@doxiemoxie212 ugh... that sucks! Why does it take a guy wanting leave for management to realize oh hey... yeah... ladies get pregnant we should do something. We're a Canadian owned company so I had SOME hope that they might have a legit leave in place, but no. What else is new /sigh. And omg... I would love to pull off that kind of crazy, but MH would likely be even less inclined to dtd if I did that, but good idea for the future if I get frustrated enough lol
@poandhendrix I'm so sorry to hear about your family pet Hope the coffee cheers you up!
@Sailing_Mama thanks, I hope so too, he's just dense sometimes. He has a DD (6 years old) from a previous relationship, so in his mind he knows what he's talking about *eyeroll*

@lurvleybunchococonuts I just have no shame lol. I'll make DH pull up porn on his phone and make him watch it; whatever needs to happen. Basically sex is no longer sexy in our household.
@darkstar42 I am also new to OPKs (wondfos) this cycle, and I got four positives between roughly 6:30am Tuesday and 5:30am Wednesday with the 12pm Tuesday test line being darker than the control. I'm pretty sure that I O'ed Thursday based on CM, CP, and a temp dip, but I'm still waiting on a temp rise to confirm.
@looeeze I had three OPKs as dark as the control line and one that was darker than control, for a total of four positive tests. I tested a lot more frequently after the first positive so I'd have a better idea how long my surge might last. I made the distinction in case it was helpful to @darkstar42 in interpreting her tests.
Eek, I don't think I got to everyone. @purplg8r MH said he wants to see Baby Driver, your good impression makes me want to see it too. @nanilani04 Schrodinger's fertile window - made me laugh! It can be so frustrating sometimes. @poandhendrix I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. @lurvleybunchococonuts I'm sorry, that sounds frustrating with YH. Maybe when you've had some distance from it you can have a conversation about the importance of HIO during ttc and how it is making you feel to have him shut you down? @wisewitch222 That spike is looking promising! FX for you. @looeeze GL with the switch to green tea. I have (mostly) done the same, this cycle I have cheated a couple times with a half cup of coffee on days that I just really needed it, but overall less caffeine has been a good change.
R/R: Rant: I reached for my BBT this morning and it wasn't there. MH as nice enough to get up and look for it but couldn't find it so I had to use a basic thermometer whose reading I didn't trust. Rave: FF seems to think my temp was high enough to move to a yellow light. I found my BBT later and my temp was quite a bit higher than the other thermometer said, but of course I only recorded the original lower one. We are having a party at the house tonight for MH's bday and it should be fun!
CS/Q: Posted my chart below, no questions atm, just waiting for that third high temp...
GTKY: Post a meme that refers to your job.
Chart:
TW - this is first cycle AL so mc and negative HPT are noted as I had to follow hCG to zero end TW
Open circles were days I had bad sleep. The discarded temp was a day where I temped at the right time but went to bed 3+ hours later than usual and had had some wine.
@zamora_spin that's a really good suggestion and what I was planning to do. I definitely tend to have to rant/get out my annoyances before I can step back and take another look at it without the emotional involvement. I wish I could get to that point more easily without being a whiny pita first lol. Thanks to all you gals!

Ok this thread blew up and I'm mobile so, I'm sorry but, I can't respond to everyone right now. I am reading, lovetitting, and sending positive ute vibes to all.
@Sailing_Mama I read your post in the IF thread yesterday and was so angry for you! That doctor's behavior was unacceptable, and no doubt infuriating. Good for you for calling them back and telling them that you weren't happy with the appointment and asking to see someone else. Way to advocate for those answers. I hope that your appointment today is better.
@poandhendrix Oh no. I am so so sorry about your dog. That is so hard. Our old neighbors had a grand pyranese and they are just the sweetest, most gentle giants. Big hugs to you.
@lurvleybunchococonuts Ok, YH seriously needs to get with @looeeze's H and read TCOYF. "People get preg outside of their FW all the time." Um, no they fucking don't because they can't because science. That's an asshole thing to say (sorry). I'm sorry that his behavior is hurtful to you. It seems like he could use some education regarding TTC. The scenarios leading to pregnancy that he is citing are the exception, not the rule. Just ask any of the ladies here that have been TTC for years, have had losses, and are struggling with IF. Getting drunk and randomly banging is not how you get there. It does take more than that. Sorry if I'm ranting, and I know you probably already know all that because you are here. Question- does YH want to be TTC? How on board is he with kids? This just seems like stalling behavior to me.
Oh, also, I appreciate everyone's feedback about what I should do regarding my temps. I'm going to keep the earlier one with the open circle. Thanks all!!
@kbamomma33 I hear ya, hence the reason I get so frustrated. I might just start reading TCOYF out loud whenever we're in the car so he's forced to hear it (and we're in the car A LOT to pick up/drop off SD) lol. Believe me those questions have passed through my mind. I've flat out asked him if he wants to have another one and he swears that yes, he very much does. He has a list of names already picked out and often talks about "when we have a kid" not if (in fact he gets rather annoyed when I say "if we have a kid" instead of "when we have a kid"). So it gets frustrating. I don't think it's intentional, he's just so obtuse sometimes.
ETA: also you're right, it is an educational thing. He's never been around anyone (friends, family) that have actively been TTC, and I haven't been too open about the details seeing as he cringed at the words cervical mucus. Further education and desensitization may be in the near future lol. If I gotta deal with it, so does he.

