I took letrozole without monitoring this cycle. I've decided not to worry about it, or "relax" as people try to force down your throat. I let my husband decided when we BD, and he seems to have hit both times I possibly o'ed. My temperatures are a little erratic because I've missed so many, so I don't know when I o'ed exactly.
GTKY: I have a scar on my thumb. I got it when I was 5 or 6 from jumping off of my dog house onto a laundry pole. It cut me and the scar is still there! It's not faded at all!
Or the one on my knee from around the same time. It's as big as a quarter and it's from falling off the back of my uncle's pick up truck. I gouged a huge piece of skin of on the tailgate hitch. It's smooth and doesn't grow hair. It's neat.

@Mythril I'm so glad you were able to "relax" this cycle. These breaks that aren't really breaks are definitely needed sometimes. And it sounds like your timing was still pretty good. FX!
AFM I'm sorry I vanished on this board, but I'd like to jump back in. We're in the midst of our first IVF cycle. Stimming is going well--I have ~19 follies and am just starting to feel really bloated and uncomfortable. I hope we do the ER end of this week. If all goes well, we'll do a fresh transfer this cycle.
QOTW My most obvious scar is a long one on my knee that used to be a big circular one. I got the original from a dermatology procedure gone wrong as a child; then I got it flattened and straightened out as a teen. I hardly notice it now even though it is pretty noticeable, since I've had it for so long.
@GoldenKeys thanks for getting this week started @Mythril i know what you mean about missing temps, FF keeps telling me off... it's especially this week on vacation where we have no alarm so sometimes I'm really too late even if I remember @Bababatty Welcome back and I will be really interested if you can share how it goes this first time as we're hoping to start end of the month with first IVF round
AFM waiting for appointment with RE on Thursday, to go through last BW, DH gets another SA (they want to test their reaction to my CM?) and me another US. So it's all wait wait wait... now 5DPO and trying to avoid SS as RE had said likely less than 0.1% of occurring naturally, but "no harm in trying" (which my DH took to mean have as much fun as possible!)
QOTW - I'm a bit of a patchwork quilt... "best" one is an 18inch scar down the outside of my left leg (which looks a bit like a zip!) which is the result of numerous operations after breaking my femur aged 20. I came off my horse on the road when it was chased by a large dog, and let's say the road won...

I started my estrogen last week and went in for a lining check yesterday and I'm at 14 so as long as everything looks good again on Friday we will get my FET on the books. I'm assuming we will have our transfer on the 11th and then the dreaded tww. I'm feeling pretty good about this cycle but who knows what's in store for us. Saying lots of prayers that this is our stick baby.

AFM: Preparing for the polyp removal in a couple of days, and feeling a little bit overwhelmed... Months and months ago, we were invited to a wedding this weekend in my husband's hometown, but getting there is expensive and we have no money right now - in fact, we have negative money. So even before the polyp issue, I told my H he should go without me, mostly for financial reasons - it's much cheaper if he just goes alone. And then we found out about the polyp, and I'm going to the procedure alone because he's going to the wedding, and I feel angry and sad about it. My H offered to stay home, but I don't want him to - I want him to go and have fun, and I wish we hadn't had to pay for IVF and I wish I didn't ever need to do a polyp-ectomy, and I feel so tired.
I also kind of feel unappreciated - I've been doing the lion's share of this IF work, and I don't like it. I want my H to do more. I know he can't - like, he can't go in for the vaginal ultrasound while I laze in bed - but I want him to realize that I'm doing way way more, and constantly thank me for it. Ugh.
QOTW: I have a chicken pox scar just above my eye, in the arch of my eyebrow. It's hard to tell that my eyebrows aren't the same, except when you're really close or they're grown out - I try to always groom them so you can't tell.
Hello all! @funkykey - sorry you're having a rough time I hope the polyp-ectomy goes well though. I always find having a breakdown and yelling at my hubby helps
**TW**
So, AF was due on Sunday/Monday and was a no-show, but during this last week I did a few home preg tests and all were negative, so I wasn't feeling all that hopeful. I went in to the clinic on Tuesday morning for a blood test and turns out it was a BFP!! My first ever! I am so excited and so nervous.. I have another blood test tomorrow morning (Thursday) to check my numbers. I was at 40 on Tues, so I have all my fingers and toes crossed for 80 or higher in the morning. The funny thing is that I have been feeling nauseous since Sunday, but I assumed it was nerves - happy surprise when it turns out to be something real.
**End TW**
QOTW: How did you get your weirdest scar? I am absolutely covered in scars. I work with animals so there are plenty of cat scratches in there. The most unusual one is probably the one I have one on my right leg from a wombat bite haha they are so cute, but don't cross an angry one! (and yes, I am Australian)

