AMA Checkin 7/23/17

sorry I forgot to do this thread last week. I am totally going to blame it on pregnancy brain. Thursday I realized I forgot to do it.

1) how far along are you?

2) any appointments this week?

3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes.

4) what are you looking forward to?

5) gtky:  how are you trying to beat the summer heat?

Re: AMA Checkin 7/23/17

  • 1) how far along are you? 30w6, panic is starting to set in that everything is not set up yet.

    2) any appointments this week? Yep Thursday. It is the first of my every two week appointment

    3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes.  Just tired all the time and I am uncomfortable when I try to sleep. Could be worse.

    4) what are you looking forward to?  I an ultrasound on the 31st and I am looking forward to seeing the baby again.

    5) gtky:  how are you trying to beat the summer heat? We have been staying inside as much as possible. Today is the first day in a week the temperature has not been 100 degrees. Although the heat index is still suppose to get up there. One day this week I shut the door to my office and turned off the lights so the temperature would drop two degrees

  • @Hopefulmommy1980 no worries! I'll blame it on my pregnancy brain that I didn't notice you didn't do it last week!

    1) how far along are you?
    34w2d

    2) any appointments this week?
Yes, weekly ultrasound and OB appt on Thursday.

    3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes.
I'm sleeping terribly and I wake up in the morning with sore ribs/back. Fortunately the soreness goes away by late morning.

    4) what are you looking forward to?
Meeting baby! The stress of a high risk pregnancy being over. Red wine.

    5) gtky:  how are you trying to beat the summer heat?
Mostly just minimizing outside time on really hot days and using the AC. Also taking showers before bed. We had a string of hot and really humid days last week, but this week looks like it will be much more pleasant.
  • 1) how far along are you? 32w3d

    2) any appointments this week? Regular biweekly appt on Fri

    3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes. Hot, tired, cranky

    4) what are you looking forward to? Cooler temps this week!

    5) gtky:  how are you trying to beat the summer heat? Staying indoors in the a/c a lot. Drinking lots of iced water.
  • 1) how far along are you? 34+1

    2) any appointments this week? NST on Wednesday and appt with midwife on Thurs.

    3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes. I feel ok for 34 weeks with twins. I can't move fast, my right foot swells if I'm not sitting with my feet up, and I'm out of breath easily. And sleeping is tough. I'm lucky I make it out of the house ever. It totally wears me out.

    4) what are you looking forward to? Clearly I haven't been active at all this summer, and I really miss playing outside with my kids. I can't wait to get back to that. Can't wait to sleep flat again, and not get the reflux and get out of breath climbing stairs.  Of course I'm excited to meet these babies. There's some anxiety about the birth and afterwards, but I'm more excited than nervous.

    5) gtky:  how are you trying to beat the summer heat? Like previously mentioned, I don't leave the house much. The AC is always on for me and my kids sometimes freeze. DH stated the other day that I'm never cold. Nope. No, I'm not. Crank that AC.

  • 1) how far along are you? 30 Weeks 6 Days

    2) any appointments this week? Dr Appointment for regular check and getting NST's scheduled.

    3) how are you feeling? Any raves, concerns, or gripes. Feeling pretty good. Tired when I wake up as having sort of restless sleep. My GD numbers are doing pretty good now that I am on insulin. Getting both nervous and excited that I am roughly 9 weeks from having a baby (if not earlier). Also looking forward to meeting with my dr's over the next few weeks to figure out when they would expect the little one might come.

Funny...our arm reach sleeper arrived last night. I just wanted to see how big it was (bigger than I expected by the way) so I had my husband put it together...but he got super motivated and decided to move the bed (we have a queen size bed in a SMALL room) to make room for it and re layout our bedroom...which was sweet...but also means I have many many pre baby weeks of not being able to properly sit and get out of bed..instead I have to ease my way to the end of the bed and get out (which gets a bit old for the 3rd time of peeing in the night).

    4) what are you looking forward to? Having a better plan in place for baby. Also getting my house sorted out before baby.

    5) gtky:  how are you trying to beat the summer heat? Pontooning, staying inside, going by the lake (lake breeze), dresses/flipflops, ice cream or frozen yogurt, fans at night, etc.
