@TInman87 Like @KatieEl said, everyone carries differently. I have a friend that didn't even start SHOWING until she was 7 months pregnant, for both of her pregnancies. I immediately gained 10lbs in both my pregnancies and tend to gain more weight than others. Everyone is different ;)

Sleeping blows right now. And DH decided we should start carpooling, which we should but whatever, I usually finally fall into a good sleep at 4, he leaves at 5:30 and then I sleep till 7, take DS to daycare. But noooo. Today I had to get up at 5:20 so my good sleep was for an hour or so. I'm so over even trying to sleep.

@Dani0329 and @agalvarado - also in Georgia. And as everyone always says, it's not the heat, but the humidity! UGH. Personally, I am just grateful I am not in the third trimester right now. That would be miserable!

    @KatieEl @missblaze im 5'4" thanks for the reassurance :)

@TInman87 5'4" and depending on your torso there may just not be a ton or room for baby to grow. Plus some people bump out early and then stabilize for a bit. As long as you're not uncomfortable, I'd practice my come-backs to rude people and roll with it!

The last few days I've been having spells of extreme lightheadedness followed by a hot flash. Anyone else have this and know what it is?
  • Options
Today I am having all of the feels of pregnancy. I'm 15w,6d.

I started this morning with a light headache. I chose to drink my breakfast smoothie to see if it passed, it did.

I have full on congestion from pregnancy rhinitis. I mean I can blow my nose and within seconds of tossing the tissue, I can blow again. Oh & the post nasal drip along with not being able to breath. Whew! I'm using the Xlear Saline Spray (all natural remedy) while it provides relief for a few but its no match for the production of mucus my body makes. Zyrtec caused dry mouth.

After lunch during my second trip to expel waste (TMI) I had the biggest glob of cervical mucus. It's NOT my mucus plug. I was so shocked but it's no wonder I'm truly producing tons of mucus AND in 2nd trimester bodily secretions increase. Note: I use FAM (Fertility Awareness Method) so I'm in the habit of checking my cervical mucus often & believe that's how I'm able to identify it.

Gas Bubbles. It feels like little bubbles running across my belly. Not cramps just Bubbles or that how I can describe it.

I needed all the encouragement today, I'm sitting at work I've eaten balanced,  I'm staying hydrated, but I'm having ALL the pregnancy feels.

It's SO WORTH it as a FTM, but I hope I'm not alone today I just feel BLAH.

@samsmommy6515 I get this a lot too. As your blood volume increases it's normal. It happens when I stand up too fast or if I'm on my feet too long. I want to say your blood volume increases 40% when pregnant, so that's a lot of extra oxygen you need. Just make sure to stay extra hydrated. It's worth having to pee every 30 minutes to not have the dizzy spells. Good news is that they should only last a few weeks, then stabilize!

While walking I had a super sharp pain on my lower left side. It was enough to make me walk lightly. I think it's passed. Anyone else have this? Doesn't feel like a cramp. Could this be the "stretching" OR round ligament pain I've read about? It's NOT accompanied by discharge of any kind.

I did MODIFIED Zumba last night for the first time in months. I had to walk fast in the pouring rain, other than that usual day.

@ccromwell1908 yep, sounds like RLP! Mine are very sharp and painful but only for a few seconds. Totally normal.

Thank you @schaze, so glad I have this club to bounce off of. I was walking like ummm what's this? Totally gone now and I'm home.

@Samsmommy6515 This has been happening to me too for a couple of weeks. I'm 15 weeks on Friday. I find if I make sure I'm really good about drinking water it helps, but if I slack the lightheadedness and feeling hot is pretty bad.

I'm 17 weeks and so freakin exhausted all the time. It's an effort to keep myself moving. I'm having a weird pain in one of my butt muscles lately. And my feet hurt everyday probably from my non supportive shoes.

My all day nausea is gone but along with some of you, I still gag or throw up in the morning while brushing my teeth.

I have acid like crazy, I carry tums with me every where I go. I it's constantly feel like my esophagus is on fire.

Annnd headches, I stay on top my water consumption yet still end most days with an evening headache.

@hmlynch84 the weird butt pain may be sciatica pain.
  • Options
WHAT is lightening crotch? I'm terrified.

I am on team sore/itchy boobs (I think my nipples grew 3 sizes, then shed their skins. I'm all scabby and soooo sore.) I am also on team sniss. Had to wipe it off a chair once. D: Glad I'm not alone on that, my mother said it wasn't supposed to happen until after delivery. I think she's just forgotten, her youngest child is 28 years old.

