    Good luck with everything @Sugargirl1019! I'll be thinking of you and your little one and hoping all goes well. Can't wait to see pictures once she arrives!

    A word of advice on the penicillin - it burns as it's going in - sometimes just at the IV site and sometimes further up your arm. Some of the nurses I had gave me a little warming pack to put at the IV site and that helped. I had it every 4 hours from the time I got to the hospital until I delivered and sometimes the burning wasn't that bothersome and sometimes it was. I think it depended on how quickly it was flowing in. It seems like a warm pack wouldn't be what you wanted for something that burns, but it did help!

    My growth scan is Thursday! I am excited and nervous. 

    Any concerns/news currently?
    It is getting hard to do every day stuff. But no majors concerns. Hoping for good news Thursday. My year anniversary at work is the 6th and baby needs to stay put until then to get my full maternity leave.


    GTKY: Do you have any siblings? Tell me about them!
    I have 1 brother who is 7 yrs older than me. We used to be super close but grew apart after we both got married. He taught me a lot growing up. He has two sons. One will be 16 next month ahhh and the other is the same age as DS and they love spending time together. It is awesome seeing them be so close.

    Congenital heart defect

    Any additional monitoring or testing this week?
    Echocardiogram on Thursday to verify that my heart can handle labor. OB appointment Friday. 

    Any concerns/news currently?
    Just a lot of exhaustion and discomfort. Nothing new. 

    Anything I can pray for you specifically about right now? 
    That the echo goes well and the cardiologist has no concerns moving forward.

    I have a brother. 3 1/2 years older than me. He is also an attorney. He currentky lives in Hawaii with his wife and kids. His wife is in the Navy so they move every few years.

    @Sugargirl1019 and @Rhubarb7216  I got Penicillin for group B strep, and the nurse told me they usually dilute it out over a larger amount of bags to cut down on the burning sensation.  I got mine full strength (too fast of labor to dilute it), but I was too busy noticing the pain in my crotch and back to notice the antibiotics, lol.  GL today @Sugargirl1019!

    Growth ultrasound this morning and baby is measuring perfectly!  Fluid and placenta look great and baby is probably as low as he or she can possibly get.  So I definitely have dropped.

    Any additional monitoring or testing this week? Ob, GD dr, Ultrasound, and NST

    Any concerns/news currently?     Hoping that the dr visit will give us some ideas of what the plan is if she is still breech and about his suggestion about delivering right around 39 weeks. They have been upping my Insulin every so often but so far not really a worry.

    My last one was at 28 weeks so awhile ago. The baby was a little over a week ahead then. I have been able to keep my gd in check for the most part and my weekly NST's have been good. I guess this one is a biophysical ultrasound which I've never had before. I am hoping baby is still happy and healthy in there and not too large!

    cchenal07 my ultrasound is Thursday too! I am 35 weeks today but last ultrasound was at 32 weeks. Our kiddo was only in the 29 percentile 3 lbs 15 oz (though her legs are in the 50 percentile so long legs compared to rest of body at this point). We weren't able to see her face last ultrasound either which was a bummer (she is breech and not cooperative).

    @Sugargirl1019 congratulations and welcome little Evelyn! You must be so happy she's here. Harrison also had elevated bilirubin and needed photo therapy. We had to stay in the hospital one extra day because of it, but he's fine now!

    An update for me: They sent my placenta to pathology after delivery to determine what caused my issues during pregnancy. I got the results yesterday and they found a blood clot at the maternal surface, which usually indicates abruption, so it looks like I really did have the abruption. I am going off reading the report in the online portal, so I'll probably know a little more when I see my OB for my post partum appt. I find it satisfying to finally actually know what the problem was. @Breath_Easy92 did they also send your placenta to pathology?
