Week 29 exhaustion

hi all!

i will be 30 weeks in a few days and I have been hit with a WALL of exhaustion. Anyone else feeling my pain?

Hi @samscasting I see that it's your first time posting. Welcome. We would love to get to know you and offer support, but I can tell you that you won't get a great response by just posting your own thread like this. Read the thread called "Read This First", introduce yourself in the intro thread, and then check out the weekly symptoms thread. These ladies are much more likely to feel your pain if they have even the slightest idea who you are.

I was feeling generally pretty good up until a few weeks ago. I also shook it off as I was just entering the third trimester and not sleeping great due to constant leg cramps at night. Come to find out at my appointment this week I am anemic and need to supplement with iron. Have you gotten your 25-28 week CBC check yet? If not I would bring it up to your doctor just to make sure.

I am only 26 weeks and the exhaustion is real...I wasn't this tired during 1st trimester at all.

Seems like a bad use of such awesome long days to be tucked into bed by 9pm (if not earlier).

I will be 30 weeks tomorrow and last night I was in bed for 8:30 pm and this morning I can barely keep my eyes open. You aren't alone!

it's a thing. pregnancy and being tired is a very real thing. and in the 3rd trimester, it's a duh kind of thing.

@JustBored10 I've been getting a lot of leg cramps too the past few weeks. I am wondering if low iron could be my issue as well. My prenatal doesn't have iron in it. I don't recall my ob practice doing another CBC around this time...I had one in the beginning but that's been it.

@DanaG definitely ask for one if they do not. Just let your doctor know what symptoms you have been having.

@msashley2010-2 I am too. I get exhausted after eating breakfast. It is like first trimester all over again but worse. WTH!

@DanaG Leg cramps can be caused by a ton of different things. Could be low iron, low calcium, low potassium, or low B-vitamins. Try eating bananas and drinking milk between now and your doctor's appointment to see if that helps decrease the leg cramps. Also depending on how baby is sitting when you sleep at night, if LO compresses a blood vessel to the leg it will also cause your leg cramps.

Also if you're not drinking enough water. Historically (pregnant or not) I tend to get leg cramps when I'm underhydrated - which at this point seems like all the time.

@samscasting the struggle is real! I alternate between having days with energy where I run around try to so all the projects and nesting I want to and days where I want to take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. Growing humans is hard work!

So tired! If want to be in bed by 7ish and so often am asleep by 9:30pm at latest.
