Re: High risk mommas 7/12
2. Do you have any appointments or 3xtra testing this week? Nope, next appointment is August 3rd.
3. How are you doing emotionally? Current struggles for this week? My anxiety has been a bit amped up this week, but I think it's directly related to feeling lightheaded.
4. Miscellaneous: please share anything else that is on your heart and mind about being high risk I try to tell myself that "high risk" doesn't necessarily mean that something bad will happen. Yes, I'm "older" and have some other complications, but everything will likely go smoothly.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I like the bump, when it's an actual bump.

2. Do you have any appointments or 3xtra testing this week?
I had my NT scan and blood draw on Tuesday. The tech said everything at this point (that she can see on a 3 inch baby) looked good
3. How are you doing emotionally? Current struggles for this week?
I have hopped the struggle bus this week. Idk why but I'm so over emotional. I think seeing the baby look like an actual baby and that it is most likely a girl just made everything so real. I'm so so sad, and praying that I didn't hurt this little baby. I have a few more weeks until we can do the second trimester blood screening which will test for NTDs which is what I am so concerned about.
4. Miscellaneous: please share anything else that is on your heart and mind about being high risk
I feel robbed in a sense. With DD I didn't enjoy my pregnancy because of PGAL brain. Now I feel like I can't enjoy this pregnancy because I don't know yet if I get to keep it.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant?
honestly, giving birth. I think the whole thing is fascinating
1. How far along are you? 13+5
2. Do you have any appointments or 3xtra testing this week? I just got home from my first visit with the NP. I meet my new OB the 8/3.
3. How are you doing emotionally? Current struggles for this week? My appointment couldn't have gone any better. My BP was totally normal (although that could change) and I absolutely loved the NP. They really want to avoid an induction this time and I'm so on board. I was really nervous going into it with my protein levels being what they were, so this is such a huge relief.
4. Miscellaneous: please share anything else that is on your heart and mind about being high risk last time, I was so discouraged about being high risk. I felt really alone especially seeing all my pregnant friends go through totally normal pregnancies and here I was going every week for NTs and being sent to the hospital for low fetal movement. DH told me last night that even though the pregnancy was a struggle, we still had a healthy baby, so this time should be no different. Whew, sorry this is long!
5. GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? the baby bump and feeling movement! Besides that, I'm not one of those women who enjoys being pregnant.
14 wks, 4 days
2. Do you have any appointments or 3xtra testing this week?
Not this week. we go in to check LO's heartbeat next Friday. Feels like eternity!
3. How are you doing emotionally? Current struggles for this week?
Not so good. I am really up and down a lot. I am sure most of you have seen my post about what is going on with our LO and I don't do well with limbo. I am trying to stay positive and believe in miracles, but I get overwhelmed with waves of sadness. I just want my little boy to survive. It is pretty much all I can think about.
4. Miscellaneous: please share anything else that is on your heart and mind about being high risk
I just want to feel joy. In the early stages of this pregnancy, I felt joy at every milestone we hit and felt the worry fade a little more every time. But then, to be hit with the news that our baby has such a low chance of survival just sucked all the joy right out of me. I am trying really hard. I look at nursery ideas and try to imagine him really being here. I read to him and sing to him (even though I know he can't really hear me yet) and try to be the best mommy to him that I can be every day, but I don't feel joy. Everything I do is tinged with darkness.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant?
Seeing my baby wiggling around on the ultrasound has been my best experience so far.

1. How far along are you?
15+4
2. Do you have any appointments or 3xtra testing this week?
Had one yesterday. Things are looking good, but the results from my NIPT are STILL not in, so I'm stressing about that.
3. How are you doing emotionally? Current struggles for this week?
Okay. I'm going on an 8 hour road trip tomorrow, and going camping for 8 days. I'm nervous about being so isolated, and going through all of the worst case scenarios in my head. But I'm really trying not to go down that rabbit hole!
4. Miscellaneous: please share anything else that is on your heart and mind about being high risk
Pregnancy has always been an anxiety-inducing event for me. I try to be excited through it, but there is always that thought in the back of my mind that something is going to go wrong. I'm struggling with trying to be positive, because everything was OK with my daughter, but I always focus on the small chance of things going wrong.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant?
Besides the nausea and heartburn? I love everything about being pregnant! But I have to agree with, @burnsmommy27 , the best part about being pregnant for me is having that wiggling ball of flesh put on my chest after delivery! I also love the bump, and not having to suck it in in my clothes. I let that all hang out!
Really all of you are. I know this is stressful for all of us. I can't thank you guys enough for all the love and support.

2. Do you have any appointments or 3xtra testing this week? Trying to get an appointment with a genetic counselor ASAP so we can get a lot more info. We'll have to decide if we want CVS or an amniocentesis at that appointment. Not sure if I want to do that though.
3. How are you doing emotionally? Current struggles for this week? A mess. All the struggles.
4. Miscellaneous: please share anything else that is on your heart and mind about being high risk @aimsforyou2014 I totally feel you on this one. I just want to feel joy again.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? I loved being able to feel baby move. I hope I can enjoy that again this time around.
We just had our 12 week scan two days ago and found a 4.9mm cystic hygroma. We have the CVS test on Tuesday, I have been sick to my stomach since...
@mommaa1615 Sending positive thoughts your way too. Keep us updated on how it goes.
@fishee333 @mommaa1615 keeping you both in my heart.

Baby #4 on the way!
1. How far along are you?
I'm 14w6d, but I don't really have anything to add this week in terms of appointments.
2. Do you have any appointments or 3xtra testing this week?
Nope.
3. How are you doing emotionally? Current struggles for this week?
I bought some maternity shirts this weekend, which was a little surreal. Exciting, but surreal. I've never been this pregnant before and here my sister is about to start actively planning a shower for me at the end of September with our out of town family. They're 4ish hours away and our parents live 19 hours away so we are planning it around their visit along with travel restrictions for me. Its a little early for a late December/early January baby but that's okay.
I guess that means I'm doing well but I still feel like I'm waiting for something to happen.
4. Miscellaneous: please share anything else that is on your heart and mind about being high risk
I don't entirely feel like I'm high risk other than surrounding delivery. It is a strange place to be. Normal, but not normal. Normal, but with this looming possibility of catastrophe at the last minute. I don't really like it at all.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant?
So far? My favorite parts have been ultrasounds, hearing his heartbeat and finding the gender for DH's birthday. I'm looking forward to the 20 week scan and feeling baby move!
