We were supposed to go see a fireworks display last night, and it started storming and raining cats and dogs literally 5 minutes after we had alteady left our home to go to the display, then we arrived to find everybody leaving because it had been cancelled ;(
Oh no that sucks. My 4th started off well but then ended weirdly for me. Anyone else's SO weird about letting other male family members kiss your children? H doesn't feel comfortable with the Grandfather's (really any male family member) kissing S and he said something to my Dad yesterday at the cookout. He wasn't mean about it but it was still super uncomfortable, and I feel bad for my dad.
@Ladybug2821 It weirds me out! They never kiss her on her lips.. usually on the top of her head or cheek but I don't like it. I'm fine with my husband, myself, or my mom or his mom kissing her but that's it haha
My BF is my husband. He has been constantly saying how he misses my old legs and butt. I use to be very muscular and had great muscular legs and butt. Now he thinks I'm too skinny and always makes jokes about how my legs and butt use to give him chest pains. He keeps wanting me to go to the gym with him to get them back. No matter how many times I explain that I like my skinner self! He says I look like a 12 year old boy. Of course I know he's joking and I do have thick skin.. but it's starting to get to me
@fitlady21 He only kisses her head so that is why it doesn't bother me. I think I will say only me and H can do it because I don't want to just single out the Grandfather's. She has 1 uncle which honestly she may never meet. Girl, my butt has totally disappeared, like ran off lol. My legs have also gotten super skinny too because I lost all of the muscle I had. Those comments would eventually piss me off too even if I knew H was joking. I would tell him to stop and get over it because I'm happy with my current body. Plus when do we have time for the gym??
Maybe we're oddballs, but we're a hugging and kissing family. My brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, all give the kids kisses, and we're a-okay with it as long as nobody is sick or anything like that. But everybody is different. I distinctly remember people thinking it was weird the my siblings and I hug and kiss each other on the cheeks. We've just always been a close and affectionate bunch.
I lost a LOT of leg and booty too after Jimmy was born. I gained a lot more than I ever had with Johnny though, so I got the size back, and now they are almost back to my ideal shape since I've been doing those Brazil Butt Lift videos after wee man was born. FI never made comments about me being too skinny after Jimmy until I already got pregnant with Johnny and gained some back haha I was very small when we first met though, so it isn't like it was new to him, he just preferred them after I bulked them up a bit. And so did I, it really does make your waist look so much better and jeans fit better
I kinda laid off that rigid diet and exercise routine, and somehow I've been getting into better shape faster without it. I don't think I needed a fraction of the meat and protein I was forcing down myself.
I freak about anyone kissing V and have bit my tongue before when FIL smootched her. I dont know how to address it without hurting feelings. @Ladybug2821 Just curious the wording H used about kissing S to your Dad. I'm trying to make it the least awkward possible.
Annnd AF reared her ugly head this evening. It was a nice run not bleeding for the last 18 months. The past couple weeks I've cut back on pumping and BFing while increasing formula and solids so that explains it.
@brzvice He basically said that he didn't feel comfortable with other men kissing his daughter. He wasn't mean, just blunt. But I don't like it because I know my Dad is probably thinking WTF, especially since he has been kissing her on her head for 8 months now. I also don't want my Dad to feel bad about it and need to explain to him that it is not just against him, that H feels that way about his Dad also, and any other man for that matter (ie. uncles). I haven't had a chance to call him though and I'm feeling pretty anxious about it. But because of this I'm now thinking that we establish a blanket rule and say no one except H and I can kiss her. I don't want her to wonder why does grandma kiss me but grandpa doesn't. This is just so annoying.
AF sucks!!! I've had mine since 4 months pp and it has been pretty regular. Well not this month and I'm worried. I know it can be irregular pp especially while still BF, but I'm freaking out on the inside (I hope this doesn't offend anyone). Oh but some advice, if you notice that your supply decreases even more when you have it, try the Calcium/Mag supplement. It has helped me greatly.
Are yalls LO STTN? I haven't gotten AF back and I'm guessing it's because she's still nursing 1-2 times a night. I've cut back pumping at work to only 2times a day.
Yeah for the most part she is. Recently she's been sleeping until 6/6:30 and I would assume she was ready to be up for the day. But after about 15 mins she was acting sleepy and would get fussy way before it was nap time. So I'm going to start coming in her room like its nighttime and change her/nurse her and lay her back down. I'm thinking she'll probably go back to sleep until 7/7:30. I guess I wouldn't call that a MOTN nursing because I think she only wakes up because she pooped.

So, I've been down in the dumps. Over the last week I've been hit with sudden vision and cognitive impairments. Then the left side of my body started getting numb and tingly so I made an appointment with my doctor on the 10th but couldn't be seen til the 11th. When I saw my doctor he sent me straight to the ER for a CT scan because he was worried I might have had a stroke or was having a 'pre stroke'. Well, ER found ziltch on the CT scan, said I'm just stressed out, and sent me on my way with vitamins and anxiety meds. Made a follow up with my doc for Tuesday. Been taking the vitamin, but I can't take the other medicine- I did the first day and it seriously knocked me out like a tranq, and I'm already feeling dizzy, disoriented, nauseous, and numb enough without that crap. I know stress really CAN do crazy things to a person's body, but I have been sooo much more stressed out than I have been lately. I literally feel like I'm 'dumber' right now, if that makes any sense. I am so out of it and can hardly think straight. On top of it my body feels so weak on the left side, and I'm so tired and dizzy I can't deal with this guys, I have too many kids, too much homework, and generally too much shit to do. I went to a specialist in the city yesterday for a blood screen and I'm just not feeling real optimistic. Especially now that I'm going numb in my right arm now too. I'll keep you guys updated.

