July FET

Re: July FET

  • @rachel2107 ugh I can't wait!!! The estrace pills make me so sick on the morning! And the PIO is a pain in the @$! Lol literally!
  • Had my US today! Everything looked good. Our embie is measuring right at 6w3d which is right on track from when we transferred and had a heart rate of 122! What a releif! And there is only 1 in there- I think I would have freaked out a little if it had split!

I didn't have to do PIO at all, I'm just using estrogen patches and progesterone suppositories. My RE told me that I just stop them at 10 weeks, no taper or anything which seems kind of scary.

@cashewchicken - I'm laughing that you keep POAS to check- I have been too, and my DH keeps asking me to also. It is kind of reassuring and exciting to see every time! I hope your US goes well on Friday and you get to have some fun in Asia and not all work!

@Hopeful_mom - Yay for being done with your retrieval! I'm hoping those were golden eggs and you get some more normies out of this batch! Hope you're feeling better today!

@rachel2017 - Hope your OB appointment went well today!

  • Hey ladies,

So happy to see all the updates!
@hopeful_mom It really sucks that you are feeling so much worse with this ER, but 5 out of 6 is great!  Fingers crossed for a good number of pgs normal embies!!  Onward to FET!

@MMD1986 and @ slmurphy12 yay for good u/s!!  Hope that continues!!

AFM: I had my second u/s yesterday afternoon at 7w3d and we are measuring right on track! I got to hear a bit of the heartbeat and it was amazing, 160bpm.  I was so relieved because i thought something had gone wrong since I suddenly started feeling better last week and its continued, I just thought it was too good to be true, but here we are.  A little sad that it was my last appt with the specialist.  We will be back to my ob on 8/30.

As for the meds, I never had to take the PIO shots. I've been on estrace since AF at the end of June, then started the Crinone gel suppositories 6 days before the transfer.  Right now im still on both of those, estrace 2 pills 3x a day and crinone 2x a day.  The crinone is a bit of a hassle, but I'll take that over the shots anyday.  The doc told me I can stop both meds on 9/16, so one month left!  I'll be 12 weeks at that point.

It's been sooo hard trying to keep this from everyone! I just want to yell it out.  Luckily I was able to avoid my family and friends when I was feeling the worse, because I wouldn't have been able to hide it.  I know my mom is getting anxious to hear some kind of update, but she's doing her best not to pressure me.

  • Ugh....i didnt see that the comments had gone on to another page so I missed some of your comments when I commented!

@mtele congrats one your u/s!! Isn't it exciting?? I thought ours had split too because I had such high beta results!  Definitely relieved to see one little embie in there!  I'm also kind of nervous about just stopping all the meds, esp after he made a point to say "the progesterone is the most important thing, it basically supports the whole pregnancy."  Great, that makes me feel so much better about just stopping it!

  • @mtele I am so glad you had a great US. I know you must be relieved to get to this stage! I was also told to just stop at 10 weeks, no tapering or anything either so it must've pretty standard but I am also nervous about it! (Less than one week...)

@dreamcometrue2017 I had that same feeling with my last appointment, it's tough!

AFM, I had my first OB appointment yesterday and I definitely missed my RE office. The OB is nice but the way the office is run is just super busy and I felt like just another patient. I did consider looking for a different one but I don't think I will ever find one that made me feel like my RE did.
  • I am so happy to hear all the good stories but I wanted to ask, finally had my follow up with my RE after our failed cycle. He said the embies were normal and it's not due to that and my linning was good, so not that either, we talked about doing a non medicated cycle, but I wanted to know, anyone here currently prego or have gotten prego in the past with a non medicated cycle. He said it will reduce the hormones I know so only estrogen and progesterone to worry about and it's also good for our bank account. But want to know if it's successful. I have time to think it over while still waiting, but what do you guys think?
  • Thanks @dreamcometrue2017 and @rachel2017! It is definitely a relief, but I'm still kind of nervous. We haven't told anyone yet and I'm not really sure when we are going to.

