December 2017 Moms

21 wks & on bedrest

Hi I am 21 weeks pregnant and on strict bedrest since 17 weeks. I'm trying to cope and trusting God. I'm praying alot because I don't want to have to come this far and not end up with my bundle of joy. Anyway all the best to all the moms to be out there and I'll keep you as well in my prayers.

Re: 21 wks & on bedrest

  • Positive thoughts and prayers for you too. Do you mind if I ask why you are on bed rest? Hopefully, it is something that will get better so that you can get off of bed rest at some point.

  • I am so sorry. It's not the same, but I had to have emergency surgery at 19 weeks and was on bedrest for a week. It's nothing compared to what you have been going through, but I wanted to say that I do understand the feelings. It's so frustrating to be doing absolutely nothing, and to feel so helpless. All I can offer is the advice that the doctors must know what they're doing, and hopefully like @clovelyone said, you can get off bed rest at some point.

Best of luck, and I hope you find a way to keep your mind occupied. That was the hardest part for me.

  • *hugs* I'm sorry you have to deal with being on bed rest. I personally have never been on bed rest, but my SIL was during the last 2 months of her pregnancy with her twins. It was really hard for her, especially since she is such an active person and had two young kids at the time.
But she understood that it was important for her babies to get as much time to grow as possible and being on bed rest was the only way that would happen.
I'll send you healing energy and ask the Gods to give you strength.
