newbie | need advice

Hi ladies, I'm new to the boards and completely overwhelmed. I have checked the third party rep board but there doesn't seem to be any action or members there anymore.

I am 36, about to be 37 and have been trying to conceive since 2014. I have had all the test done and my issue is that I have no eggs. The test came back at 0.0 twice. So IVF with my own egg isn't an option.

I am now in the process of looking for an egg donor (frozen) and the research is overwhelming. I am not sure how reputable these people are so I need your advice.

please share with me your thoughts and opinions on which egg bank to use. Any recommendations or advice is helpful.

Also, I'm really struggling with my infertility clinic (Ivfmd) in south florida. I like my doctor but the front desk staff is impossible to reach, and get answers from them. Anyone else experience this? Since I like my doctor do I stick it out or start looking for a new clinic?

Thank you

  • Welcome! And so sorry about your news. We are in a similar but the reverse, because we have no sperm so far. They will try to do a retrieval for DH in a few weeks but till then we don't know if his sperm are an option for ivf either. :/

It's definitely a little scary and was totally overwhelming at first. But these boards - well the WOMEN on the boards!!! - have been a lifesaver! There is a thread recently started on the first page if you scroll down a little, dedicated to the DE (donor egg) topic. So please do read through that and check in with the ladies there.... Welcome again, and GL!!!

  • Thank you @BusinessWife H has a LSC but we are working on it. I tried looking for the thread you mentioned but didn't see it. My eyes might be playing tricks on me since I've been researching for hours so I'll check again.

  • It's called, "IVF with donor eggs,"
I wish I knew how to do a link on mobile....
  • No worries, thank you. I'll do a search for the name
  • I'm sorry you are here. I did fine a more active infertility community over on Reddit, and I think they have been really helpful in my journey so far.
