Hello fellow Game of Thrones fans! Let's share our thoughts on the first episode. As you can imagine, spoilers abound, so join at your own risk if you haven't watched yet.

ETA: oh, I guess some guided questions would be nice.
Favorite moment?
Least favorite moment?
Did you cry? If so, when/why?Any predictions based on this ep?
Re: Game of Thrones - S7E1 - *spoiler warning*
Least favorite moment? Probably the Samwell poop thing. Or the scene with Euron just because he's smarmy and I hate him.
Did you cry? If so, when/why? I don't really cry at TV shows, so no
Any predictions based on this ep? Not really? Maybe that Jon will head to dragonstone to get the dragon glass and that will be how he meets up with Dany and tries to convince her to help them.
am i a sociopath if i say the opening scene? Winter has come for House Frey
I did enjoy the Hound and the Brotherhood scene, I think it really showed us how far he has come and really set up a lot of what we will see this season
Least favorite moment?
the montage at the citadel, like i got the point i just thought it went on too long.
Did you cry? If so, when/why?
no tears this time.
did have a couple of laughs. Tormund and his longing for Brienne
Any predictions based on this ep?
When Sam was looking at the book, was that a picture of the dagger that Little Finger has/had? (on the page before the dragonstone page)
um, can we talk about the preview for next week?

Least favorite moment? Ed Sheeran. WTF? I guess that scene was meant to sort of humanize the Lannisters a bit - like, not all Lannisters are terrible, some are forced into this mess, and their lives are being ruined too, and I get that, but Ed Sheeran felt gimicky. It felt like product placement almost.
Did you cry? If so, when/why? I did not, but my husband did. He was emotional for most of the episode, but especially when Lady Mormont was talking.
Any predictions based on this ep? This episode really made me believe Jaime will kill Cersei. I think it has to happen because she's definitely become the Mad Queen, and he'll see it as the honorable thing to do, especially with Dany, who is not evil, available to take over as ruler. I think Cersei has to die before everyone starts battling the true Big Bad (the wights), so I think it will happen mid to late season, so that next season can be 100% all out against The Night King. I think Arya will be mad she doesn't get to kill Cersei, but oh well. In Bran's vision, we see the Night King walking on green grass, that as he passes over it turns to snow, and that means they're south of the wall. A lot of internet folks are saying they think that since Bran has the Night King's mark on him, and now Bran has passed through the wall, that now the wights can pass through the wall sort of like what happened at the Tree with the three eyed raven. So, it looks like they're south of the wall, but someone also said the one-eyed giant looks like Wun Wun, which means they're south of Winterfell, and came before they could burn Wun Wun? I don't know - that timeline doesn't really make sense to me, though, because look how big Gilly's kid is! Time has passed! Like, you wouldn't leave a giant corpse rotting for months, right?
A question I have: where the eff is Ghost? Maybe they just left him out for budgetary reasons, but like, where is he? I'm worried about him. I love him too much.
!!!!!
Least favorite moment? Don't get me wrong, I really liked the scene where Dany lands on Dragonstone, but I had a hard time understanding why Cersei/Jaime had not sent a force to occupy that castle, or sent Euron and his ships there. Like, there is just this big empty f-ing castle that you KNOW the mother of dragons is going to want and you left it totally empty and unguarded?
Did you cry? If so, when/why? Nope.
Any predictions based on this ep? I had a lot of predictions of things that will happen before the end - but I'm not sure exactly when they will happen. Definitely think Cersei will be dead by end of season. I also think one dragon may die by the end of the season (though I hate that). Also, I was very interested in how the Hound has changed and grown. I think he and Arya will meet up and he may actually influence her back towards humanity. I think the vengeance angle is so cool but I could see her going to far with it pretty fast and losing herself in it. I also think Sam will cure Jorah. I agree with you @hezzer78 that Jon now has a reason to contact Dany/ go to Dragonstone because of the dragon glass, but I wonder if perhaps a friendship between Sam and Jorah might facilitate a peace between Dany and Jon.
@doxiemoxie212 re Bran and the Wall - yes, I am seeing that too as a theory. I kind of hate to think he is somehow going to be responsible for the WW being able to bring down the Wall but it is definitely possible. I wish the three-eyed raven had shown him better how this stuff works. Also, yes, I have also seen the speculation on the grass (must be south of the Wall in the future) and Wun Wun. My issue with Wun Wun being undead is like, is that definitely him couldn't it just be a rando giant? I agree the reasonable thing would have been to burn all the bodies from Battle of the Bastards and any deaths at Winterfell. We already know Jon knows to do this, so, idk how that could be Wun Wun.
Favorite moment? Come on. That opening scene. It was such poetic justice. Yessss. Just scenes with Jamie because for some reason I love him now and he's trying to get Cersei to be realistic. Also the way he looked at Greyjoy when he mentioned his hands. yikes. hehe
Least favorite moment? The poop. Littlefinger being annoying as usual.
Did you cry? If so, when/why? nOT this episode but I am pretty sure there will be tears in the future. If a dragon dies I AM DONE.
Any predictions based on this ep? Yes, I think someone up above mentioned Littlefinger's spear and yes, I believe it will play a role in the future.

