thanks! i'm so lazy. all day i think i should start the thread and then...meh. that's like work.

mondays seem a bit thin on the ground here in terms of ticker change people.

1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 22w...coconut?

2) How are you feeling? heartburn has come back with a vengeance and definitely some pelvic floor pressure earlier than i expected but overall just fine

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing? boy; yes indeed

4) Any appointments this week/last? nope to both. regular OB appt next week and another round of blood tests to check my clotting factors

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? baby has been kicking the CRAP out of me lately! DH finally caught a few last night, normally this LO has a sixth sense for when he tries and then runs away to hide until he gives up, lol

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby?
errrr. i should probably make a registry for the discounts. i REALLY need to research and purchase a video monitor with two cameras asap as we want to set it up before we move DS to his new room on the top floor of the townhouse next month. i also need to restart my double stroller research, as i got so frustrated / overwhelmed with that topic that i threw up my hands a month or two ago.

otherwise, we have a whole lot less to do this time around. no big registry, no showers, no hospital classes, no nursery prep. LO will be in the current nursery, DS will be vacating at his third birthday next month but we have his new room 99 percent ready to go. we've been working on the transition items since january. all the painting is done, room cleanout, furniture purchase and assembly...we need a wall lamp, a toddler clock, and a bed rail type thing. new LO is the same sex as current LO so we don't even have that to consider. our list of things to get is like....new pacifiers, new changing pad (ours is destroyed), double stroller, video monitor, a second sound machine, diapers (we have a few boxes already in the closet), and probably some cozy winter sleepers since there will be a 2.5 month shift in seasonal clothing for the first year unless this baby is bigger than my son was.

22 weeks! Baby V is the size of a coconut.

2) How are you feeling?
Tired and a little short tempered. Does anyone else feel like they are singlehandedly outing the TUMs people's kids through college? Indigestion for days.
3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?

Team blue and team bump. I'm starting to have issues finding clothes. I haven't had to delve far into maternity because I like flowy comfy fabrics and leggings which have worked well up until now but my wardrobe is starting to be less comfy and I'm totally wearing out my leggings with over use.

4) Any appointments this week/last?

Not until the 8th and I am so stressed out. The thing about having had so many little issues is that I've rarely had to go much longer than 2 weeks without seeing baby and this 4 week wait is making me so anxious.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

Pregnancy pillow is the best thing I've purchased for this pregnancy by far. My back and my legs are feeling so much better and it doesn't take half as long to get comfy and fall asleep.

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby?
•Find bassinet or something similar so babes is close for the first few months
•research breast pumps covered by insurance
•decide about taking classes at the hospital
•EVERYTHING for nursery. So behind on that in general

4) Any appointments this week/last? nope like @brittabatwhite I have my next US (my anatomy scan) on the 8th

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? feeling good is a huge rave. we are making some progress on getting things for the babies room

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby? I need to interview dulas.. and then we need to get the new nursery put together. We are moving the twins dresser to the baby room so we have to get dressers for the twins and new beds for the twins so this one can have a crib.oh and I will have to figure out curtains for this one's room as there is currently nothing covering the windows.

@anewadventure I thought the same thing about starting the thread yesterday!

still congested and have a lot of PSD pain (pubic bone pain) which sucks. I wear a belt to help it, though.

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
yep-girl! I think I'm showing. My belly is 10" bigger than pre-pregnancy and my bust is 4" bigger! But some people are still surprised when I tell them. I carried my daughter really small, too. I've been in maternity pants for about 6 weeks already!

4) Any appointments this week/last?

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rave: DD started preschool this week so I have been organizing the house and it feels great to be getting so much done! Rant: not ready to go back to work in 3 weeks...I'm a high school librarian and the summers off are heavenly.

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby?
similar to @anewadventure this new babe is same sex as DD, so I am pretty prepared. Might get a bassinet for the stroller and a new carseat--our current carseat is still not expired but after 3 kids the cover doesn't stay on properly, which I think may be a safety hazard. The company offered me a rebate on a new seat since they no longer have replacement covers.

I also heard that some hospitals do a sibling class to help tots get ready for a new sibling, so I've got to research that.

I need to do more yoga, more kegels, and (like @wabash15) check with my doula to see if she's available and if not, interview others!

2) How are you feeling? Finally great. DS started sleeping again - apparently all he needed was to go back in a PnP. That'll be fun once the baby gets here.

4) Any appointments this week/last? Nothing til August 17th.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone have any good suggestions for transitioning my 2yo back to his bed where he feels as secure as the PnP, so he's not stuck there forever?

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby? Baby boy is stuck in our room for awhile, we need to do some rearranging and getting some of his clothes put away. (We have everything from our 2 older boys so we are fairly set on clothes. Just need to set up his area and plan our Baby BBQ thing we are doing.

@AFrye0726 is there a hurry, though? if he's not too big for the PNP, just let him sleep in it. sometimes the easiest and best thing to do is just wait, as it seems that every week or month it's a new "stage"

For some reason I totally thought we did one of these yesterday. Guess I'm living in last week still.

1) How far along are you? How big is baby?

