This morning I came in and my mouse ball was missing and so was my phone cord. Clearly payback for someone I pranked last week. What funny things have people done around your work. I'm looking for payback ideas!

The phone cord prank is priceless. My old boss use to hide under people's desk. He would get there before anyone else and get under their desk and pull the chair up to hide behind. He also would take the keyboard or mouse.
We stole the power cord from our boss's computer. He didn't know thats what was wrong with his computer until he actually crawled behind the desk to see. (He's a good sport. It was payback for a prank he played on 5 or 6 people at once.)
Also, we filled up our other boss's office with balloons for his birthday. Not much of a prank, per se, but still just as funny.
I don't work in an office but where I do work we super glue the phone down, so it will ring and the person will go to answer and can't get it to lift, since it is superglued it takes forever to get off.

My DH did this one weekend when he was scheduled to work the weekend shift. Things had been particularly crazy at work and he decided a good prank would lighten the mood so he taped his manager's cube shut and filled it with balloons.
I am not a frequent poster, but thought I would add some. We did the stapler in jello trick (from The Office). Even though this is small, it is oh so funny, we change a few letters on one of my employee's keyboard. He just types away and it takes him about 2-3 minutes to figure out what is going on. We hear him grunt and curse and then he runs around the office to see someone else's keyboard to compare the letter placement. We have done it probably about 10 times and he stills falls for it! At my DH's office, they call him the grinch, so this past year they gift wrapped everything in his office, his chair, his phone, his computer, the door...everything!
Once, when waiting out a HUGE traffic jam we covered our co-workers entire desk with post-it notes, but we wrote inane little notes on them. We also hid his track-ball in one of the most obvious, yet elusive spots in his office. But they already did that to you so I guess you can't repeat...

If they have a laser mouse, put a piece of tape or something on the laser portion. They mouse won't work.
Saran wrap. Everything.