@roadtobaby - I'm a little confused. In the non-medicated cycle would you take estrogen and progesterone? That's all I've been on. I had to wait 2 months after my last ER and wasn't on anything in between, but when AF came, I started estrogen patches on CD2 and then started crinone 5 days before transfer was planned.

  • @mtele We are planning on waiting until after our 12 week appt to make sure everything is going well. Im just so anxious about these next few weeks.  We're almost at 8 weeks, so this next month is going to be a long one.

@roadtobaby I'm not really sure about unmedicated cycles.  It was not even presented as an option to us as my hormones seemed to be the problem( at least the progesterone).  So i'm not sure how that would work.

  • @roadtobaby I have heard of the Natural FET cycle. My RE offered it to us, but since they couldn't find anything wrong with me and we were doing IVF for severe MFI she wanted me to do medicated bc she has better control of my lining. Can i ask what your RE means by poor lining? Is it too thin? IF that is the case i would think estrogen and progesterone would help make you lining nice and thick for the embie. But who knows im just going off what i hear! I know a couple girls at my clinic that did natural cycles and loved it.
  • @mtele yes that is the non medicated cycle, by medicated they mean BC on first day of your period then Lupron before then moving on to estrogen and progesterone to finish it off. Okay I am happy it worked for you.
  • @slmurphy12, @rachel2107- Thought I was done with PIO but maybe not!  The nurse told me to use PIO if I ever start bleeding during my trip. Let's hope not!

@mtele- Such high betas and only one embie? I swear I thought you had two in there!  But it must be a relief to find one- less risk for you and the baby.
Like your DH, it's my DH that keeps telling me to POAS.

Had my u/s appointment yesterday and got to see my bean's heart beat! Measuring right on track with heartbeat right in the ball park as well. We have our 8w2d appointment when I get back from my trip. So relieved and excited!

  • cashewchicken yay!!!  hearing that heartbeat is everything!!  SO exciting!!  Have a safe and successful trip i'll be happy when you get back!

roadtobaby I guess mine is considered a medicated cycle as well but my RE doesn't do BC for me, once AF arrives i will stare Estrace and continue that through.

@dreamcometrue2017 yay always love hearing great updates!  I know its scary to start to feel better BUT some people have great pregnancies feeling wonderful so no reason that can't happen for you!!  I'm stressing a bit still just hoping I didn't make the wrong decision doing another cycle.

@mtele-  congrats on a great US, i thought you might have 2 as well, but healthy is good and thats all we can ask for!  Can't wait for the follow up!

@slmurphy12, concerning the estrace makes you sick, do you have to take it in the morning?  I try to take everything at night as I get queazy with it all in the am.

@rachel2107- you really have graduated good for you!  I have to find a new OB as he doesn't do delivery so i'm stressed about that too!

AFM: Of course I miss the clinic call by like 20 min seriously!  At least one of the nurses was nice enough to give me the update.  So far I've got one frostie, praying tomorrow i will get more to join this party!!  ugh this process!  Its so hard not to stress. I had a better response to meds and yet I only have one day 5 which is the worst day 5 from all my cycles  s  I'm already worried I won't get any back this cycle and I went through so much just to do it!  You make so many decisions through this process and have to hope they're the right ones.

I had a crazy dream last night was pregnant 12 weeks with a baby that already had pigtails, wishful thinking shall we say  D

  • Hi Ladies!!  Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the end of the summer.

@hopeful_mom I hope you got some better news after your post!  You're dream is pretty funny. I've been having some strange dreams as well, mostly frustrating ones.

AFM:  Just waiting for my first OB appt next week and I've surprisingly been feeling pretty well! Pretty much back to eating most foods, except still not a big fan of steak at the moment.  Hubby and I were in Nashville last weekend for the eclipse and it was AMAZING.  The heat sucked, but luckily i felt pretty damn good for the whole trip, minus the drive there(13 hours!).  Well worth it though, that was a pretty intense moment to see full totality of the eclipse.  We're already planning for the next one lol!  So right now we are just enjoying the rest of hubby's week off together and heading out on a little day trip for him to get some nice photos.

