I bought a boba for $10 off another mom for the first few months. But considering an ergo baby an ergo baby. A mom in our local facebook group posted this Excellent barely used carrier that is an Ergo original with infant insert for $60. It retails for $143 normally. Debating if I should get it.
I got the ktan as well and an infantino 4 in 1 structured carrier. Figured I'd wrap baby at least at the beginning and DH can use the other carrier and when he gets bigger the infantino will still work
I got an ergo for DH during prime days and the infant insert today at once upon a child. I also have a Moby wrap. I want a lillrbaby or tula for mysrlf.
@lancomechica2 we are planning on getting one. We shopped and tried in several options. My husband is 6'5" and this is the only structured carrier that fit him. It also is nice that it doesn't need an infant insert, just the same one for all 6 types of carrying. We are going with the air flow which has mesh panels to help keep cool since we live in Arizona

I have a K'tan and a Moby. I love the ease of the K'tan, but my sister-in-law passed along her Moby to me and she really liked it so I figured I'll try that out too.
It all depends on the age. My 1st loved hanging out in the boba wrap when he was tiny. H also used it. It is super easy to learn to tie. I just bought a ring sling for this time around. So I had more options since I assume I will have to nurse in the carrier while chasing big bro. I have a woven wrap too, but I don't use it that often.
The ergo 360 is well worth the price for the post 15-20 lbs days. My O14 baby is super active and was still letting me wear him on my back when I got pregnant with #2. I had a cheaper buckle carrier that hurt my back. The ergo was a great upgrade.
Check out out your local Baby Wearing International group if you really want to try out carriers.
I've only used a boba(same as a moby) and a ring sling. I african carry as well on my back. Both DDs loved all the options but I don't use the ring sling until the babies are over 6-9mon. I exclusively used the boba until then. I would even walk 3 miles a day with it on though it was hot with my summer baby.
I want a kinderpack next summer for summer hikes once the baby is older too.
I had a Moby with DD that I never used. I ended up borrowing a Baby Bjorn from a friend. I still didn't use it that much but it did come in handy for traveling. I think I will wear baby a lot more this time around so I bought a Lillebaby and I'm so excited to try it out!
I will add a lot of baby wearing is kiddo specific. Some kids love to be held so wearing is needed, while others let you put them down. I personally always wore #1 when we were out and about until he was about 2. That was his preferred way to travel. For my second it will be forced. #1 is to active to do anything else.
We have a two Tulas that I still use for my two year old. I bought a woven wrap for this time around to start until s/he is big enough for the tula and went to a BWI meeting to learn some carries. We started with an infantino and it was okay when she was small but once she got bigger it strained my back. The tula is a dream, I feel no weight!
MaximumEffort The lillebaby essentials just dropped to $58.50 (orig. $89) if you are considering that version. It's that price on Amazon and their website.
@dragonfly87-2 they 6 in 1 is also on sale. I really wanted the mist and donuts one but only the one with all donuts is on sale. Idk if I can do that with a boy.
Check out local babywearing groups if they are available to you! I had a ktan and ergo when my son was born, the ktan was okay but the ergo hurt my hips and didn't really work for us. At my local group I was able to try(also rent for two weeks!) different carriers!! So helpful to be able to try them for longer periods and get help with adjusting and sizing. I ended up learning that woven wraps work better for me(went on to become a teacher and local group leader!) so that's what I have this time around.
