Looking for some suggestions to help with the extreme fatigue I'm feeling. I'm 7 1/2 weeks in (and super happy!) but super tired. thanks in advance!!! i will try (almost) anything at this point.
Nap whenever possible and make positive to take your prenatal vitamins and drink lots of water. I found the days I accidentally forget my vitamin I feel crappier in every way- more fatigued, round ligament pain is more intense, etc.
I quit drinking coffee/ caffeine when I found out I was pregnant because they say it's bad for the baby. I'm 7 weeks and been having the same issue. Eating fruit helps because it's simple carbohydrates which gives you a quick boost of energy. I take an hour nap after work when possible. Hubby usually gets home from work while I'm napping and teased me about being lazy. It should get easier once we get out of first trimester.
I drink a cup of coffe in the AM, try to rest when my kids rest in the afternoon, and basically die every night at 8:30 pm. The struggle is real. It gets better 2nd trimester for me at least.
@sarahhedger - if you want a cup a day you can! 200 mg a day - 1-2 cups of coffee, is fine, according to most doctors and medical advice, but do what you feel best with. Only if you feel comfortable with it! It would be so hard for me to give up totally!
I was also really struggling with exhaustion. I realized that my prenatals do not have iron in them (whichnim told is because iron can stop thw vitamins from absorbing fully, so they should be taken separately) I looked into iron supplements and settled on Floradix. im 4 days into taking it and i already feel better. MS is still giving me greif but at least i dont feel like im going to pass out every second. Im so hopeful that maybe i can get back to the gym in another week! Oh and im 8w5d!