@AllyTheKid, I hope everything is ok. Did they do an EKG? Reading your post made me think of my cousin. She has 4 children also and so much is put on her. She deals with a lot of stress and anxiety and doesn't really have a lot of help. She lives in a different state than me so there isn't much I can do for her. I'm just so sorry your going through all that and I hope they can figure it out.
Well my BF is about my stupid job. I've been back ar work and pumping for 4 months. Now they want to tell me I have to utilize my lunch and 2-15 min breaks for it. Problem is that leaves me short almost 3 hrs a week and I don't have enough PTO to cover 3 more months. All this because someone is jealous they can't pump too. They don't realize I don't want to be pumping either dammit but I have to feed my kid. People are such jerks!
@ladybug2821 Is there another new mama there that genuinely needs to pump as well, or is there just somebody there being a douche?
No, our ER doesn't do EKGs or anything like that. Once I'm able to get insurance I'm going to get the ball rolling with my doctor. I really don't think this is all just a symptom of stress personally.
@AllyTheKid No it's just someone being a douche. They think I'm getting more breaks than them I guess. They don't realize pumping is work and stressful. I work with a lot of haters unfortunately.
Oh for fuck's sake. I dread re-entering the work force... Sounds like I'll just end up caring for a bunch of adult children and their BS. Nobody I know ever has anything positive to say about their coworkers or superiors anymore it seems, and that is disheartening.

I've contacted a lawyer and emailed LLL. No response from LLL but a lawyer can't handle because it is not discrimination. Technically they aren't limiting me. Whatever amount doesn't fall into my 1.5 hrs of breaks, I either will not get paid for or have to use PTO. My issue more so lies in that 2 other employees are getting paid while they pump because one has an office and the other has been given an accommodation to work from home. While pumping and working is not ideal, that is what I'm going to ask for. But I'm sure they'll come up with some excuse as to why I can't just move to an office and work. They make me sick. I'm trying to maintain my professionalism but they are making it hard.
@ladybug2821 I would blatantly ask why one is accomodated with work feom home, and another with an office. If you're unable to pump your usual amount in the times given to you, you areabsolutely being limited. Sorry LLL hasn't gotten back with you, I would try again or look a number to call them at if there is one. I hate that you're still having to deal with all this crap :-/
@babysunshine4 (and an update for the rest of you too) The symptoms have persisted, along with a few new ones. I had an appointment yesterday, my doctor has a few theories but he won't say what until after I'm able to get an MRI. He put his referral through and that's what we're working towards now. He's positive it's neurological, it's just a matter of WHAT exactly. I will update as things come along, but it's going to be a fairly slow process. Hooray, American healthcare system.
@brzvice MS is on my doc's "shit list". Alas, we await the MRI. Stay tuned... In the mean time, would you mind sharing some of your early symptoms and your diagnostic process with me? Even if I don't have that and something related, it would be nice to commiserate with somebody who doesn't think I've just lost my mind haha
@allythekid What sent me in to the ER originally and multiple Drs. was numbness and tingling "pins and needles" in both of my feet that eventually crept up to my knees. It was equal in both legs which I guess is unusual. I also suffered from bladder issues ( painful burning, frequency, peeing small amounts) that I thought was frequent UTI's but it was actually my MS. I now know I have a lesion on my brain on the part that is responsible of sending messages from brain to bladder. I had MRIs with confirmed lesions on my brain, a spinal tap with confirmed high amounts of a certain protein that is a usual indicator of MS. I also had to go through a horrible and useless EMG that tested my nerve response which was ridiculously painful. I was also diagnosed with "cold feet" by some whack job at a walk in clinic. At the time I worked at Menards (Home Improvement store) and was doing heavy lifting of ceramic tile and flooring so I thought I just had a pinched nerve. Weird part is I was obsessed with my symptoms and was reading my Moms old medical encyclopedias and found the description of MS in there and told my then boyfriend (now H) that I thought I had MS.
I have been very blessed and have been relatively symptom free since my diagnosis which was around 10-11 years ago. Like @Ladybug2821 said I hope you have a quick and easy diagnosis/ treatment and that it is not in fact MS or anything else serious.
So I ordered a new crib for V on Prime Day and it was stolen off my porch. WTF world. Stealing from a baby!
Anyways Amazon is the best and will be sending me a replacement at no charge with proof of the police report that was filed. So plus one for the world.

Daisy had her very first accidents in the house. It looks like her belly was upset and she just couldn't make it over night, so I got ro pick up and scrub two big piles of runny doodoo out of my carpet first thing this morning.

@AllyTheKid Both of those two things suck. I'd rather change S's diaper than clean up after my pets. But since this is her first accident, I'd say that's not bad at all for being in a new home.
