  • 1) How far along are you
    ? How big is baby?
16 weeks... An avacado or a dill pickle.

    2) How are you feeling?
Really well, lots of energy, loving feeling baby move this last 2 weeks  <3

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
Dont know the sex yet, find out 8th August at my anatomy scan. I have started showing... Small bump at the moment but it's there.

    4) Any appointments this week/last?
None last week but I have an appointment this Thursday with my midwife to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time. Really excited for that  :#

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
DH has come down with chicken pox this last week. I'm not immune as never had it so had to have a huge injection in my butt on Saturday to try to prevebt it from developing.... Was not pleasant at all. Had to have it two years ago with my first pregnancy as my neice had it and I'd spent the weekend with her before breaking out in spots in the Monday.
It's been a week of hell as hubby has been in agony and very ill. Glad the worst of it is over, just waiting for our 2 yr old to break out in it now  :s

    6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the area/town/city you live in? Optional add on Q: Where do you live?
I think it has to be the local parks we have. We have beautiful parks with lakes with ducks and swans, splash pad (fountains and pools) for the kids which everyone loves and it's free, so the kids can spend loads of time there in the summer at no cost for us parents in the holidays. Also all the coffee shops and restaurants we have. I live in an a city called Worcester,  which is quite a tourist attraction in the UK, so lots of places to eat and drink  :)

  • Thanks @kate0506!

    1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
18 weeks. Baby is the size of an artichoke.

    2) How are you feeling?
Pretty good! A bit les tired. I did wake up at 4:30 this morning and had trouble going back to sleep. I hope this won't be a thing (although getting to work early and leaving early isn't bad).

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
No, not yet. Hopefully this Saturday! I'm not really showing yet. I see something, but people who don't know, have no clue.

    4) Any appointments this week/last?
We've got an extra (private) ultrasound this Saturday.

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Anyone else waking up super early? & Are more Bumpies feeling only sporadic movement (some days a lot and then nothing?). I think it has to do with where the baby is located, but I'll be happy to see him/her this Saturday!

    6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the area/town/city you live in? Optional add on Q: Where do you live?

I live in a small city in the center of the Netherlands. I love my city because of the location: close to family and friends, restaurants and shops closeby and close to forests as well. I love that it's big enough to have a city life, but small enough to be able to run in to people you know.

  • Hi @FakeFinn, you are two weeks ahead of me, but yes movements are very sporadic, I didn't really feel anything yesterday. It's mainly in the evening when I'm relaxing and still when I feel it most.
Is this your first pregnancy? As you do feel it a bit later I've heard in first pregnancies. Don't worry anyway, it's completely normal, in a few weeks you will be feeling little one all the time and watching your belly ripple with movements. I found this fascinating with my first and used to lay there and watch it every night. Think my hubs thought I was mad but I never got bored of it. Cant wait to start seeing this in the next few weeks. Looking forward to hearing how you get on Saturday, hope you can find out the sex.
  • 1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
    18 weeks today

    2) How are you feeling?
I feel really good at time, just  a little more emotional  the usual

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
no not yet, next apt is 2 weeks away

    4) Any appointments this week/last?

nope, next one is on the 27th
    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

should I start to feel kicks or anything? I have not felt any movement yet but I think I'm to early  to be able to feel anything yet?

    6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the area/town/city you live in? Optional add on Q: Where do you live?
I love all the local products and seasonal berries. I live where there is local farm stands in every corner and the local farmers market had amazing  products.

  • @Knottie45121649 is this your first pregnancy? This is my second and I've been lucky enough to feel small movements since 14/15 weeks.
With my first I didn't really feel much until about 18 weeks, just like little bubbles. Don't worry, you will soon be feeling movements all the time over the next few weeks. You're more likely to feel them at first when you are relaxing rather than when you're active. So try seeing if you can feel little flutters when you're lay on the sofa etc.
  • @Kate0506 Yes, this is our first. I have been feeling 'things' for the past two weeks, but as a first timer, I'm not 100% it's the baby :) I think it is, but then the sporadicness gets me thinking/worrying. I'm looking forward to feeling him/her kick and seeing my belly move :)

  • Yes you're most def feeling the baby, it's just baby is still quite small so you won't feel the movements as prominent yet as you will in a few weeks time. Just like bubbles and flutters to start with. Completely normal  :)
Anything you're unsure of, just ask, I'm happy to help if I can
  • 1) How far along are you?
    19 weeks!
    How big is baby?

The size of a zesty zucchini :)
    2) How are you feeling?
I am feeling really good. Resting when I can and not pushing myself to do too much. Also drinking a TON of water so that's been really helpful with the headaches from the humidity, but then I'm also in the bathroom like 100 times a day. Lol

    3) Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
Team pink! And yes showing for sure now, A grade school friend of mine that works in target stopped me dead in my tracks the other day and was like WAIT a seconddddd. Lol and then a I was shopping in a store that doesn't have a restroom , but I asked anyways and they let me use it because I was pregnant. Lol
    4) Any appointments this week/last?
This Friday is our A/S. And we can not wait!

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm feeling sweet pea move now 2 days in a row. But still not consistently but when I lay down it's noticeable, so now I just want to "rest" all day lol or whenever I can.

    6) GTKY: What is your favorite thing about the area/town/city you live in? Optional add on Q: Where do you live?
I lived here at the Jersey shore my entire life and will never leave because of the beach and pizza. Definitely the pizza is my favorite. I eat it once a day. Not even exaggerating.

  • @FakeFinn I'm in the same boat.  Very sporadic the past couple weeks and it was only up  till yesterday that I was certain it was out little girl! Hehe. It was a straight up poke! And two more seconds later. More like popcorn popping versus flutters I've been feeling the past couple of weeks.  It was pretty cool. And ive come to find its more noticeable when I'm laying down resting. Can wait to feel her more the next couple of weeks!
