I totally failed at cleaning yesterday. I swear I'll get more done today.
But first, I'm going to the chiropractor. Then to the city to shop for pieces for my burlesque show. I'm going to what my teacher described as a 'stripper supply store,' so I'm pretty excited to see what I find. I'm also going to pick out rhinestones and tassels for my first ever self-made pair of pasties!

@jsnakehole That sounds like a fun day! Do you dance at a club?
I'm on my way to the gym, then grocery shopping and the farmers market. I know. So exciting. Just living the dream.. I think tomorrow we will go to the Fine Arts museum - there's a Mexican art exhibit H wants to see.
I'm starting at the swirly gif for a bit longer, then going to the wave pool. I may take a hike to look for a stick for a wall hanging, depending on how hot it gets.
@jsnakehole Burlesque sounds amazing, and I am jealous of the stripper supply store.
@jsnakehole. Love it- "stripper supply store." Best of luck with finding supplies & making your own! @dukestar5. I have a special place in my belly for PW food. You have mass amounts of self-control of you waited until today to eat any! @SkilledSailor. Gallery walls are awesome! I have no sense of styling, though, so mine would probably look like a store shelf after Black Friday.
I just went to a yoga class for the first time in ages, and it was really fun! With MH's new job, I finally feel like I can afford things like exercise classes again. Which is great, because I'm rubbish at motivating myself to exercise alone.
@jsnakehole I'm sure you've explained this before, but how did you get into burlesque? I always love seeing performances and am so impressed that you do this!
I've got my rhinestones and my tassels! I even found a perfect skirt for my costume in Forever 21 (why does Forever 21 love silver lamé so much this season?). Now I'm heading to the stripper store to find my bottom layer of costume.
As for how I got started in burlesque, @darkstar42
Way back in college, I had to write a paper on a form of physical theater. One of the suggestions was burlesque, and I loved the movie 'Gypsy.' Another girl actually ended up writing about the striptease side of burlesque, so I focused on the slapstick comedy side in my presentation. In my research I found out that burlesque was still going on in NY and there was even a school of burlesque.
Four years later, I had free time and some money to spend so I took a beginner class and performed in a group number. Then I took another class and made a solo by myself outside of the class. I took some time off from performing because life got crazy, but with my husband deployed I had time to go back. I've been back in the burlesque scene since January and I love it.

My random.. totally planned on being lazy and getting the house and laundry back in order before we go back to work Monday. Till I got dragged out for one last vacay outting... bowling. I played nice and went. Now I'm back on the couch for the next day and a half (well except for that laundry).

(I think that might cancel out my morning run though )
@dukestar5 Um those sound delicious! Totally worth cancelling out the run.
I'm babysitting all day. I can't wait to get home and finish our gallery wall we started last night. It's pretty epic at 8ft wide and 3.5 feet tall.
