Weekly Symptoms 7/31-8/6

Re: Weekly Symptoms 7/31-8/6

  • I've traded horrible SPD for a full body puritic rash, maybe poison sumac? Too bad there still isn't much to take, I gave in to some benadryl because I was scratching myself bloody. I also threw up to the point of having blood in it the other day, all from acid reflux so I had to start something to calm it. That was some bad chest pain. DD was great though. She rubbed my belly and sang a lullaby, helped me in the bath and with lotion then brushed my hair while DH comforted me while I ugly cried over my day and my sweet patient who will for sure pass away.

  • @MaximumEffort  that sounds awful, so sorry. :(

Anyone else having a lot of watery/EW CF? I keep worrying it's my mucus plug.

  • @Abby7 while it can be very common to have lots CF it might be worthwhile mentioning to OB. They might just double check it to be safe. My OB told me any discharge whatsoever should be reported.

Also so anyone else dying due to heartburn in the middle of the night. I literally have a bottle of tums on my night stand.
  • @ShePersisted I have tums on my nightstand but mine is usually bad when I'm trying to get to sleep.   I am still getting nausea too so that's a wonderful combo.
  • My nausea is coming back just a little bit. Mostly my hips and lower back are completely killing me. I'm waddling already like an 8 month pregnant lady because of the pain.

I've avoided the heartburn so far, but with my boys I had terrible heartburn and could not have managed without my Zantac.

  • I'm so sorry @MaximumEffort :-( That sounds so awful. I hope you get some relief soon.

I'm having horrible hip pain and upper back pain. If I sit for too long or etc my hips lock right up and my back constantly feels like I need to crack it and I can't.

I've been living with a heating pad at night.  My lower back feels like I fell down the stairs.  Also some heartburn even with no fatty or spicy foods.  Must be cause everything is compressed.  Thoughts on those pregnancy pillows to help with sleeping?  I'm only using a body pillow.
  • Can't believe it's August already! Symptoms aren't as bad as I thought they'd be at this point yet, thankfully. Just getting ligement pain on the sides of my bump when I walk too much, ouch those hurt! Heartburn only if I eat the occasional cheat meal lol I pay for every cheat I eat, I tell you what! It makes me feel like garbage for a whole day, motivation to eat well I suppose :) You're doing great, ladies!
  • @fishakris my snoogle pregnancy pillow is a game changer for sure! Best investment!
  • @lpyper33 thank you for the advice.
  • Puked everywhere again today. Just uncontrollable. Need to invest in a steam cleaner.
  • Just over here puking my brains again...oh lawd!!
  • @lancomechica2 I hope you get a break from the MS soon.
  • Low back pain and indigestion...that is all, no further explanation needed. My OB does not recommend chiropractic care while pregnant but she does approve of a prenatal massage so I'm planning to book one for the next week DH is off.
  • My vacation started with me leaving work early because the rash got to be too much and I felt like I would pass out if I tried doing anything too fast. I ate, drank tons of water and sat when I could.  Ended up at my midwife crying because I feel so crappy and the BH have started to hurt. So vacation is now a prednisone taper, blood work, urine sample and a test to see likely hood of preterm delivery. We were suppose to leave tonight but we will be going in the morning instead. I still have to pack but I feel like passing out instead.
  • I think my feet are stretching out. The one thing I was hoping to avoid since I wear a 12-12.5 already. My work clogs are feeling kinda snug today

  • @MaximumEffort that sucks, I'm sorry. Hope you get some relief soon.

@DungeonTrollMel mine too. And I'm starting to swell. It's a miracle it's taken this long this summer with all the heat we've had.
  • Thanks everyone. Last night was horrible. DD was so cute though, she came and turned my bedroom light off and told me "I hope you get good sleep cause tomorrow is a big day" and this morning she woke up asking how I slept, if it was the baby or itching that kept me awake. I start oral steroids today, 5 days worth, I already feel less itchy which us a relief.
  • I feel like baby is really low. I'm assuming it's baby anyways. I keep getting these sharp feelings like he's kicking me in the crotch.
  • Anyone else having a real hard time breathing? It's not all the time but I sometime find myself just struggling to breathe. This is not breathlessness from walking or any physical activity but just randomly I feel like I really have a hard time breathing.
  • @mymulligan welcome to what I call the lightening crotch club. Typically this starts towards the end when baby drops but I had it a couple weeks ago when LO was kicking or punching me in the cervix. You have my sympathy. Luckily he repositioned and these have temporarily stopped.
  • @ShePersisted I get this sometimes but typically I also feel my heart start racing. It doesn't happen frequently most of the time my shortness of breath is from physical activity like walking, cleaning or taking the stairs.
  • @ShePersisted after I eat I have a hard time breathing and if I've been moving around and then lay down too flat I struggle.

Has anyone had like, an hour of nonstop moving? I am pretty sure he's getting his cardio on in there tonight. It's insane

  • Indefinitely struggle with breathing. Like right now after I just ate breakfast. Was with some friends last night, and a non-pregnant one commented how she could hear the shortness of breath in us two pregnant ones.
  • @maegpie I go to the chiro all the time while pregnant. I couldn't function without her! I don't go to the male though because he's a bit rough. I've read that stats show faster births and more success rate in getting breech babies to flip when treated with chiro.
@ShePersisted Yup, I'm out of breath when doing stairs.

The brain fog and exhaustion from first trimester appears to be making a comeback just in time for third trimester. Womp womp! I lost my phone for almost a day and didn't find it until the alarm went off (in the baby's dresser drawer.) I'm also starting to get reflux (haven't had it at all this pregnancy, but had it for years before) and my hands are swollen.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • @NYTino24 if the prenatal massage doesn't work I may research more for a chiro in my area that specializes with patients that are pregnant. I went after my last pregnancy and it did miracles for my back. The chiro said every woman should go after delivery at least because your body has a hard time aligning after carrying a baby for so long and everything shifting.
  • Heads up about prenatal massages. I had one yesterday and it was a side lying massage. They were not able to get ANY relief for my low back that way. If you are planning on one, call and ask if they have the belly table or only do side lying first.

  • Last 2 days of my prednisone taper, I hate the stuff. Insomnia, mood swings and indigestion are real and forgetting stuff. We are on vacation and DH has been great. Still feel a bit like crap today but at the least it's a rainy day so no big plans.
