DH has been refusing to wear his CPAP recently, and I can't stand the snoring! I'm already dealing with insomnia & now when DH gets home (he works nights), he immediately starts snoring which I cannot sleep through. Major eye roll.
Acid revival- causing me to bolt out of bed and get sick the past few nights. Out of nowhere- it is awesome!
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
Ugh! Had that with my first. It sucked. Wish I could say it didn't. I've had some horrendous heartburn lately, but it hasn't made me sick. Hang in there only a few short weeks to go.
Bugs/ creepy crawlies. We removed the garbage bag this weekend and there were maggots at the bottom. I almost puked. The bag had only been in there for something like 2.5 days and I wipe out the bottom of the can once a week. The worst part? I have a simple human can that has vents at the bottom and a few fell out as the bin was being dragged outside. The good news? Kitchen is spotless and floors/ walls underneath fridge/ island are clean.
After multiple vats if boiling water, scrubbing, harsh chemicals, more scrubbing, more boiling water and three days outside I finally let the garbage can come back inside. I wanted to just Chuck it, but it was relatively new and pricey.
Still a bit freaked out.
Doesn't help that I came home to find the cat bowl filled with ants. Ugh! I thought those suckers we're gone. Nope, they just took 3 months to find a new place in the house to congregate.
Lauradi1010 had the same issue last year. I was revolted. We did get a new trash can. On the bright side, after that fiasco I think my kitchen had never been cleaner...!
The girl at work who has never had a kid but knows *everything* about being pregnant and having a kid. It started off with me talking about a 4 mile hike (2 there and back to a waterfall) DH and I went on where she piped up and said it's only 2 miles round trip and the doc I work with was like it's easily 4. The kicker- when I said it shouldn't have taken 40 minutes to do the first half if it really was only a mile there she said "well you're pregnant and had your dogs with you". The doc looked at her and said "you know she still goes to the gym regularly and does her own yardwork and walks her dogs." She just walked away. Then she had the nerve to come up to me again and ask if I regret that I'm still working and traveling 50 miles to work 2 out of 4 days a week to the next town (2 days are in the town I live in) because I will probably cause my baby to come early because I'm working so much, according to her. I actually like my job and where it's 4 days a week, I don't see the problem with me still working especially since my OB is fine with it.
sorry this was long. She has been so annoying this week! ETA: words are hard
The City is a twat. They have water main projects going on all over the place, including the street where we live. Work's been delayed for months (long boring story). But now... this Friday they're shutting off the water from 8am to 4pm. I normally work from home Mondays and Fridays now, and was actually going to start staying home full time now that I'm two weeks out from my due date. Looks like I have to waddle through the heat and humidity and forecasted storms to the office on Friday now. Can't have a preggo at home for that long with no toilet usage.
@DeansGirl14 some might think this is gross but we're all about to get really comfortable with talking about bodily functions (of our babies) so I'm just going to go for it in case it helps you not have to go into the office...When the water goes out, I think you usually get one flush.
California drought protocol when it's really bad is apparently "if it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down." We just got out of a drought that wasn't super extreme but hearing people talk about the last big drought which lasted 10 years, I was very worried about having to start doing this (thankfully we didn't get there), but I'd think using that logic, you wouldn't need to flush more than once.
