  I have had a long rough week ( pushed myself too hard ) so yesterday DH took DD when I got home out of the house for 3 hrs and I got to lay in bed and relax! It was awesome

  DH took a day off work yesterday just because, and it was amazing. The 3 of us spent the whole day together and I feel like I got some sanity back.

  We're getting new carpet today!  Our 12 year old cheap builder grade carpet that has been peed on by at least 6 dogs (I used to rent out rooms to roommates who had dogs and no concept of taking care of them in some cases) is finally GOING AWAY and the back bedroom will no longer have a musty urine smell when it gets humid.  YYYYAAAASSSSSS.

  I am super thankful for a wonderful date night with the FI last night.  We had a great dinner out and then I FINALLY got him talked into seeing my hair stylist for a hair appointment.  He is obsessed with his new haircut, very a la Conor McGregor, and I couldn't be happier.  I am also thankful that I have a fantastic job and was able to treat him to both dinner and his haircut.

  I am thankful that I have the time to take off for the next week and that my in-laws don't mind if we bring our dogs along so we don't have to board them for a week.
  
  I'm thankful for doggy day care so that the pups can get nice and tired out today so that they'll just sleep on our 15 hour drive tomorrow.
  
  I'm thankful for local friends willing to feed and clean up after our cats for the week while we're gone.
  
  And I'm super thankful that vacation is finally here.

  auntieraindrop if I could convince DH to put hardwood in the bedrooms I would do it in a heart beat!  So much easier to clean and keep clean etc.  He usually doesn't care one bit about what I do to the house but this issue is apparently dear to his heart lol!  So we are keeping carpet in the bedrooms....I won on the rest of the house, its all hardwood or tile except the bedrooms!

  I'm so thankful for all the work my brother has put into my house while he's been here visiting, and how much time he's spent with my kids.
  
  I'm grateful for my husbands good job and the fact that the trial that was supposed to be happening in January looks like it's going to go away. (Because that wouldn't have been nightmarish timing)
  
  I'm thankful for my kiddos, who are in rare form today, but are so awesome still and get along well with other kids.
  
  I'm thankful for past me for doing so much batch cooking yesterday that now I get to just eat/enjoy today!

  I'm so thankful that one of our friends sold us their old car and only asked for the dealer trade in price. We now have a safe and reliable, if older, second car. Hubby was driving a 1999 Saturn that was literally falling apart, and I did not consider it safe for baby. Now we both have safe cars, and we didn't have to spend a fortune.

  Thankful that my work put us all up in a nice hotel for our annual party last night. No drunk drivers! Which is good, because apparently like 5 of our VPs/SVPs got into a BAR FIGHT at the after party. Cracks me up lol.

  I am thankful for my DH.  He just told me about how hard he has been working to reach some of our family goals.  
  
  I am thankful for my family.  My mom and dad have already done so much for me and baby. I also got a chance to see extended family at a shower last weekend.  Everyone got baby girl such thoughtful gifts!  I miss them everyday!

  This Friday I'm thankful the week has passed. This was a nightmare week and our gender reveal is this weekend, so I'm thankful to finally be home and cleaning!!

  My best friend from college is in town! She had a random work trip here and is staying the weekend. I'm so thankful for this time we get to have together. Seeing her with DS is the sweetest thing. He is obsessed with her. 
  Also thankful that she will be here and safe away from the hurricane. She and her DH currently reside in Houston.

  I'm grateful to be home after 5 days away from my DH and DS. I missed them so much. Also grateful that my AS is in less than a week. It's such an exciting time.