Also, TMI!!! This is a new one for me, I had a sciatica-like nerve-y pain on my left side radiating down the front of my leg, and a strong feeling of having to poop (for like hours, even after pooping like eight times). I was at my doctor's office for a follow up anyway, so I asked her to check it out. She says baby is low and on my left side and is compressing a nerve in my hip that causes both the pain and the "bowel pressure". So I'm sitting with my feet up today at work to try to take the pressure off.

Anyone else have a sore vagina? Sorry if TMI but owwee!!!  It feels like I had sex 10 times yesterday  I just googled  and it turns out it's normal... extra blood flow + ligaments stretching, etc.  But ouch!

@hmlynch84, sounds like sciatica. Google it- there are some great stretches that can help.

@auntieraindrop the front of the leg pain started for me today, only when im standing or walking. Every mom in my office says it's sitting on my nerve that runs down my leg. Let the fun begin!

I've had the sciatic nerve pain in my butt on and off for a couple of weeks! I did some research and talked to my doctor and found out that it's more likely Pelvic Girdle Pain  - caused by your pelvis moving and baby weight putting pressure on it. "During pregnancy, you may feel aches and pains in your pelvis and back, but these are unlikely to be related to the sciatic nerve. They are more likely to be caused by pelvic girdle pain (PGP), which is much more common and has some of the same symptoms as sciatica." I found this page super helpful and informational : https://www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/patients/patient-information-leaflets/pregnancy/pi-pelvic-girdle-pain-and-pregnancy.pdf

RLP! Lots of crazy stuff is happening in there! Pretty painful, hope it eases up soon. Heard baby's heartbeat for the first time yesterday on a doppler and it was so amazing!!!! Had to share that.

Woke up with a huge lump in my boob. I'm not too worried about it as it feels like a clogged milk duct, or a cyst, but dang this pregnancy has my hormones doing crazy things to my body.
  • Options
DD dropped her last nursing session yesterday and now my boobs are so sore. Not full or anything, just sore.

Pelvic pressure :(  Yesterday my vagina was 'achy' (like I had way too much sex in one day!) and then last night I started to notice pelvic pressure. I'm a little freaked out this is happening so early.. but everything I read online says it's normal.  Either way, very thankful I have an appt today to discuss with OB. Along with the little gush of fluid I felt yesterday morning while exercising

Holy gas and bloat.  :s Every time I eat I get so uncomfortable! And the headaches....

I'm having my third baby. I feel pretty stuffed already. I feel like I'm way too big already. Sure a few lbs might be from my first tri all carb diet but I think a lot of it is my uterus. Also so tired, sometimes a hangover feeling, and of course usually pretty hungry.

SUPER bad nausea this morning. For you ladies who have done this before, when nausea subsides in the second trimester, does it go all at once or gradually? I've been feeling MUCH better the last few days, but today I feel awful.
  • Options
@auntieraindrop I would still have a day thrown in every now and then where I felt like absolute garbage. I had a really good week last week, but the last 2 days were miserable. Now I'm back to being fine.

@supercoolstephyUgh, your sleeping situation sounds awful. I'm doing okay sleep wise but have dealt with insomnia for a large portion of my adult life... all I can think about now every morning when my alarm goes off is how I cannot wait for it to be the weekend, so I don't have to get up for work...  but frankly DD still gets up early often so ugh. I want more sleep--but I REALLY hope you get some!

@auntieraindrop with DD, I felt sick until maybe 17 or 18w. It was very gradual, but it did come back at times in 3rd tri.

@auntieraindrop I had no shortage of nausea for any of my 3 pregnancies. I have been feeling better at almost 16 weeks but felt bad last night. Each time it seems to wax and wane toward the end. I remember I still threw up and peed my pants at 16 weeks with my second baby.  Then around 18-20 weeks there were days I felt ok. Then finally I moved on to a new set of symptoms.

Does anyone else have crazy dreams every night?? Mine are SO vivid that sometimes they scare me!

Also, I've always had sensitive skin but the last few weeks have been awful - I have eczema-like flare ups all the time now...I get super itchy on my back, neck, boobs, and even my eyes swelled up last week! It's driving me crazy! I moisturize constantly with hypoallergenic lotion but it only does so much. Any recommendations??

@auntieraindrop  I had terrible all day nausea from 6 to 14 weeks...then I would feel great for a day or two and then like crap again...back and forth for probably a week and then it pretty much went away! Just some slight nausea here and there if I don't eat enough. Hoping you feel better soon!

I threw up and peed my pants at about 11 or 12 weeks. Horrifying! I'm glad I'm not alone!
