I've never started a thread before but I'm dying to chat about the finale and didn't see one started yet.
How would you rate rate this episode? 7/8. I liked it. A lot of things that we already knew were finally revealed.
Fav moment? Sansa/arya killing Littlefinger. I liked seeing the man basically responsible for everything, beg and realize it was all over. Sansa redeemed herself slightly, though yes girl you are a slow learner. I also loved Jamie finally walking away from cersei. I hate Theon but at least he finally did one thing right.
Least fav moment? The whole meeting with cersei. It felt weird to me that Sam had to tell Bran about Rhaegar and Lyanna's marrying, like "hey go watch that."
Who won the week? I'd have to say the Night King and the ice dragon, that wall came tumbling down.
Who lost the week? Littlefinger. Tyrion because he was conned by Cersei.
How would you rate the season? 7
Predictions for next season? Dani is pregnant. Jon finds out his real parentage. Jamie and Cersei both die.
Questions/Comments I am still looking forward to Jon and Arya reunion but think it may be overshadowed by everything else. Who else here believes Tyrion is a Targaryan?
Least fav moment? The meeting with Cersie, i knew nothing good would come from it.
Who won the week? Arya and Sansa
Who lost the week? Little Finger
How would you rate the season? Lame! I'm so disappointed by how rushed everything in this season was. It really missed the details that the other seasons had. It kind of just seems like they are rushing to finish the show. One of my friends thinks it's because of how expensive the show is to make that they are hurrying it along.
What was your least fav thing about the season? Everything I just mentioned above and I hate John and Dani together! Gross!
Predictions for next season? I agree with @allen4tl that dani will be pregnant and John will find out the relation.
Questions/comments. @allen4tl I think that's an interesting theroy about Tyrion but I don't know if I believe that.
Fav moment? Arya/Sansa getting the best of Littlefinger.
Least fav moment? Meeting with Cersei... except with the Wight snapped at her face.
Who won the week? Arya/Sansa. Night King and Dragon.
Who lost the week? Littlefinger.
How would you rate the season? 7/8
What was your least fav thing about the season? That it was so short! I want more! Everything felt really rushed and you don't get as much of the character development as the previous seasons. I feel like it's they aren't quite sure of the details anymore since they don't have the books.
Predictions for next season? Dani is pregnant. Jon finds out the truth of his parentage. Cersie/Jamie die. (I think Jamie will kill her Cersie)
@JJMNO1616 I believe the theory about Tyrion as there is a ton of hints however the show hasn't done anything with that storyline so I don't think it will come out in the show. Unless Bran suddenly has a vision of Joanna Lannister being with Aerys Targaryan (either willingly or forced) and is able to tell all this. I do hope they do it. They did show him able to touch the dragons before without being torched so maybe!
Fav moment? Watching Littlefinger beg was awesome and then Arya just walking up and cutting his neck. I also liked how Tyrion sort of stands up to Cersie in her chamber when they talked alone. It was pretty cool to see both him and Jamie stand up to her. I think Cersie finally lost Jamie as an alley.
Least fav moment? The meeting about the army of the dead
Who won the week? Arya and Sansa, and the Night King
Who lost the week? The Wall, Littlefinger(but that is a lost I very much enjoyed)
How would you rate the season? 7
What was your least fav thing about the season? with some of the bouncing around it seemed like details were lost
Predictions for next season? Jamie is going to kill Cersie, so he can help with the fighting for the army of the dead. Jon will find out his true parentage
@allen4tl Based on the three headed dragon prophecy, the hints about Tywin's wife in the books and the fact that Tyrion could interact with a dragon and not get burnt, I definitely think he's a Targaryean. However, I think they need to do a lot to build that case in a very short time so it doesn't seem completely out of left field in the last season.
@JJMNO1616 TOTALLY agree with this season feeling rushed and lacking in detail. (I rant about my problems with this season a bit below.) How would you rate this episode? 6/8
Fav moment? Bye Littlefinger! And so glad to see that Arya's not a total psycho after all.
Least fav moment? Like others, the whole meeting about the great war thing. I just cannot get over the stupidity that ANYONE, much less Tyrion and Jamie, would think that Cersei would give one single shit about some great common cause, even such a terrifying one.
Who won the week? I'm gonna be an oddball and say Sansa.
Who lost the week? Littlefinger, all the villages in the far north that are about to be white walker-ed.
How would you rate the season? This is my least favorite season so far, unfortunately. All of the big moments are there and great, but I feel like they have gotten rid of the subtlety, character development, dialogue and the spirit of the preceding seasons. Just overall, I feel like you can REALLY tell that they're ahead of the books. These showrunners do a fantastic job of distilling the books down to their essence, in terms of plot points and moments, but without the books as a detailed map to guide them, they're just making it seem like fan fiction crossed with an action movie to me. It's fun, but just not the same.
What was your least fav thing about the season? The whole freaking idiotic trip to the North to steal a white walker and convince Cersei to take up arms with them. I cannot get over what a stupid risk that was, how impossible the mission was (How you gonna pick off one white walker out of a zombie horde without anyone noticing? How you gonna do that with like, 8 people?) and how it was and is completely against Cersei's character to care about this at all anyway! Because of that dumb trip, a dragon died, came back as a zombie/the biggest tool in the Night King's army, the wall is toast, and millions will die. Just because they hoped that Cersei would join their team! So dumb!
I also still think the chemistry between Jon and Dany has been lacking (it's slightly better now, but just no sparks, I swear.)
I am a big ol' complainer this season! Sorry!
Predictions for next season? Either Jon, Dany or both will die in the great war, though perhaps one, or both of them, will be resurrected by the Melisandre. Jamie kills Cersei.
Questions/comments Oh, I think it's so weird that Bran didn't already know about the wedding. Mr. Three Eyed Raven needs Samwell Tarly (well, Gilly, actually) to find some random diary entry? Doesn't he know and see all? After knowing that Jon's parentage was Lyanna and Rheagar, he wouldn't have hunted around in their past himself, vision wise?
God, I am just full of rants and annoying questions, sorry!
