I guess this post is mostly for STM+ and those who work with or near young children.
1) Fifths Disease (parvovirusB19) doesn't present in adults the same as is does in children. Most adults don't get the rash after the flu-like symptoms, but instead get awful joint pain. And for me personally, the flu like symptoms were significantly worse than anything DD1 had. In fact, the rash was a surprise, she never even had a fever.
2) It can be pretty dangerous in pregnancy. Thankfully one of DD1's classmate's mothers mentioned having the joint pain and it being parvo or it never would have dawned on me that that was what I had.
Just wanted to let everyone know, if you've been around someone with fifths you might want to mention it to your care provider.
