Re: Baby clothes

The downside for me being team green is my desire to either buy cute boy outfits or girl outfits! I'm pretty sure I have enough newborn gender neutral outfits!

Guys I cannot stop buying baby headbands. I do not need as many as I have purchased but I cannot stop. I need an intervention.

    @cwalker042

@JDW0325 That is one reason I'm happy with having a boy first. I'm taking all of the hand-me-downs and not buying too many clothes. Everything I'm buying is pretty gender neutral, it may not have been if it was a girl. Now as for me, all of the clothes I've bought for myself have been super girly with lots of flowers. It would be nice to have a girl next so I can get some headbands, leggings, and bows though.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

All these outfits are so cute ... I am trying not to buy clothes for baby girl because I know my mom and MIL like to shop and have already gotten baby some cute outfits.

We are being concervative too . Team green is making it easier but we know that so close to Christmas we only need new born stuff and the basics . My mum can't help herself actually my family are a bit big and generous on the gift side and being our first they won't hold back .
As long as we have enough to dress them in and last a wash cycle we won't really want for much

@DuchessOfCambridge I felt the same way. Boys have cute clothes. Button up shirts, loafers, cute little shorts but when I'd see the girls clothes my ovaries would explode!  I did put my son in a salmon colored outfit when he was a year old and people still called him a she! HE clearly looked liked a little boy!

@DuchessOfCambridge  People were talking about how they wanted me to have a girl cuz they're more fun to shop for, which I always agreed on, until I found out its a boy and can't stop shopping! I have found the cutest clothes for him and would buy more if my shower wasn't next month lol! He's so much fun to shop for, IDK where people get off saying they're not fun.

@kaitlinliz I just love baby girl dresses. It's cause I'm a girl and just drawn to the cuteness of the clothing haha. That being said, I totally bought two insanely cute baby boy outfits today. Even though im not supposed to shop anymore.

Thw hardest thing for me about having a boy is not buying an obscene amount of bows and hairbands

@dragonfly87-2 Not to really compare, but I saw the clothes and was like, you should see the clothes my sisters dropped off! And then I saw the shoes. That is a TON of shoes!!!
@hillaryo14 Haha that is such a southern expression.

My fiance's mom got us a onesie like that and I don't like it because he has kids and knows how to dress them. His best friend also got us one that says something like Hung Like Daddy that I am not too fond of.
  • Options

@amber0529 I don’t think I would like it as much if he had already had kids but this is his first child and  I know he feels really out of his element when it comes to babies (which has lead to some great conversations for us). So the onesie works for him that being said I am sure he knows or at least could figure out how to dress a baby.  I am picky when it comes to onesies with sayings I would not like one that said Hung Like Daddy.

Some of the saying on onesies that are meant to be funny i often find down right tasteless. Hung like daddy is one of those. Who would take their kid out in public in that?

@amber0529 What?!? I would not put that on my kid. I gave away a few hand me down onesies from my sister like one that said, "Little Ass Kicker". No thanks!

@MaximumEffort I was given that one by a fellow mom of a rainbow baby. :)
