we tried to go to a celebration here. Too busy. Went to splashpad with kids. Now home waiting for football. Kids aren't old enough to stay up late for fireworks.
I guess I should actually participate in the thread in created
I live in a suburb of Calgary
This is our first summer here (just move out from the city in December) so we wandered around town and checked out all the goings on. There was free food at the rec center but the line was 10 miles long, so we wandered down town and then let the toddler play at the park.
Won't be going to fireworks for the same reason as you @cmillar36, the kiddo will be in bed for hours by then! But our neighbors say we may be able to see them from our bedroom! So that might be cool!
@kvacmak happy Canada Day. Are you in Airdrie? We are actually close enough to one of the venues for fireworks that we can watch them from our front deck.
