Embryo update

hey ladies. Did you guys get updates on your embryos during the incubation period ? I just called my nurse and she made me feel like an idiot. She stated they don't give updates till I go in for day 5 transfer. I just find this odd that the only info I have is how many eggs fertilized. :(

    That's very odd. In my clinic you get report on day 1,3 and 5
    TTC history in spoiler box:
    Me: 42, single
    Hysteroscopy: 2013
    IUI #1-2: 2013 BFN
    Surgery 10/2015: Planned to start trying again but had a surgery. (Not related to fertility)
    Surgery 5/2016: Planned to start trying again but had another surgery. (Not related to fertility)
    IUI  #3-5 (with Clomid): summer 2016 BFN
    IVF #1: 11/2016. 30R; 21M; 20F; 8B (6 day5 & 2 day6); 4 normal after PGS
    Medicated FET #1: 1/31/2017 transferred 1 embryo 3AA. BFP. Embryo stopped growing at 6w 1d. MUA at 9w 3d.
    Medicated FET #2: June 2017 - cancelled...
    Hysteroscopy #2: June 2017
    Medicated FET #2: 8/7/2017 transferred 1 embryo 5BB. BFP. Ended in CP.
    Medicated FET #3: 10/11/2017 transferred 1 embryo 3AA. BFN
    ERA: December 2017 - need an extra 12 hours of PIO
    Medicated FET #4: 1/24/2018 transferred 1 embryo 4AA. BFN
    Out of embryos.  :'(
    IVF #2: 03/2018.

    I always did a day 3 transfer but I got reports every day...
    DOR (FSH 13, AMH 0.48, AFC 6-9)
    IVF #1 -2016 March, antagonist, 5 eggs, 2 fertilized, 3DT - 8 cell and 6 cell no frag, chemical pregnancy
    IVF #2 - 2016 June, micro dose lupron, 3 eggs, 1 fertilized, 3DT 6 cell, BFN
    IVF #3 - 2016 November, estrogen priming + antagonist, 9 follicles, 3 eggs, none fertilized
    IVF #4 - 2017 March, testosterone priming + micro dose lupron, 2 eggs, none fertilized
    IVF #5 - 2017 May, A/ACP protocol, 4 follicles out of 7 seemed to get to required size, ovulated before retrieval, converted into IUI - BFN
    IVF #6 - 2017 July, A/ACP protocol, 3 follicles one stopped growing, LH rising, converted to IUI - BFN
    IVF #7 - 2017 September, antagonist, 5 follicles, 6 eggs,  3 immature, 3 injected, 1 fertilized, stopped growing day 3

    Same here. At day 1, I got a call on how many eggs were mature and how many fertilized.  I didn't know how many made it to blast until I was bottomless ready to lean back onto the chair/bed/table (whatever that thing was).  It wasn't until the next day did I get an email to find out how many made it to biopsy and freeze,

    Wow so I'm not alone. You are a trooper sp128 I don't know how I will kill the time for two more days. There is no bed side manner at all in any of this.

    Jeez!  That does sound a bit harsh! OP and @SP128. I had no idea clinics would do it that way - so last minute!  I guess if they are satisfied for sure you're going to 5-day transfer, or freeze, they figure that's all that matters?  :/ seems like such an impossibly tough wait, tho...

    Lurking. My clinic felt it was best to leave them be and let them grow until day 5. So I only reviewed the fertilization report and then on day 6 they called me. it was torture waiting but they said it was for the good of the embryo

    AMH .328     | FSH 13.2 
    Oct. 2016: Clomid + TI
    IVF: ER 3/1/17; 5 retrieved, 3 mature & fertilized
    Results: 2 PGS normal embryos
    Planned on August 2017 transfer

    My clinic called to update on day1 and 5 post ER unless something unexpected happened (good or bad). 
    Me: 41  DH: 46
    Unexplained infertility/AMA, polycystic ovaries, insulin resistance
    FET#1(July 2017): eSET of first of 4 PGS-normal embryos, DS born 3/30/2018
    FET#2(Oct/Nov 2019): eSET

    @BusinessWife yeah, I got through it with the mindset of if they didn't call me on day 2 for a day 3 transfer that must mean that at least is doing well enough for a day 5 transfer
