  I prefer a rocker/recliner- b/c it's great when you need to sleep in the nursery (when DC is sick, having sleeping issues, or you simply can't get comfy in your bed towards teh end of your pregnancy or early after delivery).

  The one we have in DS's room is an oversized rocker/recliner and it's GREAT. We have slept in it many nights- thank God we got something comfy- i can't imagine trying to sleep in one of those gliders ... or even a chair with ottoman b/c you can't recline.

  We just got one for the twin's nursery- it's not as big (short on space in their room) but reclines almost flat and is great support for BF'ing.

  We bought a Best Chair (Mandy) and ottoman and absolutely love it.  I sit in it all the time and read, eat cereal, daydream, etc.  I plan on using it in our family room after baby is grown up.  It's a nice lookign chair, doesn't look like a "nursery chair" at all.

  I personally don't like the "look" of the traditional gliders, I don't like the wood trim.  They are a lot smaller if you are short on room.  My Best chair takes up a LOT of space in our nursery.  I have a pic in bio of my chair.

  I am having a similar problem. I am looking at the mantova best glider but can only find a furniture store that will order it but does not have it on the floor. I can't decide what to do.

  I like the look of the upholstered rocker. It does require more cleaning and upkeep and can be more expensive, but I still like it better. We bought this one:
