R/R: TMI, but I felt like I was in the midst of a battlefield this morning when I went potty. I've had "Love Is A Battlefield" stuck in my head all morning because of it.
CS/Q: So, it occurred to me that when I was on BC and had an US for pelvic pains, my lining was 7 mm. It also occurred to me that your lining isn't supposed to really thicken/grow while on BC, hence why your periods can be lighter or non-existent (the bleeding is from hormonal changes, not from the lining thickening); it's supposed to change the lining so that even if it fails to stop you from releasing an egg, it's that much harder for a potentially fertilized egg to implant.
Is it possible that my body has been growing lining this whole time I've been on BC, and that's why my period is so incredibly heavy? (And, by all means, this may apply to others who have super heavy periods post-BC.) It was just something I thought of yesterday afternoon, and it got me curious.

@izza2 I had a Mirena IUD, like @nitnat007 I only had very light spotting occasionally. I know hormonal swings coming off of birth control can definitely lead to weird bleeding.

Rant: I'm having lunch with some ladies who requested I mentor them. They recently started their own staging business. I am still at odds with myself on whether I should do it because I wish someone had helped me understand this business more or I shouldn't because they may end up being competition.
CS/Q: I'm so new to this BBT thing. Is it possible I O'd on CD 12 and am just waiting for crosshairs? My temps haven't varied that much but it lines up with fertile signs.

The first post on my newsfeed was yet another pregnancy announcement. Ugh. Guess I'll be keeping away from fb again for a while. I think this brings the total count of people I know who are pregnant or have new babies to 16.
CS/Q: Nope. MH and I were drinking last night (moscow mules, yum!), so my temp this morning was all wonky. Still too early for O though. I'll start using opks tomorrow.

@dukestar5 Im no good with a real gif tutorial but if you search for gifs (the easiest place for newbies is giphy) you can copy the link from there and paste it into the icon in your banner (when you are typing your response) with the mountains and the little sun. Click on in and paste the gif link in the drop down. hit enter and it will be in your draft.
@SkilledSailor Yay for getting your hair did! I think helping people is great, but yes, beware competition. Maybe keep some secret sauce for yourself. Its possible you o'ed but it will be hard to tell with the temps at this point because of the pre O high temps. Going by your other signs, that o date looks valid. But of course keep charting in case you were just gearing to o and havent really. So far your monitor seems to be saying low, right?

I'm on mobile and suck at mobile tagging, but I wish I was painting something artsy! We're actually redoing a friend's house who moved to Florida so he can sell it, so I've been painting the inside over the week. I finished the kitchen so we're putting new cabinets in tomorrow, spackling some spots, and then painting the hallway while that dries. Eventually we'll put new flooring throughout.

@SkilledSailor Not sure about Sunday, I kind of want to try heading into the city to the museum or zoo just to get out of the house for a bit. But it's SOOO hot here. Your hair sounds beautiful. I can see both sides of your mentoring situation. Are they really close, would they be competing directly with your for the same houses or are they in a slightly different area?
@darkstar42 Oh man, I know what you mean about facebook. A bunch of my friends have commented that I haven't posted much recently, but between those announcements and political stuff, I just don't have it in me anymore for social media. On a lighter now, Yay moscow mules! Do you guys have those cute copper glasses for them? You make me want to buy some vodka for Sunday afternoon. And pineapple juice actually sounds quite yummy. I wonder about Pom juice too. I've been adding that to my white wine spritzers and it's pretty good.
@ella26 I really hate their software. I've just been using their recorded temps and putting it in FF. So basically it's just a shit-tastic expensive BBT for me. Ha. Though the HR stuff is interesting, my resting heart rate is so erratic (spend a big portion of my life dehydrated due to my job) that I don't know if I'll be able to see a clear shift in HR.

So WOMP WOMP, my estrogen is high, so I have to go in Sunday for an u/s and repeat BW as I may have a cyst. Its hard though since my estrogen is often higher than normal so we will see.

@izza2 oh my gosh, you are a saintly friend, that is quite a lot of work you've already accomplished. There's something really satisfying about home improvement projects. Here's hoping it's not too hot though! Would love to know what you find out from your research. I had really heavy and long periods with my IUD which I have traded in for a sports period that short and light. Way happier about that. This stuff is all so fascinating.

I think in your case it's great to mentor them on professional behavior and more general skills but the real insider stuff, the stuff you worked so hard to understand, I think you can keep that to yourself no?
@darkstar42 YES on the avoiding FB. It's been a minefield for me lately. I want to be more supportive of folks who've gotten pregnant. For sure it feels like they just stumbled right into it, but maybe they've struggled as much as I have... but then again it just eats at me when I see another announcement. So avoidance!
@dukestar5 I used to love planning big events, especially anything requiring flowers. For some reason my wedding just took that out of me. It sounds really fabulous though!
