How far along are you? 36 weeks
How big is baby? I.feel.huge. that is all.
Any upcoming appointments this week?
Thursday morning....general check up, cervix check (yay! Not) and b strep test
Any new symptoms or cravings this week? I've felt like crap this week...achy, exhausted and sore...hoping the next few weeks fly
Rants/Raves/Questions? I've been super emotional the last two weeks. Especially about the fact that DD won't be my only child anymore.
GTKY: my family did a lot of fun traditions. I guess one of my favorites was Sunday dinner with the whole family. Each person had to say the best part of their week and the worst. One thing my family didn't do much of is take vacations. Even short ones. My husband and I want to make sure to do more family vacations and less gifts. Even if it's just a weekend.
How far along are you? I am 34 weeks today
how big is baby? According to the bump as big as a butternut squash, according to ultrasound (witch I know can be very inaccurate, and am taking it with a grain of salt) about 6lbs
Appointments this week? Yes this afternoon just a routine prenatal with my midwives.
Symptoms or Cravings? I still want to eat rolaides like no ones business like I almost cannot control myself, but I haven't bought any so there are non around. I did go threw a whole bag of smarties though trying to match the texture isn't happening. Close but not the same. I have been taking 45mg of slow release iron for the past week, and was hoping it would make the craving go away but it hasn't.
I can say the iron has helped my Restless legs though, and *knock on wood* I have been sleeping better. Well between peeing every 30minutes.
I also started a probiotic when I started taking the iron as to help with regularity, and I've developed a raging yeast infection. I'm not sure if I maybe more sensitive to something in the probiotics that caused it or if it's coincidental, but it sucks and I'll be talking to the midwife about it this afternoon for sure.
GTKY: Unfortunately growing up we really didn't have any special traditions. I never realized it until after we had DD1, and now I don't even know what we would do. I have been taking my kids to AK to visit family every year, but DH dosent go so that dosent count to me.
How far along are you? 36 weeks
How big is baby? large . . .
Any upcoming appointments this week? On Thursday for OB and Friday for US
Any new symptoms or cravings this week? Nothing too new. Just generally feeling large, and having much less motivation to do any work at all. #sorrynotsorry
Rants/Raves/Questions? I think this is the last week that I will be driving into work every day (well minus my appointment days). I have started to run out of room in the car, and my team keeps telling me to stay home, but I have had meetings that I wanted to be at in person. I think that unless another meeting happens that I want to be at, tomorrow will be my last day in office!!!!!
GTKY: What family traditions does your family have and what traditions are you looking forward to doing with your child/children ? Oh boy, my family has so many traditions! The biggest is christmas. I have my own that I have created off of ones my mom set up, and I am looking forward to continuing those with my LO. For example, My mom has christmas artwork on every cabinet door in the kitchen, and I will plan to do something similar. We have a ton of small things we do, and food we eat, that I cant wait to do with my own LO. I am hoping, too, that my family will come to us for christmas this year, so I can take LO to a christmas tree farm and cut down a real tree!

Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rant: finally got my car fixed from a car accident that happened in October. Progressive fixed it, but when they took off the front bumper moisture got into the front lamp cover! Now I have to drag my ass back to get that fixed!!!! Ugh. Never ending!!!
GTKY: What family traditions does your family have and what traditions are you looking forward to doing with your child/children ?
So my dad's side of the family is Hindu; mom's side is Jewish. Holidays were always confusing for my sister and I! One tradition that we did have was school clothes shopping. My dad gave my sister and I a budget and we had to manage with that. It really taught me how to budget and really made me appreciate everything that I have. I want to teach Landon (when he's old enough) the same concept.
How far along are you? // 34 weeks
How big is baby? // the size of a cantaloupe
Any upcoming appointments this week? // regular prenatal on Thursday
Any new symptoms or cravings this week? // just emotionally hitting a wall. Ready for baby to get here!
Rants/Raves/Questions? // I miss my able body!!! Went for a two mile walk yesterday and I'm still feeling it today. I used to run long distance so this is super humbling.
GTKY: What family traditions does your family have and what traditions are you looking forward to doing with your child/children? // Like @belmont1785 we had Sunday lunches every Sunday after church, but DH and I don't have family in town so that won't work! Definitely looking forward to our own traditions though.
