Hope everyone is okay with this thread. Not much to do when it's hot out and you kinda feel like a bag of garbage. What TV shows are you currently watching or previously finished. I Feel as if I am out of things to watch. I just finished How To Get Away With Murder and LOVED it!! Also PSA if anyone has not watched SHAMELESS. Please do!!!!
Re: GTKY: TV SERIES
Some of the series that I love are:
How to Get Away with murder, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Outlander, Game Of Thrones, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, sex and the City, This Is Us
That's all I can think of at the moment I'm sure I'll think of more once people starting listening more.
Also anxiously awaiting season 2 of The Crown on Netflix. I'm not embarrassed to say I've watched the entire season twice now.

Stranger Things can't come soon enough. I wonder if I could figure out a stranger things baby announcement...
DH and I watch Below Deck together and for some
one who claims to "hate trash reality shows", he is SUPER into it lol.
@Dumbgurl04 I can't wait for Outlander to come back!
Loved Revenge too!
Orange is the new black (not caught up yet), rewatching Prison Break
I'll go ahead and say i've watched wayyy to much reality tv. I sometimes KUWTK, RH (OC, BH, Potomac and Melborne mostly), Teen Mom (1,2,3) etc. For shame.
@bebber I love Below Deck and Below Deck Med! I'm SOOOOOO glad that Malea is finally getting called out for stringing two guys along, although both guys are behaving like idiots. It's one thing to casually date two different guys in normal life, another thing to try to do that on a freaking yatch when the guys are roommates.
AFM,
GoT, SYTYCD, Below Deck, The Spouse House (it's so horrible that it's good), can't wait for new Stranger Things, Handmaid's Tale (hey @kaymaroo! can't wait for season 2!), Victoria ...
Also watched some of Orphan Black (meh), and Gypsy - which I had to stop watching because I found it really depressing.
Some of my favorite older shows: Dexter, Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, Westworld. I'm sure I'll think of more.

I feel one thing they missed a lot of in the show (even though it was great) was in the book Hannah said a lot through out the tapes how she didn't want to die. That's the thing a lot of people have overlooked. People who are depressed and thinking about suicide aren't going to come right out and say it. They drop very small hints that they think are good enough but they just believe people don't care. There was just more to Hannah in the book and her feelings. After I read the book I saw so much of myself in Hannah (expect for the wanting to kill myself part) but there were times in high school I felt lost and thought nobody cared and stupid rumors got started that just had this snowball effect. Yes I can see how people see this show as something that glorifies suicide, but I don't feel like they are really seeing the whole picture. The show added a lot and I felt it lost some of Hannah's view but still I really liked the show and thought they did a great job of bringing the book to life. I just wish people looked more into it then this girl killed her self and made some tapes.
I have a problem with watching shows/movies if based on a book. I have to read the book first, which is what I'm doing with Outlander at the moment.
Two of my coworkers love Shameless and described it to me... I'm just not sure it's something I would like.
PLL - I was obsessed with this show and then we got rid of cable and I never watched the last season.
I am one of the few who didn't like Stranger Things. DH and I tried to watch it but... eh. We just didn't care or like it after watching 5 episodes.
@peppersmith22 I love Orphan Black. Haven't watched any of this season though.
@lund love Dexter! The ending though... ugh! (And edited to add good decision not to watch it!

Also I'm curious to see what they do with season 2. Because the author of the book brought a 10th anniversary edition of the book. It had the original ending where Hannah lives so I wonder if they would play around with that. Either way I'll be watching.
And yes the 10th anniversary edition of 13 reasons has some special little things here and there from the author on his ideas for the story during writing process and why he went with what we he did. And pretty much the original ending is almost the same as how the book ended but instead of Hannah still being dead someone tells Clay that they just found out that she lived. But it felt like there could be a another book to see what happens to Hannah after that.