@funkykey I'm sorry you have to do your removal without DH along for support. I get what you mean about feeling underappreciated in this entire process. We get poked, prodded, pumped full of drugs, and they masturbate in a room. I eventually came right out and told DH I needed him to acknowledge how much I'm going through and I needed him to thank me from time to time because it's really hard. Telling him this helped a lot and he's made more of an effort to acknowledge how much I go through. Hoping your polyp removal goes perfectly.

@tops-2 I'm sorry that you have to go through all of this uncertainty. As much as I believe in science, I still think all bodies work a bit differently, so don't give up yet! I'm sorry that you have to be in limbo until Monday. I know what that is like and it's awful.
@Bababatty I'm glad your stimming is going well. Keeping my fx for you. @funkykey GL with your polyp removal. I am sorry you are having such a rough time of it lately. It stinks that DH won't be there for support. @tops-2 I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that your numbers jump by Monday. I'm sorry you have to wait so long.
AFM: Waiting, waiting, waiting. Waiting for AF. Waiting to POAS. I've only been able to withhold this long because DH expressed how upset he actually got when I tested without him. I always felt I was doing it to protect him, so I wouldn't be a big ol' mess in front of him, but apparently he actually was feeling hurt and left out. So I am waiting closer to when AF is due before I cave. I'm on CD25, so it should be any day now. I am starting to feel like AF is imminent. I'll probably test tomorrow if she doesn't rear her ugly head by then.
@tops-2 I'm sorry to hear the HCG isn't doubling as planned. There's still hope but unfortunately there's absolutely nothing you can do. Try to take it easy this weekend and try not to stress too much. Fingers crossed!

@emmasemm Ooo good luck with the IVF this month! So far it's been very smooth for me, minus some hiccups with my prescriptions and one unfortunate incident of ruining a Menopur dose. I have really not been terribly bloated or uncomfortable, which might actually be unusual. I'm definitely happy to answer any questions you have. There are a number of people on here who have also done IVF, so ask away and I'm sure we can answer!
@tinabell8 I don't know if you're mobile bumping and were trying to insert phone emojis, but I know that can cause truncated posts. May not be your issue, but I figured I'd mention it.
@Worldtravler0522 Hooray for your new FET cycle! Lots and lots of thoughts and prayers for you. I really, really, really hope this is finally your sticky bean!!
@funkykey I feel the same way re: knowing you so well now!
@tops-2 First, congratulations on your BFP! But second, I'm very sorry for all the uncertainty. I don't know anything about this, but I think I recall from other threads that some people are slow risers, so I don't think you're out just yet. FX for good news on Monday.
Going to the re tomorrow for a transvaginal ultra sound and bloodwork and then i start letriziole. I feel gross about having an ultra sound while on my period but it had to be between day 3-5 and my period normally last 7 days. If everything looks good we go for the first iui in 12 days. And then a second 1 the day after.
Thanks so much for all the support everyone, it really does help. I'm really hoping it is just a slow grower and that we get some happy news on Monday.

Sorrry I've been MIA the last few weeks. Things have been busy on the work front and slow on the baby front.
@funkykey good luck with your procedure and I'm sorry your DH has been less supportive. It's a frustrating experience and it's so much harder on women than on the men. Hugs.
@tops-2 best of luck on Monday. I'm sending you all the good vibes I have!
AFM-
I've felt very stalled in the whole process lately and like all I'm doing is sitting and waiting.. waiting for AF.. waiting for referrals.. waiting for a BFP that might never arrive. So I've thrown myself into work and have been busier than ever which helps with the waiting. It also helps that I love my job so it doesn't really feel like work.
Anyway about 5 weeks ago my husband had a referral sent to the urologist and we hadn't heard anything about an appointment yet. He called to follow up and our GP sent the referral to the wrong doctor!
so I was feeling quite discouraged and upset that we had waited 5 weeks for the wrong doctor.
We are in Canada so we can either be referred to the fertility clinic by a doctor or self refer. The difference comes in around how the costing works.. so after the whole mix up I called to self refer rather than wait any longer.. well the wait list was 6-12 months.. but when I asked if there was a cancellation list they just happened to have a spot yesterday!
So the long and the short of it is DHs SA results are too low for IUI coupled with my ovulation issues. So she said IVF ICSI is probably our best bet.. and today we started the testing! I'm feeling pretty excited in this moment. It happens to be CD3 today so I went for blood work and I have to have a hysterosalpingogram which I'm in the process of booking. I also have to have Day 28 blood work rather than 21.. she seems to think I might be struggling with PCOS so we are at least heading for an official diagnosis and treatment course.
Once all the blood work testing us done we'll go back for a follow up and figure out where to go from there.
feeling much more positive than I have in a long time!
Well, got a BFN this morning, as expected. Our first appointment for IVF is all the way in November, no form of treatment in between. We will be spending the next few months recouping our savings and I will be concentrating on me and taking a break from it all. I may pop in from time to time but will most likely be MIA from the board during that time. GL to all of you. I hope you all get your BFP before my return.
@hoffmanr7 - I'm so sorry, but happy you are moving on to IVF. Good luck these next few months!!
I posted this in another thread, but not here - my polyp turned out not to be a polyp at all, but a fibroid that I'll need to follow-up on. I'm waiting for a referral to another doctor, and then will go in for an operation to remove it. Looks like it will take a few more months before we have any chance of an FET.
It just keeps going, bah. But, to pass the time, I've signed up for a triathlon, and my doctor told me I can drink as much as I want (I mean, obviously within moderation). I thought it was a very nice thing of her to say, and made myself a cocktail the night I got the news.
@hoffmanr7 I'm sorry to hear that. I would definitely take some time to really do things for yourself before you begin IVF. Please keep us updated with your journey if you're able.
@funkykey I'm sorry the fibroid is going to set your FET back. I can't imagine how anxious you must be waiting for it. At least with that fibroid removed you will have the best chance possible for a sticky bean.
@hoffmanr7 I'm so sorry to hear about your BFN. Hopefully your downtime goes by quickly and you are back on track before you know it. Thinking of you! @funkykey I'm sorry to hear they found a fibroid and that you are benched a little longer than expected. Kudos for the triathlon though, that's amazing!

**TW** Ok, so I have spent the last 4 days going slowly out of my mind with stress and anxiety. First level was 40, two days later was only 68 and the doctor was a bit concerned. They tested today hoping for around 300, and my level was over 460. I am in shock - I can't believe it. First scan is booked in for 2 weeks time, so I'll probably keep lurking at least until then

@tops-2 Congratulations on your BFP! So good to hear great news!
12DPO today. Started taking daily baby asprin and used OPKs this month. A week after my ovulation day, RE checked my progesterone levels, which is was 17 ng/mL so no extra hormones/progesterone given. Basically I'm just waiting, overthinking every little sympton I have (or don't have) and trying not to get my hopes up. Going back to RE on Saturday for blood test unless AF arrives before than.
sending everyone positive thoughts and energy!

@funkykey - sorry you're having a rough time I hope the polyp-ectomy goes well though. I always find having a breakdown and yelling at my hubby helps

So, follow up test - my levels have risen but not doubled I'm devastated and worried now.. I have to wait til Monday for my next test.
Is there anything I can do to help? Is there any chance at all of a good outcome?

@funkykey I'm sorry the fibroid is going to set your FET back. I can't imagine how anxious you must be waiting for it. At least with that fibroid removed you will have the best chance possible for a sticky bean.
@funkykey I'm sorry to hear about your fibroid. Best of luck during the removal and enjoy the triathlon (and wine!) until then.
@funkykey I'm sorry to hear they found a fibroid and that you are benched a little longer than expected. Kudos for the triathlon though, that's amazing!

Ok, so I have spent the last 4 days going slowly out of my mind with stress and anxiety.
