13wks, jalapeno

2) How are you feeling?
Same as last week, extremely tired and nausea in the evenings

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?

Don't know yet. I'm still trying to convince DH to go team green and he is having NONE of it.

Not showing yet.

4) Any appointments this week/last?

Nope, sadly I've still got to wait several weeks.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

Random: I was all excited about starting a Zumba class but come to find out the website was outdated and they don't offer it here. I found one the next town over but all they offer are evening classes and it doesn't suit me very well. Hopefully I can figure something out because I think it looks really fun!

6) GTKY: What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Mint chip or butter pecan.

1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 17 weeks, a cute vintage wallet? (where do they come up with these)

2) How are you feeling? Not a whole lot different than last week. Energy is back but the nausea that comes up in unreal still. At least it isn't constant. Still have some food aversions. Also, when I get up from laying down for a while, all the blood flowing to my boobs makes them hurrrrrrrrrrt. Otherwise, they don't bother me.

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing? Team Green went to Team Finding out. We have an elective ultrasound this weekend to get a sealed envelope. We plan to find out on Saturday August 5th though. I'm excited to know, but bummed we aren't going to wait it out.

4) Any appointments this week/last? I need to do some follow-up blood work Thursday or Friday this week for genetic testing. No other official appointments until August.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? I had to upgrade to new sports bras. Really love the ones I found at the Nordstrom sale. Super comfy and stretchy. Perfect for nursing and pregnant boobs.

6) GTKY: What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? Bubblegum minus the gum pieces. I'm a child. I can't find it anywhere though.

1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 17 weeks! A chipmunk, a tangerine, and one app says avocado basically for all weeks 15-19. Lazy! (Oh and I guess a vintage wallet, lol)

2) How are you feeling? Great and excited! I can’t believe we are all getting into the second trimester and even eyeing 20 weeks! I’ll have days where I randomly puke once in the AM, but I can handle that!

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing? Yes. He’s a boy… and oh god have I started showing. It’s obvious to me but also validated by the fact that random people/casual work acquaintances/cashiers etc. have all started commenting.

4) Any appointments this week/last? I had a for fun elective ultrasound on Monday. So fun seeing him!

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: Just so excited to have another baby! Rant: I’m sort of over DH right now… he’s been so negative about money etc. lately. It’s annoying!

6) GTKY: What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? First, I’m a vegan, so all the ice cream I eat, which is a lot, is dairy free… but I guess cookies and cream, although Ben & Jerry’s vegan line is yet to make a flavor I don’t LOVE.

@GraceUponGrace09 I sincerely hope your fatigue and nausea lessen up for you!

@jakobaby UGH to your nausea. That is no fun at all.

15 weeks and baby is the size of a apple or navel orange.

2) How are you feeling?

As long as I eat small meals and stay away from red meat, life is pretty darn good. I have energy again!

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?

We are having a girl and I think there is a bump there? Some days it looks more "bumpy" then others.

4) Any appointments this week/last?

I have an appointment next week. Just a check up...I think?!

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

Love that I have energy back and am starting to get things cleaned out and organized. Such a great feeling!

6) GTKY: What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Mint chocolate chip or vanilla...but it has to have the little black specks in it!

1) How far along are you? How big is baby?

15w1d today! Baby is 4", same as a travel size stick of deodorant.

2) How are you feeling?
Feeling good after our appointment yesterday! Doppler check was great and they squeezed us back for an ultrasound to see about the sex of the baby! We are going to do a reveal with our friends and family, so the results are sitting in an envelope in my desk drawer. AHHHH! Waiting will be hard, but I am really looking forward to celebrating with everyone.

3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?

See #2. Showing is debatable. I can still dress to hide and have always carried a little extra, so probably hard for people to decipher if I am carrying a baby or extra tacos. Am thinking that in the next two weeks, it will be more definitive.

4) Any appointments this week/last?

See # 2. Next appts are week of August 21. Will see both the OB and the MFM that week. Will do AS with MFM.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I am just grateful every day that I get to be pregnant. I am fortunate to not have had any really harsh symptoms and I am really enjoying watching my body and the baby grow.

6) GTKY: What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Locally made is Caramel Swirl - there is an ice cream parlor here that has been around for nearly 100 years. Their ice cream is so much better than anything in the stores.
Commercially available is probably Ben & Jerry's Mint Cookie. That's been my jam lately.

@bbeaman I love to check out this site for size comparisons: www.babysizer.com. They have four categories and they're fun and a little different like the link @jakobaby posted!

@EmilyLove25 If randoms have started to comment, have you had anyone offer the uninvited touch yet? I am wondering how I will react when that happens....

@jakobaby I too wanted to be Team Green, but (like @GraceUponGrace09) DH was having none of it. Our compromise was to have it sealed until a later date also. What are your plans for the 5th? Having friends and family join in or just y'all?

@GraceUponGrace09 Do you plan on letting the ultrasound tech tell you in the appointment or will y'all hold off to reveal at a later time?

@fivetimesnoluck We haven't decided yet. I've always thought reveal parties were a touch AW-ish and unnecessary but my BFF really wants to give us one. If I let her it'll just be her plus immediate family, which isn't much locally - 1 sibling on DH's side and 2 on mine. We were team green last time and I can't decide if I want to find out in private or do something special with our kids or if the reveal sounds fun. I won't find out until 20wks so we've got some time to decide.
I liked your take on reveal parties the other day! How are you going to do it?

@slipaustin OMG yay! A fellow vegan! That is DEF my favorite of the B&Js flavors too... are you raising your LO vegan? My husband, a meat eater, and I compromised, so I am raising my children vegetarian until they are old enough to chose!

@fivetimesnoluck we have plans to visit DH's family in MD that weekend as a rain check because DS was sick for our previous plans. MIL is constantly asking if we've made the decision to find out or not. In fact, she called me this morning to tell me all the reasons we should find out and that the family is excited to know.

There are plans to see the majority of DH's family at his Grandmom's for a casual pool gathering. We are going to just spring it on them then. No one will suspect because they think we have to wait until August 17th for the a/s. SIL is the only one that knows we are planning this.

We have the elective u/s planned for this weekend. Invited my parents and my best friend to join. The catch is that only my friend will be told the sex of this kiddo. She is in charge of giving me the right 'confetti canon' to pack with us.

My parents are going to find out via Facetime when we do the confetti with DH's family.

EmilyLove25 My SO is a meat eater too and we have decided that I will only make our child vegan food and if he wants to make them non-vegan stuff he can. Then when they are old enough they can decide what they want to eat. But definitely no garbage like McDonalds, etc. So yes, we are the same!

@graceupongrace09 we haven't determined yet exactly the way we will do the reveal, but we have planned a get together for August 19, so we have time to decide!
Sounds like doing something small with family and involving your children could be really sweet!

@jaokbaby sounds fun! Our results will be known only by the couple hosting us. So glad you'll be able to include the whole family. Technology comes in handy sometimes!
