night terror???

My older kids never had a night terror at this age.has anyone else's los had a night terror?I THINK that's what it was....?!? Lil one woke up SCREAMING like we've never heard him scream or cry like this before. He was not really awake though I mean his eyes were open but he was in dream state still.I picked him up trying to comfort him but he was stiffening his body and still screaming so I was trying to talk to him and rub his back but nothing was working. After about 10-15 horribly scary min he was fine and fell back asleep.anyone else?or advice?

I'm so sorry to hear this. I have no personal experience, but my cousin has. When her son was about 18 month that he started having what she thought was seizures at night only, he would be incontinent, scream, tense up super tight, eyes open, but not there. They would last what felt like forever but prob a few mins or so. She took him to three specialist  neurologist, urologist and sleep doc... what was concluded was night terrors. He is now 3 and has not had any in several months. It was terrible listening to her stories. She was terrified. Fortunately he did not ever remember them when he would wake up. I hope your little boy outgrows them quickly.