Least favorite moment? The poop scenes. It was like okay, I get it he changed a lot of nasty bed pans and almost threw up - enough already.
Did you cry? If so, when/why? No
Any predictions based on this ep? I think Cersei will die before the end of the season and I think it will end up being Jamie because he will just see she is crazy. I want Arya and Bram to be back with Jon and Sansa. I also can't wait to see how the tension that seems to be building between Jon and Sansa plays out.
@Doxiemoxie212 & @zamora_spin - I thought that was weird too the way Dragonstone was completely empty. I thought that Cersei would have had someone waiting. Also I had some side eye for the Ed Sheeran being in the episode.
Least favorite moment? I looked away at all the poop stuff. The gagging was enough for me. Also, Ed Sheeran, although cute and all. Seemed very much out of place and his accent did not gel with the era.
Did you cry? If so, when/why? No. But I am with @garnetandgoldgrace if an animal (dragon or other) dies, I am toast.
Any predictions based on this ep? No predictions. It does bother me that with all Arya's determination about avenging her family members that are dead, she doesnt seem in the least bit concerned about the ones that are still living? But, maybe that is just me. So I look forward to her reuniting with the rest of her family, after Cersei is taken out.

Favorite moment? The scenes with Jon and his bannerman. I love Lady Mormont, and I think Jon has got this all right with the way he's doing things.
Least favorite moment? Same as @zamora_spin. Why did they just let Dany land? That scene seemed strange to me because I thought her homecoming was more easy than it really should have been, and I thought I would be more moved by it.
Did you cry? If so, when/why? No.
Any predictions based on this ep? I think either Jon or Sam will meet Dany relatively soon. Arya will kill Littlefinger. Jamie will kill Cercei.

Least favorite moment? everything with Sam. I've never been interested in his storyline and even less so now. Also, Ed Sheeran, wtf? I read online that they asked him to make a cameo as a surprise for Maisie Williams because she's a huge fan but it just felt really out of place. Like someone pulling out an iPhone in the middle of the American revolution or something.
Did you cry? If so, when/why? No.
Any predictions based on this ep? I'm really hoping for a reunion between Jon and Arya and for Jon and Dany to finally meet. I don't think Cersei will live past this season. Also, did anyone else notice in the previews for next episode that there's a scene where it looks like Sansa is being kissed by one of the Dorne girls???

Least favorite moment? Sam in the library. Like, the books all have chains, but you reshelve books without attaching them to chains, which totally defeats the purpose of a medieval library chained book in the first place. *sigh* But that's probably my rare books/librarian self coming out.
