@fishsticks-n-custard cuke salad = cucumber salad. My aunt used to make it all the time when I was a kid. It's equal parts water, white vinegar, and sugar, then toss in thinly sliced cucumbers and onion (I usually don't eat the onion cause I don't like it raw), dump it all into a dish (I prefer using a gallon ziplock bag) and refrigerate overnight. Every few hours or so I turn the bag over to make sure it gets mixed up. Then nom! My sister has made it and added tomato wedges to it and she said it was great (I don't like raw tomato either so... I stick to the cucumber parts lol). Also

@jrm_14 I hear you on the self control thing. Due to anovulatory cycles wherein I was using OPKs, but not pregnancy tests, I currently have 37 pregnancy tests in my house. That's my excuse for my lack of self control anyway
@nitnat007 I hope you guys can figure something out without having to go to court. That's really rough.
@BusinessWife Awwww that's so sweet! And I love your joke!

@jrm_14 Its the thought that counts right? I would have been the same with though. Maybe next week? Sorry about the stress.
@BusinessWife Aw that is so nice to hear about YH. He is really staying involved with the process. It really helps when you feel like you are not on your own. Super sweet!
@lurvelybunchofcoconuts Thank you! Appreciate that a lot. We had more than a few trying times along the way. and I believe that as long as she feels that there is more to take, she will not stop. Sounds like you will have a fun weekend. What have you got on the agenda so far?
@AC93639 Sorry to hear about your back. And really hope that everything is ok with your mom and nothing too serious.
@fishsticks-n-custard Hey CB! Unfortunately I do not believe that mediation will be an option. We tried to go that route first, but she is after as much money as possible and since she in with a legal aid lawyer, and we pay out of pocket, we lose. The frustrating part is that we just settled on something not even six months ago and it cost us thousands and she walked away with an additional $100 a month. So to have to go through this again so soon is quite the hit. FX YH did not really get you sick and that is it just short lived. Feel better!
@nitnat007 What a pain! I am sorry for the drama with YH's ex. Does he usually have a pretty good relationship with her? Is it regarding financial compensation?
@BusinessWife So sweet to see YH getting prepared too! And I laughed at that joke. It's awesome! ha.
@lurvleybunchococonuts I need your recipe for cuke salad. What else do you put in it? (ETA: I just saw your above post...yum). I make a really good quinoa tabouli with cucumbers & tomatoes and it is a yummy summer dish!
@AC93639 So sorry to hear your mom is in the hospital? Has she been sick for awhile or is this a recent development? Praying for a speedy recovering. And also FX your lower back pain is a good sign!
@fishsticks-n-custard I am sorry you are sick! Colds in the summer are the worst!
So I guess I go here now!

CS/Q: I think my cycle is really wonky. I usually have a longer cycle (32-34) and O around CD19/20. Last month my cycle was only 29 days...you're normal until you're not, right?
And this cycle it looks as though I might have O'd on CD16, which is earlier than I anticipated. My chart is not as pretty and my temps are not as high as I thought, so we will see if CHs change. I thought everything looked great last cycle and no such luck, so I don't have too much hope for this one.
Have you all had your O date vary that much?
GTKY: I remember seeing this GTKY back when I was in bump jail/as a lurker, but it was fun. Tell me a jokeI bought some shoes from a drug dealer. I don't know what he laced them with, but I've been tripping all day.

@dukestar5 This is the first cycle I've actually been tracking properly as opposed to just guessing on another cycle app. I'm realizing though that the O-date has probably been moving around a bit. You're normal till you're not isn't a super satisfying answer, but I think it's true. Gah!
@nitnat007 kudos to you for remaining level-headed for DH while he is going through this mess. That sucks. I would have such a hard time keeping my cool with this woman's behavior. I bet your DH really appreciates your support while he has to deal with this.
@AC93639 oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope this hospital visit is short-lived and that she bounces back.
@Cricket648 sorry for the BFN, but still early and look at your fabulous timing. FX for a better result soon!

