH and I have decided I'm not taking calls from anyone with my maiden last name until at least Wednesday so I can get some space.
And MBF to round out the day: DD woke up over an hour and. Half ago and is having one of those nights where she will calm down if we hold her or are in the room with her but starts screaming if we leave. Last time this happened I camped out on her floor for a couple hours til she fell asleep and I could sneak out. Mama needs sleep!

@txmomma16 I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm so sorry your family is dealing with this awful awful storm. The pictures are just devastating. I am glad that everyone's ok, though, and I'll be sending good thoughts that they stay that way. Hugs lady.
@breezybee Thank you. I'm grateful that my family are all safe, and just crossing my fingers that the second landfall/deluge doesn't do any additional damage.
