GTKY: What is one thing you think should be taught in high school that isn't already?

    18 weeks - artichoke, sweet potato

    How are you feeling?
    Good but not exactly like myself; it's like there's a new normal.  The new normal is pretty tired, pretty hungry, and moving a bit slower.

    Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
    Team Green.  I feel like the ute popped out a bit around 14-15 weeks and it's just stayed there.  Clothes are getting incrementally less comfortable so I guess that means some growth is happening.

    Any appointments this week/last? 
    Good, and so quick!, ob check-up Friday where she listened to baby's hb with the doppler.  Anatomy Scan is next Wednesday.  I'm nervous; trying not to think about it too much and just trying to have faith that LO is doing okay and is all healthy in there.

    GTKY: What is one thing you think should be taught in high school that isn't already?
    I don't know how Home Ec got such a bad rap, but it really is crucial to knowing how to manage your life.  From picking out ripe fruits and veggies and knowing how to prepare them, to understanding interest rates, and etiquette/manners.  It's all really important and all contributes to a better citizenry.

    I have been so out of touch the last couple of weeks!  Morning sickness made a come back for a couple of weeks and we've been running to every wedding in North America so my bumping has suffered.  Hoping to do better from here on out!

    16 weeks -Avocado
    How are you feeling?
    Much better! Tired due to some insomnia, and hungry all the time, but I'll take that over throwing up every day
    Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?
    Just found out we are expecting a BOY! I'm showing a bit, but I've felt like that for a couple weeks now (yay second baby).  Bought a couple pair of maternity shorts to get through the summer more comfortably. Ready to look more pregnant than chubby!
    Any appointments this week/last? 
    Last week we had the special sex reveal ultrasound, Monday I go in for my next "real" doctor appointment.

    Baby wearing. I was so excited to find the k'tan because it looked EXACTLY like what I wanted, plus I'm cheap and it doesn't cost more than a car payment, but after reading on the baby wearing thread I'm starting to doubt it and getting super bummed.  I'm okay with spending a little more on a good carrier/wrap thing since this is our second and we won't really need to make any big purchases, but it's so hard to pick the right one!  I also live in a small town so we don't have any baby wearing groups that I've found so far.  Planning on posting on Facebook to hopefully get some guidance too!
    GTKY: What is one thing you think should be taught in high school that isn't already?
    I agree with the home ec!  Also, "real life" things like mortgage/rent, car loans, credit and how it works, etc.  I'm not sure how much attention I would have paid in those classes in HS (except home ec, we still had that at my HS and I loved it) but in hindsight it would have been so helpful to at least have a basic knowledge of some of those topics that are so important in adult life. 
    **Edit to add that my home ec class didn't cover many financial topics. I remember the pregnancy and caring for a baby portion of the class, sewing, and cooking but that's it... could be I just tuned it out :lol:

    How are you feeling? Finally feeling well except I have BH lately; upping my water has helped.

    Do you know baby's sex? Have you started showing?     Baby Girl and yes.

    Any appointments this week/last? Anatomy scan next week

    Rants/Raves/Questions? None right now.

    GTKY: What is one thing you think should be taught in high school that isn't already? @whiska I totally agree with etiquette! I had to take it in my high-school and it really helped me in life. Also, a resume class or job preparation (ie. proper attire) class for juniors/seniors.