He is one of the kindest, gentlest beings, I hate to see him unhappy.
CS/Q: not today....
GTKY: Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon? Great food, no atmosphere.@lurvleybunchococonuts That sounds good! I think my mom made a variation on that when I was little.

@nitnat007 Ugh that stinks. She sounds really vindictive. That's so frustrating.

Greetings - I apologize for being inactive but wanted to post an update for anyone who remembers my intro a while back.
My wife agreed to do the IUI!!!! I'm happy dancing all over the place in my head but I'm keeping it cool IRL because wife isn't super excited to get pregnant. However, she realizes that this is the only way we'll have a bio baby from her so she's gearing up to get 'er done.
She took Femara (2.5 mg) over 5 days and we did Ovidrel last night at 2:15 am so it was fun setting an alarm and getting out of bed to stick her with a needle. IUI is scheduled for tomorrow at 2:15 pm. As of Tuesday she had 2 follicles at 17 mm and (happily) 3 others that fizzled out so we can move forward with not too great of a fear of multiples. Fun fact: I had hoped for twins the first time around. After raising one baby from birth to 2.5 years I am very, very glad I didn't have twins and am very, very scared of having twins this time around so... fingers crossed for a singleton.
Anyway, if we could get some positive thoughts for fertilizing ONE egg tomorrow at 2:15 pm I would appreciate it.
And now for a joke which earned me a $20 gift card from my favorite brewpub on Facebook in the "best dad joke contest":
Dad: Does your face hurt?
Me: No. Why?
Dad: Because it's killing me!
Hahahaha
@Cricket648 Sorry about the BFN. FX its still early. Haha I have so told that joke before. Never gets old.
@dukestar5 Hi friend! Ya for CH's. I O'ed a few days earlier than expected this cycle too. I am not convinced that FF wont move my O day either. Wait and see I guess.
@lurvleybunchococonuts PUPPY!!!!! I have such a huge softness for the big slobbery dogs. Sounds like a great weekend.
@stalkinghorse DH definitely does appreciate it. And we will get through it. Beach house sounds like fun! Sounds like a good thing that your brother is reaching out. I hope that he gets the help that he needs. The first step is always the hardest, they say.
@wishiwaspreggo GL tomorrow! All the things crossed that everything goes well
@stalkinghorse GL with your brother. That's good that he's reaching out for help. Hopefully things will start to look up for him. Adding avacado sounds interesting, I bet it'd give it a creamier taste/texture

@lurvleybunchococonuts I love popcorn. We make it at least 3 times a week. And cuke salad is a thing where I grew up, too! I told MH the other day I wanted to make some! We also put fresh mushrooms in it.

@dukestar5 - Since coming off BC in January, I have O'd between CD16 and CD60. You would not believe the amount of OPKs I go through.
DSS born 01/2016

Letrozole + TI = BFP 01/30/2018 | EDD 10/11/2018
@pebbledam Yes! What is your favorite brand of OPKs? Some that I've tried just seem to confuse me more...I cannot always tell if the line is darker.
ETA I have also used CBAD, but my estrogen surge is too long to make it work properly.
DSS born 01/2016

Letrozole + TI = BFP 01/30/2018 | EDD 10/11/2018
@dukestar5 Like @pebbledam I use cheapies (Wondfo or easy@home, same thing). I would recommend experimenting with them - use them several times a day and see if you can catch your surge that way. My biggest issue is dilution - I have to try to pull back my water intake a bit during the day if I plan to test in the afternoon or evening. Every month I think they'll never turn and then, boom, they do.
@dukestar5 - I carried baby number 1 but I had a hard time getting pregnant. Took me 6 cycles. Tried 1 natural, 3 with Clomid, 1 with Femara + Follistim, and the last one was just Follistim. Then I had a hard pregnancy towards the end (gestational diabetes and preeclampsia) and I'm a little older than my wife so all those factors combined with us wanting a bio baby from nudged her into trying to get pregnant herself. I would've done it again if she absolutely did not want to try.
In any case... really hoping she's more of a Fertile Myrtle than me. She very well may be since she responded very well to such a small dosage of Femara but we shall see. Shoot, it took 600 iu of Follistim to get me pregnant :P lol