    Be well!

  • @dreamcometrue2017  wow I can't believe you made the drive wow!!  It was cool from what I saw in NY...but you went all out for sure!  Glad you're feeling better thats awesome!!

this was the final update on my embabies...
I had my 5 fertilized, had a 5AB blast on day 5, then on day 6 i had another 2 blasts 4BC, quality means they were expanding but didn't start hatching...I was upset originally BUT healthy pregnancies still happen from these lil embabies so I shall still have hope.  My other 2 lil fighters they still watched on Day 7...I'm impressed with my girls that both were still in the running!  They pooped out in the end and stopped expanding BUT I loved that they fought!!!  So that makes another 3 for testing...praying theres normies to come back PLEASE!!!!  I can't say I'm not a lil disappointed I didn't get more to test since more eggs were retrieved this cycle...but it is what it is.

I also made it to the RE since i'm still not 100%, t
his time my ovaries are still a bit inflamed the right side is still quite large BUT should get better...so I"m hoping for the best!  Had some left over fluid as well...nothing abnormal which is what I want to hear just unfortunate my body didn't bounce back as fast. (TMI)  I do have a clogged follicle causing me extra pain so thats fun  s   Soon I will start estrace hopefully once AF arrives.  Got my consent paper work so we'll be one step closer...so many forms to sign.  We got this far dont get why theres another form that needs to be signed.

Hopefully I will catch up to you ladies soon :)  Hope everyone is feeling good!!

  • @dreamcometrue2017 I'm so glad you are feeling better!! I have been a mess for almost 4 weeks now. So much nausea and exhaustion. I was worn out on Monday so I went on my deck for a quick peek at the sun during the eclipse but then I went back inside pretty quickly due to the heat.

Good luck with your first OB appointment!!

I had my NIPT test on Wednesday and I should get the results some time next week. I expressed concern about stopping my progesterone and not having the levels checked so she whisked me down the hall to get a very quick (and off the books) scan for reassurance and my two little ones were moving around like crazy. Next scan (NT scan) will be at 12 weeks and it can't come soon enough!

  • Hey ladies!!  Its been quiet around here, hopefully that means everyone is ok and enjoying life!

AFM:  I had my first OB appt this morning at 9w4d.  We did another ultrasound and everything looks great! I was so nervous going into this appt because last time i was pregnant the problems came between 8 and 12 weeks.  So im very relieved that i got this extra ultrasound in.  We have our 1st trimester screening set up and we are excited!   I just had to pause in my post so hubby can do my 9 week photo shoot lol.  I can't wait to see what he does with each weeks pics and the pics he takes at the doctors visits.  I'm also still feeling pretty good considering, mostly tired from restless sleep and i have NO inclination to cook anything, its very inconvenient esp when I eat every couple hours!

Hopefully everyone else has some positive updates!

  • @dreamcometrue2017 I'm glad your first OB appt went well! How exciting!

I'm currently 8 weeks and 6 days.  I have my final RE appointment and ultrasound next Tuesday.  I'm glad I've made it this far, but weirdly kind of sad to move on.  I feel like the I know him and the nurses so well and I'm afraid I won't like my OB as much.  Plus, I like going in for the weekly ultrasounds at my RE's office for reassurance that things are still going well.

I'm also feeling pretty good.  Luckily I've had no morning sickness so far, keeping my fingers crossed things stay that way.   I am tired more than usual and go to bed around 9 every night!  But I have to wake up to pee constantly, so that probably isn't helping with my energy level.  Other than that, I'm just hungry a lot.  I feel like I could eat every couple hours or so, so I just try to keep healthy snacks with me.

I hope everyone is doing well!  Can't wait to hear everyone's updates.
  • Hi Everyone! Glad to hear all the good news!

Came back from Asia earlier this week and I feel just fine. No morning sickness yet. Don't feel that tired either and for that matter, no real pregnancy symptoms. That was great as I got to enjoy my trip but now a bit concerned.  I have an appointment with my RE tomorrow so we shall see. If the appointment goes well, then I'm released to my OB.

