Saturday Ticker Change

Okay, @virginiaham - let's do this!

1) How many weeks along are you?

2) How big is baby (in fruit or pounds/kg)?

3) How are you feeling?

4) Any appointments this week?

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

6) GTKY: What are your 4th of July plans (stolen from Friday - thanks!) ?

Re: Saturday Ticker Change

  • 1) How many weeks along are you? 24

    2) How big is baby (in fruit or pounds/kg)? a cantaloupe or an ear of corn!

    3) How are you feeling? I'm feeling pretty great this week! Still have a bit of back pain in the evenings and some minor swelling but overall I'm feeling good :)

    4) Any appointments this week? Nope. I have to schedule my glucose test when I'm back from traveling.

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions? rave: I'm visiting my parents in PEI (Canada) for the next few days. Then I'm off to Chicago to start a new internship that I'm super excited about! My partner is on the west coast scoping out an apartment for us to move into this August. Lots of exciting things happening!

Questions: anyone use the halo bassinest? I'm thinking that will be baby's first bed but I'd love to hear from another mom that's used it.

    6) GTKY: What are your 4th of July plans? I am at home in Canada for the 150th birthday celebrations today, and actually flying to Chicago on the 4th, so I'll be able to catch the celebrations there as well.

Woot happy Saturday @itsamurphything!!!  Woah girl, good luck with your move/new job(??) next month!  It sounds like a big couple of months for you.  I looked at the Halo, too, and I'm really interested in hearing what other mommas say.

    1) How many weeks along are you?  25!

    2) How big is baby (in fruit or pounds/kg)?  Size of a prairie dog or cauliflower, ~1.5lbs

    3) How are you feeling?  It's been a big week.  I had to spend a few hours in OB Triage doing a NST for regular contractions that weren't responding to rest and hydration and the other few tricks my MW suggested.  They finally stopped after a few doses of cardizem.  I talked to my director the next day and put in my resignation.  Everyone has been so supportive and I'm thankful for that.  I'm still having contractions on and off but I started a magnesium supplement and it seems to be slowing them down.

    4) Any appointments this week?  MW on Thursday.

    5) Rants/Raves/Questions?  See above.  **eta** No cervical changes! I'm thankful for every day and week she cooks.

    6) GTKY: What are your 4th of July plans (stolen from Friday - thanks!)?  We have a little tractor parade in our neighborhood and then will probably grill and do yard games and watch fireworks in the evening.  This is our first 4th together since we've been married!

  • @virginiaham  sorry you're going through a stressful time! Yay for no cervical change, though. Fingers crossed that contractions stay away until that little one is more cooked.

Will you be staying home when baby comes? I bet it's a relief to have your resignation in and be able to focus on keeping baby on the inside a while longer.

My partner did find an apartment this week, so that's great news and we can start using that address to fill out necessary paperwork to get going on our move to the west coast. Lots of lawyer paperwork to get through first, but I'm hoping it moves quickly so I can get my care transferred ASAP!
  • @itsamurphything yes I'll be staying home after LO is born and you're exactly right, it's such a relief to focus on keeping her inside, esp when I'm having to time Braxton Hicks pretty much through the day each day.

Thats great about the apt!!  FX all the paperwork/moving goes smoothly!
