Hi everyone,

Glad that I have found this board! The support that I have read so far is very encouraging. Hearing all the different stories of people in similar situations makes this a little easier to go through.

My DH & I both just turned 35 & have been married now for three & half years. We have two fur babies (cat & dog). And trying to add a human one!

After two years of NTNP, we decided to step it up and started TTC when that didn't work we sought out our RE for help. After the second IUI I was PG, but it ended up being an ectopic PG and had to use medical treatment (two injections of methotrexate) UGH!!!!. Followed by lots of bleeding & weekly blood test to make sure my HCG levels went back to 0. However, was very lucky to not have to have surgery.

When the 3 month waiting period ended (so meds can leave your system) my DH & I decided to try the combination IUI route one more time. But with no success. Following more consultation with our RE, a HSG test & deep conversations we decided our best option was IVF which we started on August 8th (my birthday)!!

Currently Day #10: Major headache & a little nausea from shots (GONAL-F & Menopur) with an U/S tomorrow. Hope to get a date for Egg retrieval!

Well, that's my story for now! Any pointers on what's to expect or things to prepare for would be great!!! A little nervous about the retrieval process and what happens after that. But one step at a time, right?

nmariescontrino sorry for your previous loss, thats scary but glad you didn't have to have an surgery. How to your US going? How many follies to you have growing and what size? Probably once you get to a lil larger follie they will add cetritide to your protocol. Hopefully you're getting closer to an ER. Some people stem longer the others and every cycle is different. I've done a few and some I've stemmed longer then others. Happy birthday, hopefully this will be a great birthday present!

Welcome and sorry for your loss! I hope IVF is successful for you! It is much more intense but hopefully will yield greater results!

Hi! I am also in the middle of my first IVF cycle. We started the cycle last Saturday..today is Saturday and my 8th day of stims. My doctor said I am responding very well and fast to the medicine. I have 19 follicles, the largest is 22mm...estrogen is 2,000. I may be triggering tomorrow night (Sunday) with ER being Tuesday ! I know most IVF cycles do not go this fast at all ..so I am happy that I responded so fast and all is going so well. I just hope I finish the cycle with good news

Thanks for the replies!

So stims are going slower than they usually do, but follies are growing. I had an U/S this am and looks like they are ranging from 8-15ish; 6 right side & 8 on left side. I don't know what estrogen level I am at. But she said the lining looks great and smooth. Left side looking more promising as far as size goes.
She changed my stims to IM and drew two large circles on my bum! lol (225 Gonal-F & 225 Menopur) & tomorrow IM stim (300 Gonal-F & 225 Menopur & first 250 Ganerellix)
Next U/S is Monday.
