Constipated

I am 7 weeks pregnant and had laprocopy surgery last Friday on an ovary. Has anyone else been so constipated that it over powered the pregnancy symptoms? Stool softner aren't working right now

    HI @knottiebc8019a501eb4f31 constipation is a common symptom of pregnancy. I have been experiencing constipation myself and my doctor recommended Miralax and Colace. I'm not sure what you mean by over powered the pregnancy stmptoms? If you aren't able to get any relief I would recommend calling your doctor. Also, just so you know in the future... we have a weekly thread for asking questions and we have a thread about symptoms. This post would have gone great in either of those threads. If you read the "read this first" thread at the top of the page it will explain the organization of the board. We try to discourage one off posts like this in effort to keep the board from getting too clusted.

    @knottiebc8019a501eb4f31 I would of course check with your doctor, but I took magnesium throughout my pregnancy, and I never had any constipation. As a bonus, it helps with muscle cramping too!