Speaking of OB, I should have made a call to see the OB after my 6-week scan. Just made a call this week and I was initially told that there was no opening until the end of September which would put me past week 12. The receptionist checked another clinic (the clinic is part of a large hospital network) and I was able to make an appointment with a nurse practitioner on week 10. Whew!

  • Hey Ladies, just wanted to check in and make sure everyone is doing well.

@cashewchicken I'm so happy you had a good time in Asia and you are still feeling well!! Also glad you were able to get an appt with you OB before 12 weeks.

@hopeful_mom I've kept up with some of your more recent posts on the Sept FET thread. I'm sorry about your last ivf cycle, but wish you good luck this month! We can only look forward to the future at this point! I hope everything is going well in this cycle for you and you can have your FET soon!

AFM:  Today is a very off day for me.  I (think) i slept most of the night, but i felt so shitty waking up this morning.  Tired and my back is sore.  I'm at 10.5weeks and I'm terrified.  Our next appt is Sept 17 for our 12 week ultrasound and I'm so damn worried.  Im right at the point where I believe I had the mc last time and these next 11 days are going to be rough.  I feel so anxious and worried and just hope the little Sour Patch(thats what hubby and I call the baby) is doing well.  I know we are doing everything we can to make sure the baby is staying healthy, but until I see a heartbeat on that monitor I'm going to be a mess.  Last time we went into this appt I had the worst feeling, and then it was confirmed.  These next 11 days need to go by fast!!  Last week I was seriously trying to convinve hubby we need to buy a home fetal heart monitor!  They are on amazon for $55!  I'm going to have to hit the yoga to stay calm until our appt.

  • @dreamcometrue2017 Hopefully you will feel better tomorrow!  I know I have had plenty of off days followed by easier days (all nauseous though). I actually got a doppler and have been listening to my little ones over the past week, it is pretty easy to use. Fortunately/unfortunately I have seen my little ones every week since week 9 (now 12 weeks today) because I have been having pregnancy eczema outbreaks across my face and went in for appointments to make sure there werent issues.

AFM- the morning sickness (all day nausea) has been kicking my butt. Hopefully that will subside soon!  I wasn't able to get NIPT results from my first blood draw as there wasn't enough fetal DNA present but I did get a redraw so hopefully those results will come in this week or early next week. But my NT scan looked good with a nuchal fold around 1.1 for both babies, just waiting for the blood work that goes with that test.
  • rachel2107 awwwwww 12 wks with 2 how amazing is that!  I would want to listen to their heartbeats all the time...are you really able to tell the difference between the 2, i hear its tough!  Hoping all tests come back great!  I'm sure the nausea is going o kick you butt, remember its 2x...thats what they always like to say to me!

@dreamcometrue2017 I hate that its been such a rough annoying road and such a roller coaster ride of emotions!   Just happy to finally be getting all set for an FET and nervous as anything!!!  I understand how you feel and pray everything continues to move forward correctly! Did they have a reason for your previous MC?  Not that mine did for twins so I can only imagine how scared you are as i'm terrified right now.  I would get the doppler!  Hoping your appt comes quick for you and me...hopefully I'll be preggers by then eeeekkkkk :)

  • @Hopeful_mom When is your transfer scheduled? I hope this is the one for you! As for my babies on the doppler, they are very easy to tell apart because they are on two different sides.
  • @rachel2107 That is so amazing!!  So happy they are doing well.  I had some kind of rash outbreak during my ER cycle and even on my month off...I can only guess that that was the reaction I had to the meds, which was the only one, so I can't really complain.  As long as it doesnt signal something wrong with the babies, i would welcome the chance to keep seeing/hearing them!

