@pebbledam I had a corpus luteum cyst on one ovary, so she's assuming I ovulated. I'm a little crampy right now, but I've had cramps on and off for a few days. I'm still hoping today's the day. Last Monday she said from the looks of everything I would have a period in the next ten days. If I don't get it tomorrow, I'm calling her back.

@jsnakehole - It sounds like when you say there's "literally no reason" for you to be having a long cycle is actually that you ovulated later than expected. Are you temping? Were you able to pinpoint O?

@pebbledam I didn't temp this cycle. I was actually going to start temping when AF showed up. My doctor said that I probably ovulated later than I thought I did. I meant that there was no hormonal imbalance or other reason for AF to be late, which I'm grateful for. It's just an annoyance.

@izza2 , like @fishsticks-n-custard, I have a couple of professional FB groups that I'm in that I enjoy but it's not set up anywhere near as organized as TTGP. Because of FB's new algorithm, it's hard for their groups to be super well organized because threads get moved around based on popularity, not chronologically. I don't know how that would work for such a structured page like you were talking about.
@jsnakehole Sorry you cycle is being wonky. Hopefully AF comes soon and next cycle is smoother.
Thanks ladies. You all are amazing and I really appreciate all the support. This sucks, it's really really hard, and we (DH & I) hurt so badly. I'm so grateful we have so many good memories and we're so thankful for the time we had him in our lives. It's like we lost a big part of our family. I know it'll get easier with time and that all the emotions are normal. It just sucks. I know he's finally at peace. But that only helps so much.

I got it, of course in the middle of teaching. And on the day I need a bare butt for assle-twirling. But at least now I'm getting it over with before DH comes home on the 8th.

So the last day of the bar exam is today, and it allegedly ends at 5pm but probably not actually until 6pm. The test center is literally right next to the 49ers Levi Stadium, and at 6:30pm tonight there's some sort of sold out soccer situation (great...as if traffic won't already blow that time of day). They let people start parking at the stadium at 1:30pm (it's 1:45pm), and I am currently in a random parking lot across the street because DH and I ate lunch in the car. I obviously have a minimum of 3 hours to kill, so I was going to see a movie, but as I was about to drive out I realized they've barricaded 99% of the exits so that new people can't come park because no one wants to be the over flow lot for the soccer festivities. DH is not allowed a cell phone in the exam so I have no way to contact him if I can't get back to this meeting place. .............am I just fucking stuck in this parking lot the rest of the day? Wtaf?
@looeeze lololololol. Maybe? He studied 35% of what he was supposed to because he's been working 14+ hour days with no weekends since may. He's basically banking on what he maaaybe remembers from NY two years ago (which might work for today's material, but definitely will not have for yesterday's which was all CA specific). We would've bailed on him even taking it, but! They don't let you! And it costs .....wait for it..... $1400 just to take the exam (not including study materials), so I was like, nope, you're at least going to see if luck is on your side. So.... fingers crossed? Lawd, oh lawd, please don't make me do this again in February.
@doxiemoxie212 I hope you made it out of the parking lot! Lol
@jsnakehole I love the idea of wearing white to flush out AF, she loves to ruin a good white pair of shorts! Glad you get to finally start a new cycle.
We had two kids with head lice this week at camp, so now I'm paranoid I have lice. I just freaked out because I saw white stuff in my hair- totally forgetting that I sprayed my hair with tons of hair spray to protect it from the lice.

