6w 6d. Anybody else feel like they have been hit by a truck. I am so tired, and just want a coke. I woke up from my nap not wanting to move. My fitbit shows that my heart is working a lot harder than normal, and I think that explains it. But I just feel useless.
Also having what I can only describe as cervical cramps, because it reminds me of the time the doctor put the speculum in deep during my hsg because I pushed it out the first time. Wondering if it is because the mucus plug is forming.
Some cramping early on, mood swings and i am fareeeezing. It's mid August and I'm sleeping w pants and fleece socks. Also more frequent pee breaks. Especially overnight augh!
Is baby brain a thing this early? I swear I saw a patient earlier this morning and now I can't remember what they even looked like. I'm writing the medical note from our visit and thankfully I took good notes because it's like a total blank.
@JJMNO1616 I don't know how early its 'supposed' to affect us but its a real thing! I've read something that says we actually lose brain cells during pregnancy and that it takes nearly 12 months post-partum for our brains to recover from the effects of pregnancy!

I was reading something couple weeks ago saying that some effects last up to 5 years
For the ladies experiencing constipation, my doctor told me that I can take Miralax until I get movememt and then she suggested I take Colace which is a stool softener.

I second the colace. I took it once a day every day with my first after some pretty bad constipation issues that almost resulted in ER visit.
@JJMNO1616 from what I understand it's because hormones tell your brain to reprioritize, and you notice it not devoting as much energy to the things it used to
Anyone else having severe headaches? I'm sure it's a mix of hormones and the caffine withdrawal... and maybe the beginning of a sinus infection but I'm completely miserable. Anyone have any good headaches tips?
@julzy headaches are fairly routine. drink drink drink until you're done, then drink some more lol. It's so hard at this stage of our pregnancies but staying hydrated will relieve a lot of symptoms, especially head aches. I usually end up using a humidifier in my room too because I get headaches in my house as it gets drier.

I woke up last night from cramping... freaked me out a bit but it's stopped and everything seems ok! I've been having some crazy dreams, and I hope pregnancy brain is a thing- I took stew beef out to thaw last night and forgot it on a plate on the counter and had to throw it out this morning. Oops! I hate being wasteful! Other than that, sore boobs!
I've been having the exact symptoms. I am so glad the extreme irritability isn't just me, I thought I was crazy. I told my husband last night that it's like my slight pet peeves are being magnified and I try but don't succeed to control my antsy attitude.
@JJMNO1616 I bought Colace but when I looked it up in Ovia it was considered a Class C drug so I stopped taking it. I feel like it is prescribed frequently but I wanted to confirm with my doc and see if some natural stuff would help first. UPDATE: Activia is my new BFF.

You know, I came across a lot of conflicting information about it when I researched Colace. Most medical sites (like Mayo Clinic) state that it is generally considering safe for pregnancy, and that some prenatal pills even contain it.
However, it IS technically a class C drug, only because no pregnancy studies have been done for it. Pretty much all of the sites I researched said to discuss it with your doctor.
@ngolimento I totally agree with you! There is SO much information out there I feel like I am constantly second guessing myself. My mom has sort of rolled her eyes at some of the stuff were not supposed to do (specifically, no runny eggs) and said "its a miracle you guys turned out fine". And I get it. Ultimately, I think it is hard to find a realistic balance when I have knowledge that it might not be safe.
@JJMNO1616 I read that there is the threat of bacteria with an undercooked egg. I might loosen up on this after the first tri though because I love a soft boiled egg
anyone else still having a lot of CM. I don't remember having this much still at 7 weeks but then again that was over 3 years ago when I was pregnant with DD.
@JJMNO1616 The runny egg is just like anything raw or undercooked, including steak, there is always a chance for bacteria since you're not killing it by cooking it.
@julzy I have migraines and with my last pregnancy they were horrible during first trimester but improved around 18 weeks. Not to be debbie downer, but nothing helped me. Hydrating like @ladythrice said did cut down on the fre
@saralee797-2 I'm not sure if you've heard of this, but there's a great service out of Texas Tech pharmacy department called InfantRisk. There's an app and a hotline you can call during business hours to ask questions about any medication or supplement during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Here's the screenshot of colace from my app and the hotline number is at the bottom

I keep having dreams and little one is a boy. I cant remember if I had any gender dreams with my daughter. But im curious if its true or not lol. *T* I also had a dream that I miscarried when I was 4 weeks, but in the dream I was around 15 weeks based on what it looked like (it was a strange dream), so there's that.... *T*
I know true round ligament pain is usually much later, but I'm having the exact same thing I had super early on with my 1st- stabbing pain when standing up too fast. I remember it being so awkward still hiding the pregnancy at work and trying to pretend I didn't yell out and double over when standing up...super excited for THAT again!

I've been having RLP for two weeks already I say it's because our bodies are familiar with it this time but IDK. Regardless it's there for me too
Insomnia! With my first all I wanted to do was sleep, but this time I just can't seem to turn my brain off to rest. Guess that's just my body training me for the sleepless newborn phase...
Anyone else having cramping? I'm 5 weeks and have had lots of dull cramping. Praying it's normal!! That's really my only symptom thus far.
@ackershan I am also having a little cramping, very dull and only on my left side pelvis. I am almost 7 weeks and am calling my OB tomorrow to talk about a possible ectopic. In a FTM, so am hoping that I'm just being sensitive. Hope all is well with your pregnancy!

I think usually ectopic's are extremely painful. Like doubled over in pain. Fx its nothing serious!

I know they definitely are if they rupture, but I'm just being extra anxious/careful. I'll feel better in the AM if my OB says it's fine. Thanks for the reassurance!
Can everyone talk about their cramping? I just want to see what everyone else's feels like in comparison to mine. I'm trying not to worry. Mine is kind of all over the place. I have dull aches randomly in my back, sharp ones inside hips. They only last for a few seconds at a time and its random, not just when I sneeze or anything like that. I also started having some extremely light pink spotting today, which is making me pay attention to everything and worry. I dont know if spotting is even the word. I only get it when I wipe and its not discharge. It just looks like my pee is slightly pink, but I'm trying to drink more water than normal so I have to go more and can keep checking. Ugh, I really really hate this waiting part. lts almost worse than the TWW.
Are you having any cramping?
How long does it last at once?
~How many times throughout the day do you have it?
How long has this been going on, i.e. from the beginning and how far along are you now?
Describe it the best you can (sharp, dull, location):
@ftm_ohio the level of pain for an ectopic depends on how far along you get. My last loss was an ectopic that self-resolved at 5 weeks. It was a constant stabbing pain on one side that started about 3 days after implantation, and grew worse until the day I started bleeding at 5 weeks (went away immediately upon bleeding).
From the research I did, usually intense "can't walk" pain happens when the rupture happens around 8 weeks. You are definitely doing the right thing by going in to get checked.

5w even and the bloat is real with this child. I unbuttoned my pants while sitting at my desk today cuz I'm classy like that.