@hopeful_mom. I really hope this is your month!  You so deserve it!  With my previous mc there was no reason given, I had no symptoms, no bleeding, no pain.  The baby just stopped growing.  We opted not to have the in depth testing after the D&C, just the basic test saying it wasn't cancerous. I still think it had to do with my progesterone, which is the only thing in all the tests I've done that has come back low. However, that was never checked with my first pregnancy, and of course I didnt know better.  And the OB still denies that progesterone would cause the mc! I have requested to see him as little as possible this time around, even though I know i will have to eventually, I'm sticking with the female doc that I really like.  The male doc is a jerk.

I really think I'm going to just order the doppler so I don't drive myself(and hubby) crazy.  Fingers crossed for you to be knocked up by my appt!

@dreamcometrue2017 its so upsetting and I wasn't taking aspirin at the time and wonder if that was an issue!  Funny i'm on the male vs female thing too.  The ER i had my female dr I got normies and now the 2 times I had male dr I got nothing back...is it coincidence maybe...BUT it still upsets me.  Its not that I dislike the guys but still it does make you wonder.  Splurge and go for the doppler...lets just hope it doesn't drive u batty too ;)

  • Good luck with your transfer @hopeful_mom!
  • Hi ladies! Hope everyone had a nice weekend and is feeling well.  I had a few questions that I was curious about....

I'm 11w2d today(yay!) and the anxiety I had last week has calmed somewhat mainly because Im still feeling a lot of the symptoms I had previously, so I'm hoping thats a good sign.  I was just wondering if any of you ladies have a belly yet?  A few weeks ago I would get pretty bloated to the point that it looked like I was 4 months or so, but now I have a little bump thats always there! I was just curious if its too early.  That's also helped me calm down a little cuz it wasnt there last week. I also can feel a harder spot pretty low down above my pelvic bone, which hopefully means my uterus has finally peaked over the pelvis!

Anyone else have their symptoms come and go?  The main part of my worry last week (besides history repeating itself) was the fact that for 1-2 days I didnt feel the usual symptoms.  I'm also taking it as a good sign that I still have a serious aversion to steak(not meat, but STEAK specifically).

FInally, I don't think anyone has really asked about due dates! I'm curious to see how close we all are?

Prayers and wishes for continued good news!!

  • @dreamcometrue2017 My bump has slowly made an appearance over the past few weeks. I will be 13 weeks tomorrow (due March 21). I definitely don't fit into my jeans anymore and have started wearing maternity jeans which are so comfortable!!

Symptoms do come and go and you should really enjoy the good days. I have very few good days and while I like the reassurance of symptoms, I haven't been able to eat normally since week 5.
  • @rachel2107 I'll be 12 weeks on Saturday (due March 31) and sunday is my first trimester screening.  It feels like its so damn far away and I am so anxious for this appointment.  I'm going to be afraid to look at the screen when we get the ultrasound done.

Another thing I'm worried about is that even though my belly is popping out a little, I haven't gained any weight yet.  I never vomitted, just had nausea and discomfort.  So I'm hoping thats not an issue.

We just want Sunday to come and everything to be ok so we can finally tell our families, as last time we got so close and weren't able to.  Our 6th anniversary is on Monday and I really hope we have good news going into that.

I hope everyone is doing well.

  • @dreamcometrue2017  @rachel2107 so exciting you're all rounding to the end of the first and onto the second...thats just so exciting!  Hoping you have a great appt!!  There's so much MS or just being nauseous that you really dont gain too much weight right away so dont worry about that.  In fact I think when I originally became pregnant I starting losing some of the weight I put on form the IVF.  It was nice...now 5 more cycles later I'm 20/30lbs heavier...I'm wondering where the baby is  :D  spring babies will be so nice!  I'm a fellow spring baby myself :)

  • @dreamcometrue2017 I have lost about 7 pounds since I got pregnant. I did however put on 15 pounds while trying to get pregnant and going through IVF. The doctor isn't worried about it. But if I lose 10% of my weight then we will start keeping a closer eye on it.
  • @hopeful_mom and @rachel2107 I guess thats reassuring to hear.  I didnt gain any weight during ivf cycling(guess i didnt do it long enough) to really lose anything. My metabolism has gone a bit crazy in the last 5 years or so, its gotten much faster somehow.  I've been the same weight for a few years now, but I've been reading that its ok to not gain weight the first trimester and I spoke to a nurse as well.  Now I'm just super anxious and nervous for Sunday's ultrasound.