All of you ladies are awesome! Thanks for the condolences. Appreciated.
@poandhendrix Really sorry for your loss as well. *creepy internet hugs your way*
@darkstar42 Kitties! They are so much fun! Hopefully that blue gel didn't taste good.
@wisewitch222 There is nothing better than HIO in your own bed. Gone are the days of finding it fun to do it in the car and on the beach. Your own bed is where it is at! FX that your timing was good too.
@lurvleybunchococonuts and @kbamomma33 I think a lot of the misunderstanding about timing of getting ku comes from misunderstanding natural variation in women's cycles. Newsflash, not everyone O's on CD14, despite the fact that even medical professionals generally make this assumption. People who don't understand that a woman could O earlier or much much later than CD14 may make the assumption that a woman got ku during some time other than her FW because they don't understand that FW can happen at times other than two weeks after LMP.
@kbamomma33@lurvleybunchococonuts Everyone's SO should read TCOYF! Because we'll have to do 100% of, you know, actually building a brand new human being from scratch, it's not really that much to ask them to read a book
@nanilani04 I went to LA for a cousins wedding. Awww was wishing you were an astronomer... I have such a huge astrophysicist crush on Neil Degrasse Tyson LOL! @poandhendrix so sorry about the dog!!! Your poor dad
@mileswithmyles you should get a positive OPK before you ovulate, so if you have had three days of higher temps, then you've already ovulated, and you won't be able to catch it with an OPK after the fact. Did FF give you cross hairs?
@mileswithmyles The general thought with OPKs is that many women have surges that start mid-morning, so sometimes FMU is too early to see the positive OPK, and if you wait until the next day to take another, you could miss your surge. What I usually do when I start to see fertile CM is one am (FMU) and one pm OPK. Everyone is different but I find that by doing them twice a day I am sure to catch my surge. I use cheap OPKs (Wondfo or Easy at Home, same thing), so I don't really worry about how many I am using, and sometimes will add in an early afternoon OPK as well once I've had a positive so I can better pinpoint when the surge ends. Generally, elevated temps occur after O. Were you using OPKs before the temp rise?
@doxiemoxie212 No crosshairs yet. I am wondering if this cycle will be wonky because it is my first one since having my IUD out. When we were TTC before and I went off the pill, my cycles were all over the place. My OB said that cycles should be more consistent coming off the IUD rather than the pill, though.
@zamora_spin Thank you! I've been using FMU. I bought the Wondfos because I am a POAS junkie. I've been using OPKs since CD 11 and all negative, but they've all been with FMU.
@mileswithmyles I went off of Mirena and had a normal cycle my first cycle, but everyone is different and some people do have an-O or long cycles after IUD removal. If you want you can share your chart, people may have thoughts on it. If you don't have CH's yet it's possible your rise isn't above coverline.
@mileswithmyles ah, yes, the copper IUD kills sperm/prevents implantation rather than preventing ovulation, right? Leaving a woman's cycles fairly undisturbed?
@looeeze YAASSS to TGIF. I was born 1982 so... I'm quite old.
@mileswithmyles Wow, you have a really wide variation in your pre-O temps (95.9 - 98 degrees) but your closed circles are telling me that you take your temp at consistent times. Is there any reason you can think of for the variation? I think FF is not yet giving you CH's because you are not technically above coverline.
@looeeze oh, sure, sure - also iconic. Even in the 80s/90s when I was a small human I hated that sort of design, though, lol, so I also have sort of an allergic reaction to the visuals.
@mileswithmyles I had a regular cycle the month after my IUD was removed (Jaydess - less hormones than Mirena). I wasn't temping mind you, but had two days of positive OPK's.
@zamora_spin Hey now, I still have two years on you. We aren't "that" old lol
@zamora_spin I was coming off of noroviris when I started temping, so maybe that could explain the first few days? Other than that, I don't know. I keep my thermometer on my nightstand and take my temp immediately.
