Re: Weekly Symptoms 7.17

I think I overdid it a bit this weekend. We had friends/family in town for our couples shower Saturday evening. It was fantastic! But I was on my feet a lot. Then Sunday, I spent a lot of time going through our gifts and doing baby's first laundry and organizing stuff in the nursery. Now my back is sore and my pelvis feels like it's going to split in half when I walk. My poor feet are so swollen, and I'm super annoyed at all the people who keep reminding me how awful my feet look.

Over did it this weekend with cleaning and running errands.  I was hit with a huge back ache last night but thankfully stretching helped tremendously.  Can not wait for my massage this morning.

Butt cramps at night! All night long!

Things are just getting harder  and I am finding it hard to accept :(

Still no swelling and so thankful for that.

Peeing all the time because of the pressure on my bladder.
  • 30+5

I feel like my blood pressure is low.... but it's not really - this morning it was 112/66.  I just feel funny.

I had my shower this past weekend and am completely exhausted from it.  Being around people all weekend, traveling, it all just took a toll.

So long story short, i'm tired, my blood feels weird, and I'm generally no fun to be around.  I wish I could take a day or two to recover.

I am exhausted and nauseous all the time. I apparently was also up and on my feet too much this weekend with the Baby-Q. My feet and legs ballooned up and were super swollen and painful. I can hardly believe I only have 5 more weeks before we get to meet our LO!

Heartburn is horrible getting up most of the night to pee. I have had trouble trying to lay down and relax in bed my back hurts when I do that so now have sit straight up in bed with lots of pillows. Pregnancy has been super easy for me till now I feel its all going down hill from here. Good news I just got call I passed the 3 hr glucose test :)

  • 33w today.

Backaches and other ailments not as bad recently... FX.

Just BIG and tired. The heat probably adds to the fatigue! I still can't believe I can get bigger from here... a bit scary.

Oh, and of course peeing a lot...

Took a childbirth class all day yesterday with H and I am so glad we did! If anyone is on the fence, I highly recommend it.

We're getting near the end! :-0
  • 30+4. I cannot get comfortable. I also can't sleep. This baby loves to kick all night. Plus, acid reflux that will not go away. Also, South Texas is freaking hot. I'm always sweating.

  • Anyone feel you have the perfect formula for constipation? I've been eating fiber-rich cereal most mornings as well as some Metamucil every so often, but I haven't found the "miracle food." Lots of foods have fiber, and I've been having a lot of them! Still not great. Yet another annoying pregnancy symptom... :-P

I am an emotional mess. I cried Sunday because I was tired and my husband told me to go take a nap. Ugh. I also have a uti and I think the antibiotics are upsetting my stomach.
  • @margareth I take a vitamin B 6 pill every morning. I didn't with previous pregnancies but my sister swore by it for the constipation issue for sure. I have not had any issues at all since taking it. Of course ask your doctor first. But that's my only advice on that.
  • My belly button hurts. Actually right above my belly button, where I have a piercing, the area around the hole is super sensitive. The exit hole, which is actually in the belly button isn't sensitive at all. I don't remember this with my first pregnancy, but it's super uncomfortable.

"I'm having fruit salad for dinner. Well, it's mostly just grapes, actually. Ok all grapes. Fermented grapes. Fine, I'm having wine for dinner."
  • @wannabeamongoose I feel ya on the belly button! DH keeps talking about how much it freaks him out, especially with that extra piercing hole (that I took out 11 years ago)
Another reason to regret my previous life choices, I have tattoos on the tops/sides of my feet. I got laser removal treatment 2 years ago, that didn't do jack, and now that my feet are swelling, the tattoos get all raised/puffy too.
:( I already hate people looking at my feet because of the tattoos, and now the swelling makes me even more self conscious and they hurt. Blah.

  • So sorry to harp on this wildly unpleasant subject (ha), but has anyone tried Colace for constipation? My doctor's office approves but I'm a little cautious about possible side effects and I've never tried something like it before. It's safe to say that symptoms got worse for me since posting Monday, though, so I'll prob end up getting some.

@margareth-2 My OB prescribed Colace. It has helped a little. It's not a cure, but it's better. I was also told to drink lots of water and still get fiber.

  • @bridge-and-wall Thanks! Yes, I agree with you, after trying it today. It helps, at least! And I haven't noticed any weird side effects from it.

    What fun! ;-P
  • @margareth-2
I take 1 colace a day and have been since like 20 weeks.  It helps soften things to "pass" easier but doesn't necessarily help constipation.
  • I hear ya ladies! A friend asked me what I missed most while being pregnant - Wine? Sushi? Sleeping on my stomach?

    Pooping. I miss pooping.
  • Today I woke up to a shooting pain going from my pelvis down the inside of my left leg whenever I walk. Not the best development when you're 32 weeks and have 8 left to go...
  • 30 weeks tomorrow and I'm pretty sure I'm developing PUPPS rash. It is so itchy and scratching just makes the itch worse. I'll be confirming at my OB appt next week.
  • In the middle of a heat wave here in DC. 97 degrees today and humid. DYING!  Was about 85 outside at night last night and I started having contractions (BH in retrospect) and was so sweaty I thought it was possible my water had broken!  At 33w4d I kind of freaked oyt. Thankfully I was ok and when I got home to the A/C, drank some water, and put my feet up life improved dramatically!!!

Still dealing with leg/foot cramps at night, constant peeing and what my husband calls "pregnancy sundowner's" (aka getting cranky and weird at night!). Ready to be done with this!!!
  • SHE'S KILLING ME. She is performing acrobatics in my belly and kicking in all directions and it HURTS and makes me jump and cry and it won't stop! GIRL GO TO SLEEP. She BETTER be turning head down because this spinning kicking punching thing is ridiculous!!! I just want to sleep and I can't.