@hopeful_mom I hope you are still on track for your FET. I've been lurking a bit in other threads since its been a bit quiet around here! It's exciting to see what others are doing.  Fingers crossed for you!

  • That's so exciting that you are finally getting to schedule your Transfer @hopeful_mom!  I'm sure you can't wait.

I had my first OB appointment today.  It went fine but I definitely miss my smaller RE office.  They put me down as 11 weeks and 3 days and got to hear the baby's heartbeat.  That was really cool!  I've gained a couple pounds so far, but I've had no morning sickness (thankfully) and I feel hungry all the time.  I'm trying to just keep healthy snacks around.

  • @hopeful_mom Earlier when i saw your update about your E2 levels on the other thread and your post here I actually cheered and hubby was like"whats going on?" So i told him and since I had told him about your journey before and how I wished you would get your break this month, he got excited and started clapping!  It was so cute.  We're all excited for you over here!  Im sending you good vibes! Monday is our anniversary so hopefully it will be lucky for you!  We've had a series of lucky dates for our ivf journey so far. ER was on mother-in-laws bday, transfer was on my brother's bday, first OB appt was on my nephews bday, and due date is on one of my best friends bdays!

Just wanted to drop in for an update!  We had our 1st trimester screening today and everything looks great!! We saw our little sour patch up close and it was wiggling all over the place! Didnt want to cooperate at first so we could get a profile shot, kept showing us its little butt!  Stubborn just like daddy!  Anyway, we are super excited since we just got the call back from the doctor and everything is good!  I'll be seeing my doctor on Monday for my monthly check up.  At least I can breathe a little easier now.  Hope everyone is doing well!

  • @dreamcometrue2017 that is so great that you got your results same day!! I had to wait for my blood work to come in (the scan was 2 weeks ago and other than one of my babies having a low lyin placenta which shouldn't cause any issues, everything looked good). I have an appointment on Wednesday to go over the bloodwork with the scan so hopefully I will have more good news then! NT measurements were both around 1.1 so I shouldn't have anything to worry about but of course as the day approaches, I am really starting to freak out!

And congrats on finding out the gender! Since we are having twins, we won't be able to find anything out until the anatomy scan. But I'm 14 weeks (on Wednesday) so that isn't too far away!

@Hopeful_mom I hope everything goes smoothly today with your transfer and you get good news in the next week (if you take at home tests).
  • hi ladies!! I am PUPO yay!!!  Its so exciting to type that and its for me woohoo!!!
It was an interesting day.  Of course I didn't get much sleep and was headed to the clinic bright and early for acupuncture first.  Got there and they basically tell me I'm not scheduled for my transfer till the afternoon....really thats odd AND thats not what they told me on saturday.  SOOOOO regardless we get things moving and the RE doing my transfer is awesome and tells me he'll fit me into his day and it won't be a problem.  I was thrilled all systems were a go.  OF COURSE I was already stressing but i really was just trying to stay calm and go with it.
I won't lie till I found out my lil pnut thawed ok and was ready for transfer I was nervous....OH was running late of course cause it wouldn't be him if he wasn't   And after 60ozs of water I was ready to go.  My fresh transfer I held my bladder through acupuncture and it was torture so this time it really was so much better.  Did Acupuncture right after and was exhausted by the time I got home and slept the whole afternoon....I think I slept more today then after my ER this time...not kidding.  Hopefully that lil nugget is getting all cozy and snuggly.
Just had my pineapple drink...let the symptom spotting begin...you know I already had a lil cramp and  was like yes lets keep it coming and then nothing...

Why I'm acting like I've never been through this before I guess I just have to hope I'll have similiar symptoms since it did work prior and thats what worries me...I'll try not to drive myself too crazy... or you   haaaaaaa.
