  • 1. What healthy habit are you working on?
Reducing carb and sugar intake to avoid excessive weight gain.

    2. How's it going? How can we help?
So far so good. I don't have any read food aversions or strong cravings yet so it's working for me.

    3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
I'm already resting better and feeling better overall.

    4. GTKY: What healthy habit is hardest for you to maintain?
Drinking enough water and getting my exercise. I'm working on them though!

  • 1. What healthy habit are you working on?
    Yoga before bed.

    2. How's it going? How can we help?
I sleep so much better when I actually do it but the fatigue is real! I think I'm going to tell myself 3 times a week and then bump it up to 5, and then every day.

    3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
Last week, I ate really well--tons of veggies and fruits and not a lot of processed food.

    4. GTKY: What healthy habit is hardest for you to maintain?
Honestly right now, it's hardest for me to get in my steps--sitting still makes the nausea more bearable and I have this irrational fear about walking too much ((**TW, I lost my last pregnancy after walking 3 miles several days in a row, End TW**))
  • 1. What healthy habit are you working on?
Walking at least 30 minutes a day. Whether it's on our treadmill or with DD outside. Nothing too crazy.

    2.  How's it going?  How can we help?
So far, so good. I've been able to sneak in a walk inside AND outside in one day. Score.

    3.  What is one (small) win you had last week?
Ordered a salad instead of a beef at Portillos. If any of you have been to Chicago, you know how tough that is.

    4. GTKY: What healthy habit is hardest for you to maintain?
Honestly, caffeine intake. I'm used to having at least a Venti plus a cup or two, and a Diet Coke a day. Tall and Grande do not cut it.

  • 1. What healthy habit are you working on?
Cutting sugar and getting at least 10000 steps a day.
    2. How's it going? How can we help?
Good so far.  Not sure how anyone could help.
    3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
Reached my step goal twice in the week.
    4. GTKY: What healthy habit is hardest for you to maintain?
Cutting down on bread and other carbs.  Also went to a gaming con for 2 days where sugary drinks were the only things available so I am struggling with kicking soda again.
  • 1. What healthy habit are you working on? I'm reducing carbs and sugar and going completely dairy free starting today (was recommended to me because of PCOS). I'm exercising too, but already doing that.

    2. How's it going? How can we help?
Well it's not even 9 AM here--so far so good?  :#

    3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
I quit coffee. I know, I know--I don't "have" to. But I figured it wouldn't be super hard for me to do because I really like caffeine-free teas. Definitely not judging people who are sticking with it though--I know a cup or so is supposed to be fine.

    4. GTKY: What healthy habit is hardest for you to maintain?
This dairy thing is going to be tough for me. I LOVE cheese and butter. In fact part of why I quit coffee is because I need half and half in it so its allure is sort of lost for me without that. I went gluten free for 6 weeks once and did better than I thought so hopefully this will also not be as bad as I think.
  • 1. What healthy habit are you working on? Healthy snacks

    2. How's it going? How can we help?
Pretty well. I have apples with peanut butter, cheese with a few whole grain crackers, and roasted chickpeas lately as go-to snacks.

    3. What is one (small) win you had last week?
I roasted some chickpeas and have found that they curb my appetite much better than if I were to give in to other salty snacks that are less healthful. I call that a win!

    4. GTKY: What healthy habit is hardest for you to maintain?
I love dark chocolate and ice cream, so if DH buys some with the best intentions, I have a hard time resisting.
