Mental Health Monday

Hey all-- we haven't done this one too much but I figure why not!

My mental health feels 100% better today after letting my boss and coworkers know my last day will be in 3 weeks. It had been weighing heavily on my mind-- the timing of telling them, knowing the impact this will have on the office. But getting it out there in the open feels so much better. It's like ripping off a bandaid... once you do it, it's done and you can move forward. whew!

  • I have been doing really well anxiety-wise lately. Makes me nervous that I might have a break down around my August EDD.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • @NYTino24 I know for me I anticipated the EDD being super hard and so maybe that's why it wasn't as bad. Don't get me wrong it was hard I just imagined it being much worse.  Hopefully you dont have a breakdown.  Sending my thoughts.  Super glad you're doing well  anxiety wise right now though.  Are you doing anything special to help with anxiety?
My mental health has been terrible lately and can't seem to get out of my funk.  I guess I knew this was coming as I have a history of depression but I was hoping I would get lucky.  I will have to talk to my doctor at my next appointment.

@angkay711 Well I'm not working this summer (other than like 5 hours of tutoring a week), so that helps and I'm getting as much sleep as my body wants. I am also seeing friends and family more. Plus, being able to buy things for the baby helps along with feeling him move. Sunshine and some exercise help me too. Sorry you're having a rough time. I get in those ruts and don't try to fight them. I acknowledge it, cry, tell DH, and then it resolves after a bit.