@doxiemoxie212 That is an awfully long wait! I fully expect to hear that you read every single post and reply on this page today. In all seriousness, I hope YH did well and you do not have to suffer through that again. In other news, did you enjoy your trip and birthday festivities in wine country?
@jsnakehole -- Glad you get to start a new cycle (and before YH comes home!), but sorry it started while teaching.
@dukestar5 napa and birthday festies are tomorrow! But I'll keep y'all posted (I'm sure we'll have fun though, we go up with my mom like 2-3 times a year, and my 92-year-old great aunt is coming with us this time!)
And I totally feel you on the cost of those tests. Oral boards (which was #5 of 5 I had to take) was $1200 (not including travel and lodging and prep materials/courses). Fingers crossed for your hubbie.
Also, and this is truly random so I guess it goes here: I've seen people post saying that got stuck in the quote box and couldn't get out. I just wanted to say, if that ever happens to anyone, just go to the code portion of the text box by clicking on the </> button. Go to the end of the text that's there and type <br> then go back to the normal text box. Bam. You'll be able to get out of the quote.

does anyone have any good ideas for a fourth wedding anniversary gift? Fruit or flowers; Wtf? (I don't reaaaaally care about it fitting the theme but I think it's fun if I can find a good gift within the confines; for instance, I got DH tickets to see aziz for the "paper" anniversary)
@doxiemoxie212 For fruit, are you guys an Apple house? An Apple gadget would be the easiest, but I could not tell you which one because we are an uncool Android/Linux family. For flowers, you can't go wrong with a whale and a bowl of petunias.
@_darth ughghgh I'm an Apple person but DH loathes them. That's such a good idea for an apple person though! Maybe I should hint that to him for me.... lol. And that's such a cute print, but DH has soooooo much "art" (I mean, it's art, but nerdy poster prints...not like, fancy paintings) that is unframed that I cannot justify more prints. It's like every time Mondo has a sale he buys more isht. Ugh but such good ideas!
btw, is your username star wars related or something else?
@doxiemoxie212 I totally get it. We have a moratorium on geek decor as well. When we hit peak junk capacity, we had 3 Darth Vader toasters. It was a bit much. Ooh, if YH is an Apple hater, maybe a Raspberry Pi kit would be a more suitable fruit-based electronic device? I gave DH one with some SNES-style controllers for a RetroPie. It was a huge hit.
And yeah, my username is Star Wars related. I like it a bit too much (but not 3 toasters' worth).
@_darth do you want to know a secret (you know, just between you and me and all the hundreds of people who participate and/or lurk this forum)? I think DH married me because my parents worked on the original movies. DH is covered in Star Wars tats.... so, like, more than 3 toasters worth.
Raspberry pi! That's a cute idea! You should be a professional gift finder...
@lalala2004 my dad worked on two of the first ones, and I think my mom has worked on all? Stranger danger and all since they're on IMDb I guess I should leave it at that? Lol
@doxiemoxie212 and @_darth MH is a huge nerd and the decor in the first floor bedroom of our house (which originally was the man-cave, and now MH also has the entire two-car garage filled with 40k stuff) is covered in paintings, posters, swords, and signed autographs. I try not to let the stuff creep all over the house but there currently is a giant sword sitting against the wall in our living room and we have two dragon pictures in there as well as several dragon sculptures. He is lucky that I like dragons. @doxiemoxie212 That is so cool about your parents!
@zamora_spin I feel the pain. In the long long ago, I worked at GW. There were blister packs all over my life. I would dig into my purse, and pull out 3 arms and a head. These days we have 6 Warmachine armies between us, so it's a bit more reasonable. If you are ever looking for a gift for YH that is secretly a gift for you, Battlefoam makes the best bags/organisers for minis, hands down. They have army-specific foam trays, and you can customise the ones that go in your bag. https://us.battlefoam.com (Haha! I guess I really am a gift finder )
@doxiemoxie212 I AM Jealous! Do you happen to know if it's true that the original trilogy was as good as it was because of the editing by Lucas' first wife? I heard that the wit was largely due to her.
@zamora_spin I second what @_darth said. Battle Foam really has the best cases and organisers. I'm constantly begging DH to buy some. Right now he stores everything in plastic bins.
@_darth That's really cool that you used to work at GW. DH plays AOS, co-hosts a podcast, and we run several AOS events at a convention in March every year.
