What are your miracle finds?

With my first, I ate all things ginger. My acupuncturist recently recommended making ginger tea by boiling shredded ginger in a big pot of water and straining it out, then chilling it. It is even calming these pregnancy migraines.

So simple and delicious which makes me wonder how I didn't discover this earlier!

What are your miracle finds?

Re: What are your miracle finds?

  • I freeze pickle juice in an ice tray. I don't fill it all the way up, just enough to make a small cube for when I'm nauseous. It is helping a great deal! Pickle pops FTW!

  • Somewhere I have a recipe for a ginger berry lemonade that has been a lifesaver for past pregnancies. I should pull that back out.

I also do a smoothie with ginger, komatsuna and apple that's ideal.

Also, there is another thread already started for nausea remedies. The search function is awesome for finding similar threads.

  • Did I violate a rule here?
  • It's just that if you look at the weekly symptoms thread and search nausea remedies, it's been covered. I know some posters come later and miss threads which is why there is a search button. If you comment on the thread it brings it back to the top of the board so we will see that someone new commented to it. It's more helpful if someone comes and searches nausea and finds one thread than a bunch of threads to search through.
  • Gotcha. I was talking about general good finds and didn't mention nausea but I understand the point you are wanting to make.

@essentialpeace That sounds awesome! I love pickle juice anyways so I'm going to do this tonight!

@BelhurstBride I'm going to look up that drink. Sounds super refreshing, too!
  • @barrelocarol it does help to clear up any misunderstanding if you use your title to clearly state the topic you are hoping to discuss. Your title is extremely vague and it may not get clicked on by the people who would like to discuss "good finds" or "miracle remedies," or whatever you want to discuss.
  • @the_other_mother Good point! Ok edited the title.
