Fun Friday / Super Saturday

What are you doing this weekend?

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

DH is going out to dinner with his 3 sisters tonight and I'm maybe going to visit two of mine and their kids / going to bed early. I'm really wiped out this week! I think he's working on the dressers tomorrow and I need to get the baby shower list to my sister. He works Sunday and I may or may not go to the softball game.

Tomorrow is DDs weekend with my parents. They take her one overnight (Saturday noon to Sunday at 5pm) a month so DH and I can have date night.

DH has a DJ gig during the day so I am going to go treat myself to a "you made it to third trimester" pedicure. Then when he gets home depending on how tired he is we will either be going out to dinner or ordering in. He mentioned a movie too but I don't think I will make it going to a movie at 9pm so we compromised and will go Sunday after church.

@MKMandeville that's awesome that you have one weekend a month like that! How nice of your parents and what great memories / relationship it must make for your DD.

DH is working all weekend. I have a friend coming over for a play date tomorrow and I'm excited to meet her 2nd son (2 months old). Her oldest and my DD are just a few months apart. Tomorrow night we are going for a boat ride on the lake with some friends. Then packing for our mini vacation next week.

No big plans this weekend however my mom and I have set a date for the baby shower so she wants a list of people to invite. Also I need to finish my registry so she can include that in the invite. So I am hoping to get it all done this weekend.

@cwalker042 - If you've never been to one, definitely plan to be there for several hours!

@mymulligan it is quite nice. However, I pretty much miss her as soon as she is gone but it's needed for everyone involved. My parents get there one on one time with her and DH and I get to focus in us and sleep in. She is so ready to go already she is currently mad at me that it isn't Saturday yet. Not like I can make the calendar go by faster but she seems to think I can. Haha

@cwalker042 Have you also been told to eat the meatballs? Haha

Nothing exciting but I get to babysit my twin niece and nephew while the parents go to work. We live down the street but it's been about 2 months since I've seen them. So I can't wait for snuggle time. DH will be working again this weekend so nothing exciting on that end.

@cwalker042 Their cinnamon rolls are pretty good, too. I wish there was am IKEA closer to me!

After the crazy weekend we had last weekend, and me starting back to work yesterday, we are just going to spend some much needed time together, just the two of us. Maybe going to the zoo or something like that around town. Also, get our thank you notes written from the baby shower.

@cwalker042 I dread IKEA because it's a zoo but @hillaryo14 is so on point. Those cinnamon rolls!!

@samsterrr I thought you meant to do that! Lol!

@angkay711 our state fair is going on right now too! I'm looking forward to eating some yummy fair food too!

The agency I work for has a foster parent appreciation day at the water park this Sunday, so that's what I'll be doing. Otherwise, I'm hoping to just relax but I'm sure my two kiddos will have other ideas lol

@NYTino24 we got a dresser for the nursery, a dresser and bed for my 2 year old, spice racks, a ton of throw pillows and a few odds and ends. I could have spent SO much more money! I'll post pictures once hubby puts it all together.
