Disney Rides?

we are heading to Disneyland tomorrow with two little ones. I have checked out the list of rides with pregnancy warnings, and was curious of your thoughts of the Radiator Springs Racers? I mean, it goes 40 miles an hour but so does my car. What do you think? (And after reading opinions about Splash Mountain, I've decided against it.)

Re: Disney Rides?

  • The Cars ride does start and stop a lot so it kinda jerks you around, similar to Test Track at Epcot. And I believe it has a lap bar or seat belt, so that would scare me going full speed to a quick stop that throws you forward a bit into the bar/belt. Basically, it's not a smooth ride IMO. At least Splash Mountain is a little smoother of a ride because it's on water, but I wouldn't want to do the free fall stuff. I've been thinking about going to Disneyland again soon but I was also going through my head thinking about the rides. Hope you have a good time!  :)

  • We had a trip planned to Disney World for this November but ended up cancelling because I wasn't sure about what rides I could do and save for the baby.

If you're questioning a ride, I'd skip it. Rather safe then sorry!

  • Cool website @KatieEl ! Since it says not to go on Test Track, I'd say you shouldn't go on the Cars ride at California Adventure either @LHC2011
  • I went to disneyland in June when i was about 6-7 weeks pregnant, and basically listened to the list - if it recommended pregnant women not go on it, i didn't. the only one i did go on that was "questionable" was the pirates of the caribbean ride (there's the small drop that some women online said that they wouldn't risk being bumped against the safety bar, but i was expecting it and had padded it with my backpack and a hoodie.

Radiator Racer Springs looked like it was going pretty fast, so i felt better skipping it.

    have a great time! :)
  • I went on Radiator Springs in May the week before I found out I was pregnant. They have seatbelts (rather than a lap bar) but like some other said, it's pretty jerky. As much of a bummer as it is I would skip it :( I'm going to DisneyWorld in September & am bummed I can't ride all the rides so I know how you feel! haha