22 weeks, so... coconut / ear of corn / half a dozen bagels / standard keyboard (definitely don't think those are all the same size, but okay)

2) How are you feeling?
Feeling super crappy, the cough from last week turned into a monster cold over the weekend. I hadn't stepped foot outside my house from midday Friday until lunchtime today when I finally ventured to the store. I feel like I might crack a rib soon with all the coughing.

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
Baby boy and yep, I've gotten comments from several different strangers now asking if it's my first (how do people know that?) and when I'm due.

4) Any appointments this week/last?
Nope, next appointment isn't until 8/11.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rave: Siggies work again!!! I just went to check and it let me put my tickers back in, yaaay!!!
Also rave: My boss emailed me that I should just work the whole week from home, so I don't have to "check in" every day that I still don't feel good. So that's a relief.
Rant: I've managed to ruin 2 of my 3 favorite shirts (it's the same shirt in 3 colors) by getting some kind of oil stains on them that I can't get out.

They're flowy and flattering, and not even that old, I'm SO upset at myself.

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby?
Oh god, everything. I feel like we've accomplished almost nothing so far, I'm starting to get more and more overwhelmed whenever I look at my list. I still have to talk to my mom about childcare logistics once she gets back from taking care of my aunt, so I haven't committed to a daycare program yet. I have to schedule the hospital tour and register for a couple classes, set up appointments to meet pediatricians, and most dauntingly, clean/organize the basement so we can empty out the office so we can turn that room into a nursery (and all the tasks that that involves). Ack!

as for your shirts, have you tried an orange oil based cleaner? that shit is like magic.

i feel like we need a NEWS FLASH to let people know they can add tickers again. but we all know i'm dying for people to have tickers. something. anything. an avatar. some words. just...something....

I haven't tried orange cleaners yet, no. I tried 2 types of Oxi-clean which totally let me down, so I'll have to go back to the store and get something more oil-specific.

2) How are you feeling?
Insomnia and heartburn plague me. Some movements are becoming uncomfortable. Otherwise, happy to have at least a little 2nd tri energy.

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?

Boy. Definitely showing, enough that some rude strangers have asked why I am "so big" at 5 months.

4) Any appointments this week/last?
Saw the OB last week. We are on a 3 week rotation for the rest of 2nd tri. Heartbeat was fine which is always reassuring.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I am feeling a little guilty that I am not as excited about this baby as I was #1. I feel like I already had all my special firsts and like I spend more time worrying about how difficult things might get and how I could possibly love another as much as my son. I know it will all come together and I will fall in love yet again but it's just hard to wrap my mind around right now.

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby?
I guess I should clean out the nursery and pull down my newborn stuff from the attic. I moved my toddler over to his new room last week which has gone mostly okay, aside from the first night which was pretty awful. He is a lot more upset when I leave than he was in his old room, but once he falls asleep he continues to STTN like he did before. I haven't moved over/cleaned out his overflowing closet of toys and outgrown clothing yet either.

2) How are you feeling? sore. Other than that feeling pretty good.

4) Any appointments this week/last? anatomy scan was last week, a have a low lying placenta that needs to be monitored but other than that it went well. And I have an appointment with my midwife on Friday.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm back to being a SAHM this week and I have a love/hate relationship with it

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby? so I've actually accomplished quite a bit in terms of purchases. I have a few odds and ends to purchase as well as diapers but other than that it's just painting and preparing the nursery.

@djd0404 sorry you have't been feeling very good. A cleaner that works amazing to get just about any stain out (even if you put it through the dryer) is 1part baking soda, 1part blue dawn and 1 part hydrogen peroxide. mix them together and rub on the stain.. you may have to let it sit for up to a week especially if its an older stain but I think 95% of the stains I've ever had to tackle including oily ones have come out and it works amazing for those poo-splosion stains that otherwise ruin baby cloths.

@anewadventure Yes/No. He just turned 2 in April, but is in 4t clothes, he can get out of the PnP which worries me because I don't want him to get hurt. I do see your point, and we could probably move him back into his room sooner rather than later still in the Pnp, we just don't have as much room since we put the bunkbeds in the boy's room. Right now the Pnp is were baby's crib is. So as long as we can move him before December we should be good.

2) How are you feeling? pretty terrible! I've been having the worst headaches of my life! I just got put on blood pressure medicine to lower my BP so I'm hoping they will be reduced. Also coming down with a sinus infection and I don't think that's helping the situation.

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing? yes, we're having a little girl and naming her Riley.

4) Any appointments this week/last? not since my anatomy scan. I have another appointment next week to follow up on the addition of the blood pressure med. They also checked my A1C because I've had insulin resistance for years. It's gone up slightly since I had it checked last but that was 10 months ago. Still not in diabetic range but theyre sending me for diabetic teaching anyhow. Also did a 24 hr urine collection to check the protein amount. I'm at 195 which is high but not in preeclampsia range which I believe starts at 300. Trying to eat clean and stay active/postive. On a good note I've lost about 15 lbs since I found out I was pregnant and I've been controlling my anxiety and depression on my own, med free since week 8.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? im glad to have seen a doctor at my office who really took charge and got things going and took the time to answer all my questions.

6) GTKY: What are the next big things on your to do list to prepare for this baby? my husband just got a huge promotion, like almost double salary, huge blessing for us! We're looking at moving into a bigger house but not sure if we can find one before baby arrives. Also looking forward to going to do the baby registry now that we know it's a girl
